A Hot dog is big enough, but the price is also expensive. The taste is not bad, but it is not that good, as well.

A pretty broad range of themed hot dogs, all large on a soft brioche bun. Unfortunately I found that the flavor of the sausage was lost a little in the sauce and slaw in my Slaw Dog. May try another dog in the future.

We were expecting alot from this tiny place, it looked so funky from the street. We ordered the vietnamese and the italian hot dogs and chips. The roll that the sausage came in seemed very stale. The sausage itself was a pork one but did not seem to be made out of the best materials. It also seems a bit pricey with the hot dogs costing $ 9.50 each. The chips were soggy, so overall it was a pretty disappointing experience. I dont think we will be returning for a second visit

Both of our hot dogs were excellent, great craft ingredients and sauces. Reminds me of Po’Dogs in Seattle. Some street construction when we were there detracted from N already slightly awkward seating area but I would go again.

YUM who doesn’t love a good dog… maybe a little more on a slightly hungover Friday! I don’t eat red meat so was really impressed to find a chicken and vegetarian hot dog on the menu. If dogs aren’t your food of choice there is cabinet food and burgers too. We sat outside and watched the business folk wander by. I wouldn’t get overly excited about his place but it is a tasty cheap eat with fast service.

If you can make junk food taste good and a bit healthier. Then you have found a good niche market. Of course a good location wouldn’t hurt either. Dogmatic advertises all natural lean meats. To me if you are making a burger or sausage with lean meats only. Then it has to be cooked properly or risk it being a dry piece of cardboard or a stick of cardboard. I sampled the Slaw dog. First thing I noticed was that the dog didn’t have a snap to it. Upon close inspection, but don’t quote me on this. I found that the dog or sausage which ever name you wanna call it is skinless. I m not a big fan of skinless sausages. Because once it’s skinless it’s no longer a sausage. More like a stick of burger pattie. But once I got over my sausage skin OCD. The flavour of the dog won me over. The slaw is creamy and not wet. The cheese was melted completely. The bun was definitely toasted, nice and warm on the inside even with the cold slaw. The dog itself is seasoned well, the meat is somewhat on the dry side. But that’s expected of a lean meat sausage. Overall, the central location of this little shop has great potential of making it big. And they serve decent dogs. It might not be popular with everyone because it’s not the Wendy’s dog that they know. But you just can’t beat a great hotdog for when you have an itch in your stomach that you can’t scratch. The only criticism that I have is that it is slightly overpriced for what it is, even if it is gourmet.

Aside from hotdiggidydogs, Dogmatic offers fresh in-house baked pastries, along with freshly brewed coffee. They are fabulous! The blueberry muffin I had was beyond perfection. I don’t know how they did it, but the top had a nice caramel brown color to it, with a gentle top crunch. On the inside were warm, semi-soft, fresh blueberries. To compliment my pastry I had a cappuccino, no sugar, which again I don’t know how it was done tasted sweet and delicious. I was on a mission for a sweet pastry and coffee and got exactly what I was looking for here for only $ 8. There was a gentleman who actually sat down to have one of their hot dogs for breakfast. Hmm if that ain’t a sign, I don’t know what is. I am returning for lunch just to find out!

Hot dog is one of my favourite street food, so when I found this shop last year, I bought hot dog without any hesitate. Taste is alright but I waited around 15 minutes for just one hot dog. I went there today again, it has been past 1 year since I bought last time. I had to waited around 3 – 4 min to order, even there was a only one customer before me. I ordered 2 hot dogs and I waited another 15 minutes. Not a busy time and one customer was waiting. Taste was alright, not like I expected but sill not bad. I didn’t order coffee because they use Bach espresso which I am not prefer, also I didn’t want to wait anymore. Dog price is $ 9.80, not so cheap as street food and you need to wait like course meal. If you wanna try it, have enough time for it.
