El Colequita Mariscos

I loved this place. We accidentally found it while on the marina looking for a taco shop that was closed. There weren’t as many tourists there; it was packed full of mostly locals during the off season. Every other restaurant was dead or closed, so we figured this place must be good. We came for lunch and had a beautiful view of the marina. They give us a bottle of tequila with a shot cup, albondigas soup, and salsa as soon as we sat down. The menu is mostly seafood. We ordered their fish al pastor tacos and shrimp ceviche… yum! My husband and I each ate a taco and then had to order two more! Everything was perfection right down to the homemade tortillas! To end our meal, they served us complimentary fried bananas and crema de tequila, also delicious. To top everything off, it was so reasonably priced and their serving sizes were huge. With two items ordered and two margaritas it came out to $ 26 (US) including the tip. I would definitely come back and order the exact same thing.

Lucky to have try this place as my first meal in Puerto Vallarta. They welcome you with free shot of tequila which is surprisingly smooth and tasty. I ordered camarones aqachille which is raw shrimp marinated in the lemon juice with green sauce. It’s refreshy, it’s tasty, it’s A Lot of shrimp they gave you. I really love this place hopefully I can get to try again.
