We came here twice during our stay in PV. It’s pretty close to our hotel and our scuba diving instructor recommended it. During our two visits, we ordered shrimp tostada(crunchy and fresh shrimp), ceviche tostada(he preferred this over the shrimp but I in reverse), half and full order of oysters(they give you a plate of oyster meat with red onions and cucumber on top) that is deliciously briny, crab empanadas(full of crab meat and perfectly crispy), octopus tostada(very tender octopus meat, although idk if I cared enough about the accompanied sauce? Not exactly sure what it was), crab enchiladas(not a fan of sauce all over my food but the boy ordered it), shrimp Aguachile(similar to the oyster order but with green chile so it’s a little spicy), shrimp quesadilla(great!), and shrimp gober style(shrimp with garlic butter). All in all, it’s a great meal if you’re in the area. Cash only. Service can be a little spotty.

Great restaurant at the north end of the harbor. We stopped here on a Wednesday for lunch. We had a great waiter that really helped us a lot. We ordered tons of food and drink. Great food, condiments, atmosphere, and service. I hope to come back here again and again. No credit cards, but an ATM on site. Tons of shrimp. Complimentary marlin tacos! Great margaritas!

The staff was very attentive. The waitress gave excellent recommendations. One of the freshest cerviches we have ever had. The green cerviche was delicious. Also, the Aztec shrimp enchiladas were flavorful and the chipotle spice in the sauce gave it a nice kick. It was recommended by a local and we appreciated being able to get out of the resort and eat like the locals. We also devoured the deep fried whole red snapper and Mexican platter. Everything came out quickly and we were one happy family.

We ate here 2 and most of the time we had ceviche, also tried«pulpo a las brazas» it was huge and couldn’t finish it all but came beautifully decorated this review is on the nuevo vallarta location

We ate at all kinds of places during our week in Mexico(large, small, fancy, and not), but this one deserves some high praise. We needed a quick bite before the airport. Unilocal seemed to point us to this one. We were not disappointed. The shrimp empanada was great – really great. The ceviche«Acapulco style» was awesome. It wasn’t little bits of fish swimming in tomato sauce. This was large tender pieces of filet, with an amazing sauce. I had been missing sushi from the states and boy did this do the trick. Even my daughter’s cheese quesadilla was pretty good. And also the onions in vinegar salsa was also unique and delicious. We also had some super-friendly service – a waiter who took us under his wing, making sure we knew what we were ordering(sizes, etc) so that we wouldn’t be surprised. There were some tourists here, but mostly Mexican ones. The menu is in Spanish with a little bit of translation, but it felt like a much more authentic Mexican experience than many other restaurants we frequented on this trip. It’s pretty casual(it’s a bar and fish joint), but it feels clean and bright. And the food kicks butt. Oh yeah, and pretty modestly priced. I will make a point of hitting it again the next time I’m near the airport.

This is a delightful spot for a casual meal a close walk from the Mayan resorts and near the marina. Our group of four was greeted quickly and promptly received chips and salsa. Drinks arrived in short order. Their selection of house wines is surprisingly good. Our group sampled the coconut shrimp, shrimp kebabs, bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with mozzarella, steak fajitas and the mahi mahi, grilled with garlic butter. The shrimp was the favorite. Delicious in each of the preparations. i preferred the simple grilled shrimp, but others are still talking about the coconut shrimp. Our server was terrific. She was engaging, attentive and upbeat. She helped make it a fun outing.

Shrimp empanada was definitely hands down the best thing we had, very tasty. I’m debating going back or picking up a to go order. Make sure you order it with cheese«con queso»! The guacamole was also very good. Go for an agua fresca! Flavored constantly changing and selling out. Worth a visit if you are staying in the marina area but probably wouldn’t recommend to make a special trip from centro. Definitely more of a lunch spot, packed with locals and some tourists. They close by 6−7pm so make sure to go for an early dinner. We went at 9pm on our first night and it was locked up. Total for 3 people including drinks only $ 30. Can’t beat that.

Really cool spot to grab lunch and not far from the marina. Unilocal guided me here and I was glad to check it out. It’s all open air and the vibe is fun, I can see this place being a popular spot to hang out at night to have drinks and munch on awesome food. We tried a variety of things like the marlin tostados, marlin tacos and my favorite. the shrimp empanadas. All of the food we ate was good but the empanadas is where it’s at. They are not shy with the shrimp and they give a nice portion that will fill you up. The service was great and our drinks were always filled and our plates were picked up promptly after we had finished eating. The price was right and it’s easy to find when walking around the marina. I would definitely come back here again but will have to check it out at night since this looks like a fun bar to hang out at and people watch.

We arrived in PVR during the wave of afternoon flights from the US. So after the long Immigration, Customs, Rental Car and Hotel Check-In lines, we were ready for a quick, easy meal close to our hotel, Villa Del Palmar-Flamingos. This restaurants is somewhat tucked back a-ways, but it had good signs. Parking is limited, but we didn’t have a problem early on a Tuesday evening during the slow-season. All of the seating is «outdoors», meaning it is ALL covered, but the windows are open and there is no AC — just fans. The temp was fine though, even for August. Service was ok — not great. There was a trio of guys that helped throughout the meal. We didn’t need anything special, so I can’t rate their ability to accommodate requests. Food was good. My mahi-mahi was a thin filet cooked in butter and garlic — very tasty — along with vegetables and rice. Wife had the coconut shrimp, which was fried a bit much, but fine for her liking. My six year old daughter ate from the kids menu and had quesadillas — hard to screw those up. The most unique thing about the meal was that their chips are served with an onion-in-vinegar«salsa». Overall, I’d go back — it was a solid Mexican meal.

Awesome ceviche joint in the Marina. There’s also a second location in Old Town. Great service and reasonable priced. Opens from 11 am to 6 pm.
