Tiny two table café(inside) and 8 tables outside for lunch. Wonderful assortment of salads, and hot dishes, and too many sweets to look at. Our chicken quiche(pictured) with the side salad with raw beetroot was very good. It was reasonably priced at $ 9.50. The pitcher of tap water served was undrinkable, as it smelled and tasted like dishwater. We ended up buying a small bottle of water at the high price of $ 3.50.

Fresh — well it’s exactly that. If you are after a salad in Warkworth, Fresh is the place to go. They usually have six or so delicious salads in the cabinet; you can mix and match as many as you like. They have a good variety and are pretty inventive; beetroot and mint, quinoa and kumara, Moroccan or Prawn. The smallest size is just $ 6 takeaway, and this is plenty big for lunch. They also have an interesting brunch/lunch menu to dine in; you can sit outside in the courtyard. I love it here; it’s a friendly local café that’s not surprisingly pretty busy come the lunch time rush.
