Sometimes when I go to Farro I get all daydreamy and imagine all the food I would buy for those amazing dinner parties I’ll have when I’m a grownup. Then I’m brought back to earth when I realise how much it all costs . On a more realistic note come here for a sandwich they have fillings and combinations that are so mouthwatering you won’t be sorry. I keep wishing for this crab salad combination I had a while ago. I even brought some crab to try to recreate it at home . Yes some things here are expensive, but when you’re after that special ingredient you cant go wrong at Farro . Parking here is awful so I recommend coming early in the morning.

I love coming to Farro’s, one of the best parts is that you can order a coffee and walk around the store with it and pay for it at the checkout with all your groceries! A small coffee is only $ 3.50 and a large is $ 4.50– they don’t charge extra for soy!!! Also they have a prepaid large coffee card of 10 for $ 35.00! What a bargain! The produce here is always very fresh and delicious! I am surprised as I find quite often cheaper than the supermarket. The weekly specials on meat and fresh produce makes this a must for grocery shopping and grabbing a daily coffee. I also love how they put samples out for you to taste some of there delectable products! The center of the store contains a deli/bakery where you can pick up salads, sandwiches, slice and much more! I haven’t tried the white rocky road but it looks sensational. The only bad experience I have had here is when we bought fish just after Christmas and it was not fresh/inedible, this may be due to not being able to get fresh stock in that day… however, when we returned to the store they offered us a full refund. Another bonus is that it’s easy to access as there is plenty of car parks. Great customer service, Keep up the good work Farros!

If you like the finer side of food, this is the place to come. You will pay more than the local supermarket, but the quality speaks volumes. Wish we had one local to us as Farro’s are the only known stockist of my favourite dip, Taramasalata. Well worth the trip !!

Farro Fresh is perfect if you’re having a dinner party. I usually don’t have the spare cash to do all my shopping here(although that would be nice) but if I’m looking for something a little special I head to Farro Fresh. The gourmet selection is unrivaled in Auckland; I could spend hours rifling through the cheeses, olives, pastas, spices and sauces. The fruit and vege is pricey but you pay for the superb quality. The meat section is perfect for ideas for a fancy dinner party meal, I always get inspirated here, ha. What I like best is that I can wander the store, Mocha in hand; it’s a much calmer shopping experience than at your monster supermarket

Want a place where you can spend lots of money on food, good food that is, if so go to Farro Fresh. When I was in the area I used to come to Farro’s at least every 2 weeks and when I started coming here there was only 1 in Auckland, I always thought it was better than Nosh well at least the Greenlane one anyway.
What I love about Farro’s is that pretty much anything you are looking for that you won’t find in the supermarket you will find here. There fruit and veges are actually quite reasonable prices and very fresh as well. They often have specials on Fish and have the best quality meat and poulty. They have delicious coffee and scrummy pastries and cakes. They have lots of Italian — good pastas, Mexican — not the supermarket Mexican, all sorts of spices, yummy cheeses, the list goes on and on really. Farro Fresh is just packed with stuff, yes some of it expensive, but its all soooo good. This is definitely another place I miss having just around the corner from me, heres hoping the open another one but maybe in Birkenhead, please !

I love coming to Farro’s. They have everything here, from fresh fruit and vege, a deli, a bakery, meat and seafood section, also merchandise i. e baking and cooking materials, tins, pots and pans, cupcake essentials, baking decorations, cook books and much more. I’m really bad when I come into stores like these because I just stand there and look at EVERYTHING, day dreaming about how wonderful it would all look in the kitchen I don’t have. Hey, dreams are free right?! This gourmet food store is on the expensive side, but you come here for quality and more exclusive brands. In the bakery section they also have a coffee machine. What better way to do your shopping than with a coffee in hand? You’re essentially killing two birds with one stone, getting energy while doing the food shop. Even if you don’t buy anything from here, it’s worth popping in to see what all the fuss is about. You never know, you might find a deal that’s better here than at your usual supermarkets.

I love coming in here! If you strike it right, you can have a delicious afternoon tea sampling all the amazing foods being demonstrated by the gourmet food companies stocked at the store. It is great to try the foods before buying them, but also really valuable to talk to the people who actually make it and find out extra hints and tips and background about that food. My tips: There’s usually a trolley in the fresh vege section with seconds — they’re totally good. The fish section has delicious fresh seafood that are creatively prepared so you can whip up something easy and fancy for dinner. The cheese section is extensive, and it’s easy to get carried away :) The baking section is where I pick up most of my supplies — there are heaps of cake decorating bits and pieces — but the one thing they don’t stock is coloured fondant. General gourmet packaged foods — there is so much to choose from and you can easily put together some great food hampers for gifts.
