In recent years, I have gotten to travel the world, taste many different foods as well as enjoy trying-out many coffees. When I was younger, a very pretentious friend always stated that the best coffees were always prepared in Europe(yet, he never visited that region of the globe — hmmm…). Well, not allowing his assessment to obscure me into any high expectations, I was able to savor many differently prepared coffees in Europe and guess what — they taste predominantly awful; France is a particular disappointment! With that written and said, I believe the best served coffee is served at this lovely corner café known as Johnny Feedback! My usual cappuccino is served with a bold firmness and balance without being too overly strong and tasting just right! And their Long Black coffees are genuinely delicious, too. And the equivalent of my usual American drip coffee is fantastically translated to an Americano and JF undoubtedly makes a deliciously strong cup! The location is absolutely wonderful, originally designed, and welcoming! Sometimes I come here to order another cappuccino in one day. And many times when I arrive from abroad(like from Europe) into New Zealand, I always look forward to my coffee beverage from Johnny Feedback because I trust it will be handsomely good and tasty!

Selling supreme is always a good sign ! Especially when they have the supreme blend rather than the common cheaper boxer blend used in most supreme café locations. The service here is key to what makes this place so great ! Always service with a smile and always nice to chat about the great alt music they often have playing in the background. When the suns out the outdoor seating is also great. I haven’t had much of the food, but the brownie I did try was amazing . Currently my favourite coffee stop around k road

Some of the best coffee I’ve had in Auckland and the staff are very friendly. I wish I could take this place back to Seattle with me.

In a small wee coffee shop, like Johnny Feedback, it’s all about the staff. You want to know that you are going to… a) Get a perfectly extracted brew b) Leave feeling decidedly more upbeat than when you arrived. Unfortunately, other than saying they use Supreme, I can’t comment on a)(having been out to the airport for a 6am pickup, I had already maxed out my caffeine intake for the day and ordered a hot choccie) but as far as b) goes they are nailing it. The staff are cheerful, carefree and a little bit quirky(nothing worse than a stressed-out barista) — the perfect combo for putting a smile on one’s dial. As for the hot chocolate it was wonderfully rich and just the right temp. I also loved that, except for a coupley seats, all of the bright tables and chairs are outside. Nothing like a bit fresh air in the morning to invigorate the mind. Not too mention they have a couple of morning papers, a great magazine selection and plenty of delightful looking sammies for those who forgot to pack their lunch. If you are in the area and are in need of a pick-me up, I suggest you get here ASAP — guaranteed warm fuzzies.

I popped in here for about half an hour before a hair appointment at Vada. I had some work to do in that time and was desperate for a treat. I didn’t order any coffee, so I’m sorry I can’t comment on that — though the ones I saw coming out looked beautiful. However, the brownie they have is OUTOFTHISWORLD. No jokes. I was hoping for something tasty, but after one forkful, I was actually in heaven. I did not want to stop eating that brownie. I don’t work anywhere near here, so I’m very sad that I can’t have that brownie every day(though I’m sure my waistline is very happy). I will definitely go back and have another brownie while also trying their coffee. The dude behind the counter was lovely, taking my order at the same time as making a coffee for someone else. Excellent multitasking skills, and such a friendly guy. There are some suspect characters hanging around the part of town, but the guys seem to know how to handle it. There’s not much seating — little bit inside and a couple of tables outside. It’s definitely a ‘hole in the wall’ style coffee place. Definitely worth a visit though — I highly recommend.

Great experience, fantastic staff, AMAZING coffee. This new lil’ café makes you feel cooler when you are in it. They have a refreshingly bright, modern and minimal fit out, with fun little nooks to enjoy your coffee in.
