If I told you that I once ate a mouldy cronut here, would you think that I am crazy to give them a 4 star rating? The truth is, I did buy a cronut here one time with a latte, and after I have taken a few bites of it. I realised that it tasted off, lol, so I looked down at what wasn’t consumed yet, and there was this big arse green mould staring back at me. Haha. I took it back to the nice lady behind the counter with my mouth still full of what I bit but not yet chewed. And spat it back out onto the plate in front of her. She was very apologetic, and I do believe her that she didn’t know it was mouldy when she received it from her supplier that morning. She offered the refund promptly, but I instead opted for a replacement. Lol. I was either very stupid or very brave. So aside from that little episode, O bar is my little hide away in the middle of the CBD, they have this nice backyard that you can sip your coffee and enjoy a conversation with friends. The coffee isn’t bad here too. And yes, I did take a photo of the mouldy cronut. But, no, I will not upload it. Hehe

Fans of Harry Potter and other magical claptrap will love this place. Like a very special train platform, it only exists some of the time. By day the doorway just opens to a café, with an unexplained Obar sign hovering overhead, leading you to nowhere. But at night, when the cabinets are empty and the cakes are packed away, you step through to hidden bar that I can only assume gets magically released from an alternate dimension. While primarily a soju bar, Obar also sells beer and plum wine and various other drinks. One of their unique points of difference is that they don’t open your beers for you; rather, they give them to you and hand you a bottle opener to do it yourself. If only more bars assumed this level of dexterity and competence in their patrons…
