El Cafecito

This is one of the best breakfast spots on Holbox if you are looking for crepes or croissants. I just had the Crepas Frutas with added caramel and honey. Also Café de Olla (Mexican coffee). Mmm mmm. Both very delicious. El Cafecito is also good for lunch– focaccia, pizza, salads etc. (Note: if you are looking for eggs for breakfast this is not the place.). Very friendly staff. Casual and comfortable place to hang out with free wi-​fi.

This small café should be considered an ideal spot for anyone in Holbox looking to eat and drink during the morning hours. Situated just over a block off the main town square, Cafecito is one of the few food vendors open at this time of day. In fact, since most of the population is rather lively throughout the late night, those you will encounter at Cafecito are some of the only people awake on the island in the morning. They offer a variety of foods and drinks, but I really took to the cuernos, or simple croissant sandwiches. Also, definitely go for the chipotle sauce that they provide. It is delicious. I was a little underwhelmed with the iced coffee and the mango lassi, but the food brought me back a second, third, and even fourth time.

Nice little breakfast spot tucked a few blocks away from downtown. Great outdoor seating area on the porch, so you can be outside and still with shade. Friendly service.
In two days having breakfast here, I tried the Nutella crêpe and the fruit, yogurt and granola plate. Both were ample portions and tasty. There are also croissant breakfast sandwiches– my husband had the salmon and cream cheese croissant both days, and it came with a little plate of three house made sauces. I loved the parsley garlic one! Juices and coffee were fine, but not extraordinary. To note, the iced coffee came blended, which was surprising.
Overall, a great little breakfast spot to enjoy the morning before heading a few steps down to the beach.

El cafecito es sin duda uno de los mejores cafés en Holbox, con decoración rústica y un lugar ideal para irte a tomar el café mientras ves el atardecer, o si necesitas internet, tienen wifi para que te conectes un poco con el mundo exterior, mandes algo de trabajo pendiente o simplemente subas tus experiencias vividas en la isla.
También ofrecen bagels, pizzas o croissants, así como jugos naturales y postres.
Lo mejor de todo es que lo atienden los dueños y yo en lo personal les he pedido ajustes en sus pizzas (pedí una de vegetales pero sin queso y con gusto me la prepararon) así que su menú también puede ser vegano si tú lo eliges y sin ningún problema lo puedes disfrutar.
Los precios son bastante buenos y su trato es excelente. También tienen promociones especiales como el pay de mango o de limón por 45 pesos que puedes disfrutar acompañado de tu capuchino, tu café expreso o tu smoothie.

Es un pequeño restaurante café, a una cuadra del mar y a 3 del centro. Si eres como yo que te gusta tomarte un tiempo de desconecte de las actividades de rutina para planificar proyectos, este es el lugar, ya que es uno de los pocos lugares con Internet en Holbox.
Tienen unos bagels deliciosos, por ejemplo el de salmón, las pizzas también son muy buenas, te recomiendo la de pepperoni, son las clásicas pizzas italianas delgaditas y crujientes. Los precios están muy accesibles y tienen servicio de desayuno y comida.
Como casi todos los locales en Holbox es atendido por la dueña, una europea muy amable, por lo que el servicio es de lo mejor. Si por alguna razón no tuvieran algún ingrediente (recordemos que es una isla y no disponen de todo), te hace unas propuestas bastante interesantes que no están en el menú, pero quedarás súper satisfecho con sus exóticas combinaciones.

I loves this restaurant! They had many vegetarian options! Portions were ample and ambiance was calm. They have salads, focaccia sandwiches (yum!), crepes, lasagna, and juices! I got a mixed veg and fruit juice and it was delish!!! Price is right also.
