Cheap eats and craft beer in the viaduct area, but if you’re looking for a decent range of craft beer you’re better off with 16Tun over in the Wynyard Quarter or Vulture’s Lane up in Vulcan Lane. Lacked ambiance on the evening we visited, although it was early and a bit of a rainy night; the music choices were haphazard and more conducive to late night drunken dancing than early in the night drinks. We probably won’t make a special trip to head back here, but wouldn’t say no if we were in the area and thirsty.

I found this bar was a little bit out-of-the-way. It’s not far from the rest of the viaduct, in fact it’s only a few extra metres walk. It’s just a bit hidden. And lacks the ambience you get from watching all the foot traffic/water/boats in the main part of the viaduct. Overall as a bar it’s not a bad place to hang out. The drinks are well-priced, the décor is modern, there’s a large outdoor seating area and a fireplace. Could be a good place to come with a large group if you want to all be able to get seats as they reserve tables here, and I don’t think it’s a bar that ever gets overly busy.

I really enjoyed this bar located in Bar Central, has astro turf at the entrance and outdoor lounge area, which was eye catching and cool. Is a fab bar for live music, as I found out the evening I was there, a very busy bar for after workers in the CBD area, and also a bit later on in the evening the city party people. Usually they have Live music in the acoustic genre from Wednesday to Sunday, from about 6:30pm-9pm, and then a Live DJ to groove the dancers into the night. Always a lively joint to hang on Princes Wharf.
