Wunderbar, herrlich, daß es jetzt Pasteis de Nata bei uns gibt! Erst vor ein paar Wochen habe ich die feinen Puddingtörtchen in Lissabon verkosten dürfen — die Wiener Natas sind sehr gut, wenn sie auch nicht ganz an die allerbesten in LIssabon rankommen (die erste Cola in den USA schmeckte allerdings auch nie wieder so gut wie damals).
Ein kleiner Laden, in dem ständig frische Natas produziert werden, zusammen mit pikant gefüllten Pasteis. Kurz vor Schluß gibt es Spezialpreise — also nichts wie hin zur sehr freundlichen Besatzung von Nata Lisboa!
Tipp: Natas möglichst noch warm mit Zimt genießen!

About three years ago, I told a Portuguese friend in Vienna who was looking for a job that he should open a Portuguese snack place here. He said he didn’t have enough money and that I should do it. I told him I don’t have any money either. So here’s the good news: someone had enough money to finally fill in this gap in the Vienna culinary landscape because Nata Lisboa has hit the scene in Landstrasse.
Now I can finally eat a tasty Pastel de Nata in Vienna! And these Pasteis de Nata. are the real deal. They also have a good selection of empadas — fish, meat, veggie. The usual order is to begin with a savoury empada and then end with an addictive Pastel de Nata.
Now everyone reading this… go out and give this Portuguese pastry and coffee shop a try. Your taste buds will be happy you did!

Small but nice place to enjoy a snack with friends.
The sweet version costs 2 € and the salty one 2,5 €. It’s not bad for this price to eat it occasionally but not really worth it either.
The salty ones are stuffed with different ingredients such as chicken, fish, duck or vegetables. (see the menu below!)
The sweet one: it was quite good, decent size. The crust was like croissant-pie texture, the custard inside was good but something seemed lacking… I felt that it wasn’t only pure egg custard inside… (maybe mixed with some flour?) But this is only my own opinion, other people might like it this way!
All in all: above average, not disappointed but it could have been better!

Wow. Sooooooo good. Nice place with authentic food done well! What more can you ask for. May be a bit pricey, but again, sooooooo good. They have salty and sweet. Tried a couple and wanted more. So yes, there are to go packs!
