Love this place. I’ve driven pass this place so many times, and finally got a chance to come in. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Clean and natural feel. Lots of wooden furnitures. Has a mixture seatings for different group sizes. Serves mostly branch foods. Uses pretty much all organic products. Flavour is a bit on the lighter side, but it is refreshing. Not known for their speed, but definitely worth the wait. Do try their famous pancake! No dedicated parking, but there are plenty of street parking around. The space down the back is only for tenants and not for restaurant customers.

A beautiful café that I noticed while we were driving into Parnell. Immediately loved their wooden outlined front door with the neatest shovel handle and big glass windows. Inside, their space is clean with a white tiled front wall and white coffee machine. Little wooden shelves making peek holes into their busy kitchen and wood slates lining the walls and opposite white wall with a simple bike hung up. Self serve water up the front. Tall cabinet and fridge straight below with the most appetising looking salads and sweets. There are cushioned front seats or a wooden bench at the windows as well as a communal wooden table with stacks of magazines and newspapers to browse while you wait. They have a side alleyway with a key for their bathroom. Cool menu that suits their real earthy natural feel décor which I adore. Got the Heuvos rancheros which was like a Mexican dream brunch dish. You can pick to have it with fried or poached eggs and comes on a tin plate that I just adore whenever I see in cafes. A corn tortilla with kidney beans, crushed avo and pico de gallo. Yum. Got quite busy so try come early cause you definitely don’t want to miss a seat here.

Stopped by for a coffee after a walk thru the Parnell farmers market near the library . Great cuppa, nice cup. I’m against those tulip cups some places have I kinda feel a bit shorted when I get a coffee in one of those . Wished I’d had 20min to spare to eat the 20 min pancake, oh well definitely next time . Nice open space inside with lots of light and friendly service. See you again Domain & Ayr.

This airy space on Parnell road has a combination of European and South American flavours that are bound to satisfy. The coffee’s great too. My must try tips are the pancakes(despite the 20 min wait) and the delicious pumpkin muffins that always leave me a little sad when they’ve run out.

Came across this cutie on my way to Parnell Library. It feels like a new-year treat! The freshness it awakes you is just perfect. And of course it soaks you in on the spot. Clean, Simple wooden texture quite suits this café’s concept – support and provide the local offers. On the menu you will find lots of attractive items, such as Okiwi Bay Salmon. Sitting down inside with the view of the wooden vintage bike and the street scenery of Parnell, how relaxed it is! Coffee is beautiful, with a ginger loaf or brownie pairing is a nice plus. Hmm, I do wish I could live nearby:)

Been to Domain & Ayr a couple of times for brunch and breakfast and it’s a great place for good breakfast food. The coffee is great and the juices are amazing. The food is pretty good, but nothing special about it and I really think the range on offer could be better and the menu changed every now and then. But the food they do make is always great with excellent portion sizes. Good atmosphere and nothing to complain about with the staff. A nice place to have brunch, and right by the Domain for a nice walk afterwards!

Now I’ll be honest I havent had food from here, but I have had a few of their juices, and they are amazing! Their cold, refreshing and they give you such a kick! The staff are great and the set up is very cute. Perfect place to stop in a have a juice at the end of your Saturday walk through the domain.

Domain & Ayr is one of my regular brunch spots. It sits in that weird strip of road between Newmarket and Parnell, just down from the big Mobil station and opposite the entrance to the Auckland Domain. They do this juniper herb hash thing which is greasy, but everyone who’s anyone knows that greasy = delicious. The food on offer is organic where possible and they’ve got a good selection of beverages, including freshly squeezed juices served in jars(the orange refresher is my favourite) and smoothies. The coffee is Kokako. My favourite things to eat?: The hash, the chicken salad, the macadamia caramel slice in the cabinet. Parking is generally pretty good in that area.

I am a big fan of having regular eateries and Domain & Ayr has made itself one of mine. With great options from a delicious big breakfast to delectable creamy mushrooms, I enjoy the range this café has to offer. The sauce of the creamy mushrooms seems to be addictive, with some sort of flavour in it that makes you keep licking your lips. My friend ordered the 20 minute fluffy pancake, which actually took 20 minutes much to the frustration of us others(we were asked if we wanted our food earlier and we politely, and foolishly said no), however it was definitely worth the wait for the lucky individual. The staff are super friendly, with the lady on the till always sharing a joke and the male undoubtedly greeting you upon entry. I have even extended my trust to the cabinet food, which has failed to let me down. The smoothies, served in jars, are very refreshing and seem to add some bounce after a nasty hangover.

Every time I’m sat at the traffic lights on my way out of the Domain at the top of Parnell Road, I always look at this little café and tell myself to go and try it. Today I did just that; I popped in there with my partner for coffee and cake at lunchtime. The café was full of a young, trendy crowd enjoying a lazy Sunday lunch. The café is only small and pretty much all of the tables, inside and out, were full. The service was really good, the guys behind the counter were so friendly and I was really impressed by their white chocolate and raspberry cake and my partner loved his banana loaf. These cost $ 4.50, as did the coffees, so no complaints there. I only wish I’d have gone in there for brunch instead of just a snack as the poached eggs on toast looked absolutely amazing. They pride themselves on serving great quality organic food and everything is either vegetarian or vegan. I’ll definitely be returning for my own lazy Sunday brunch next weekend.

The name Domain & Ayr suits this wonderful little café, considering it sits just opposite the Auckland Domain! When I visited, I grabbed a coffee and a muffin to go(which were delicious) however I noticed they had a cabinet full of tantalizing looking items, as well as a large brunch menu. My boyfriend purchased one of their smoothies which was so so good and another upside? All of their ingredients are organic, so you can feel confident that you are purchasing and consuming items that are good for you. Being organic you would think that they would charge more, but our bill seemed very reasonable and not overly different to other cafes. There aren’t really any other cafes nearby either so its really nice to see that this place still takes pride in their service and what they serve, big thumbs up!
