Wikipedia defines a snob as someone who believes him or her to be inherently superior to people for a wide variety of reasons. I am not a snob and I believe that I can mix it with the roughest of folks, and on the same level hobnob with those who are blue-ish in the veins. However, I do have certain standards, and I do choose to mix with people of a similar social standing; purely because we share similar interests. That being said, it must come as a surprise that I’m a fairly regular visitor to Innfield, a visitor who enjoys a beer and placing my hard earned cash on the rugby match of the week. Everyone should have a sin or a secret, and mine is putting a few green ones on the rugby, tennis or league. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose; doesn’t really matter though, it is more like a hobby. What I do notice here is that the people enjoy themselves, and that sets off a good vibe, a vibe that makes the bar appealing. And as long as it is appealing, then I will return.

Innfield is an old sports bar on Glenfield’s main drag. Swanky she aint, but there are times in life where you just want to dress down, sit with a mate with a pint of something hearty and stick a few bucks on the races or watch the footy. On that score, Innfield can’t be faulted. It’s got a couple of screens split between sport and racing, and always the bunch of old regulars that you expect to find at the local sports bar. Staff are a cheery bunch too, and the food is standard pub fare. A good, honest to goodness sports bar.
