The service here is just delightful. Always a smile, always eager to please. Probably to distract from the dodgy happenings that go down in the club out the back after-​hours, but it’s most appreciated by this coffee pedestrian. The coffee itself is not the best in town, but it’s not the worst either. The décor is sweet, and the opening hours are fantastic. If you want to avoid the chain-​horror coffee places then it’s your only option in the Auckland arts quarter at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon.

The friendliest service in town by about a million miles. Good coffee and really tasty food! Definitely recommend it. Just don’t go beyond the curtain at the back of the café… you’ve been warned!

This place is underrated mainly because there’s a MF secret bar out the back that I’m pretty sure is reserved for Triads and Yakuza. But go there on a Saturday and Sunday morning and you can eat your yum, cheap (sometimes stale) bagels with avo and pesto out there and just imagine the crazy deals that go down at night. I’m thinking Infernal Affairs or something. Pretty sure crime gets did there.
