Red Bar

A cute little bar just off K’ Rd… and I mean LITTLE! When we visited on a Friday night it was comfortably full with a chilled crowd of people chatting & lounging on the squishy sofa chairs. The music was funky, and the low red lighting made everyone look like an extra in a music video! Great espresso martinis, friendly bar staff & a place you can actually hear yourself think over the music: not a bad little find.

Tiny bar but it packs a punch.
Awesome cocktails and they almost take it as a challenge to come up with something different and a cut above the rest.
Nice place to chill out for a few drinks to start or end a night out.

Red Bar is located just down from K Road, which makes it an awesome place to start (Or end) a big night clubbing.
Whilst this place is pretty tiny, it makes up for it in atmosphere. There’s always a rotating roster of some of Auckland’s top DJ’s pumping out great tunes, whether you want drum and bass, deep house, trance, or just some good old tunes from the boys ipod, you’ll usually be able to find it here.
Alex the owner, and Rocky the head barman, are in my opinion some of the best cocktail mixers in the city. Not content to just stick with the basics, the boys are always trying something new, whether it be Mars Bar infused vodka (BETTER than it sounds) to violet daquiris, the best line to lead with when you arrive is, ‘Suprise me’.
