When you walk into this place, you are immediately flooded with sensory input. There is SO much to look at! And the smell of their famous(Bergen’s best) waffles is mouth watering! They also have a great coffee selection and beer selection, along with super friendly staff. I mean, what more could you ask for? Oh right, they have a DJ that only plays vinyl. And a working jukebox! This place really has everything; It’s a nice place to relax with a coffee and read a book during the day(there’s free wifi too!) or have a beer with your mates in the evening. Or dance to 70’s hits during the weekend. Love it!

Incredibly funky décor and atmosphere — almost as if you’re on a trip back to ‘60s or ‘70s-era San Francisco all the way here in Bergen, of all places — nice staff, and a great place for both locals and visitors to chill out over coffee, beer, or light snacks. Reasonable prices(for Norway) and free wi-fi too! Doesn’t get any simpler or better than that.

Been here a few times, really nice artsy atmosphere, eccentric/hipster-y décor, good coffee, good waffles(though what is with the lack of syrup in Norway?). Good wifi connection, good place for working on laptop or chatting, but not quiet enough if you really need space to focus. Highly recommended!

The décor was a bit TOO quirky for me but they have a solid brown cheese waffle.

GROOVY! (see photos) Wife and I needed to hide from the rain for a while… so why not some day drinking on a Monday afternoon? Nice to see that real locals were chilling here too. Bartender lady was very friendly as well. 73kr for a tasty draft craft beer. Just under $ 10 and normal for Norway.

Very nice atmosphere, great coffee. A bit overpriced, but worth it, if you ask me(especially if comparing to the nearby obnoxious Starbucks alternative). They serve various beverages and quite limited on the food side, so don’t come too hungry.

Went here based on the reviews! Really interesting place very close to the main tourist area but not touristy at all. I had a beer and some waffles both really good. Interesting deco but I really liked it. Really nice mix of people and nice friendly staff :)

Sweet place! We had a couple of nicely done waffles — one sweet one savory and a couple of drinks. Kitschy cool interior(hippie chic +), great music, nice staff — an excellent place to take a load off while walking Bergen/Bryggen.

Want a cool, funky place where you can relax over a coffee or beer/cider and waffle snack while listening to great tunes off of a real jukebox? Search no further. The décor is eye candy for locals and tourists alike, and as it has a bar as well as barista(name says it all) it’s bound to be just as great at night. If you’re in Bergen/Bryggen, don’t miss this off the beaten path hang out.

Great place, fun decorations. Loved the cream cheese and raspberry jam waffle and cappuccino in a rainy day. The perfect stop!

Good mood in a rustic setting. Old chairs and sofas, retro wallpaper in various styles — and take note of the framed paintings mounted to the roof as well as to the walls! A live 3-man band played us some jazz when we were there a regular wednesday.

We made this place into our home away from home. The servers were very friendly and the décor is sooo unique and has soooo much character. They have an outside patio for smokers and sell coffee as well as alcohol. The food was delicious, mainly sandwiches and waffles but they were more than what they sound. Absolutely will refer this place to others visiting in Bergen Norway.

Cute little bar! My Norwegian friend took me here because she said this place had the best Norwegian waffles. She ordered the waffle the brown cheese, which I loved! I ordered the one with Brie, nuts, and syrup. Didn’t like that too much, but if you’re a fan of peanuts, you’ll love it. I ordered it thinking there’d be non-peanut nuts. Also, we ordered some chocolate that they sell at the bar. I got a little bit of everything. My favorite were the tiny little balls filled with coffee and the flat stone-like looking chocolates that held hardened caramel inside. Yum! Also, if you like cognac, the large white chocolate balls are filled with cognac inside. Oh and the almonds covered with chocolate was good too! The«dj» seemed cool, spinning vintage records. Come by after breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anytime you’re craving a waffle! Ps. Bathrooms downstairs are a bit chilly!

My 200th review! Our Norwegian adventure had to include this place. It’s the chandeliers that first got my attention(a sucker for elaborate lighting) but of course it’s the promise of good coffee that got me inside. As it happens, we arrive here for a night cap on a cold October evening and immediately I’m struck by the lovely, laid back atmosphere. I would love something like to this to be in Birmingham but wonder if our drinking culture means the coffee would be over looked come the darker hours in favour of beer and worse, the beautiful interior being ruined by the odd out-of-control drunks! Anyway, the highlight was actually the DJ playing an erratic mix of old rock tunes! The drinks? We had a Blondie(basically a white hot chocolate concoction) and an After Eight Latte. Not normally drinks I would go for in a coffee shop by any stretch of the imagination but we were swept away by the lovely vibes! Only 4 stars because Norway is so crazily pricy!
