Home of the Original Sacher-Torte
Firmengeschichte
Hat 1876 eröffnet.
The Hotel Sacher Wien was opened in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, son of the creator of the Original Sacher-Torte, and soon achieved worldwide renown as a meeting place for the nobility as well as for prominent politicians and artists. Today the Hotel Sacher is a Viennese institution, comparable to St. Stephan’s Cathedral or the Vienna Boys’ Choir. The hotel’s long history can be felt in every room, where modern comfort is ideally combined with the charm of the Habsburg monarchy. Privately run by the families Guertler and Winkler the hotel is located next to the pedestrian zone Kärntner Straße in the heart of the city, directly across the Vienna State Opera and just a short walk away from the elegant Ringstraße, St. Stephan’s Cathedral, and the Hofburg Imperial Palace.
