The ambience is great for late night. We went when there was a live band. I order coco shrimp– overcook but good flavor. I recommend this place for the coconut martini alone! Great!

I came on a Tuesday and the place had a good amount of people! There was a 2for 1 of several liquors and coronas. Thy had a live duo inside which was pretty awesome. The inside is cozy, the outside has cooling fans, which help bc damn, it got hot. I had a few vodkas, then saw the Chivas and Coconut Water and WHAAAAT I HAVEBEENMISSINGITALLMYLIFE. The bartender guy was super attentive. He gave me his card but alas, I left it when I flew back home. My luck that I got a seat at the bar, and the bartender was always making sure the bar was dry, that napkins were cleared, and that rinks were tended to. Best experience so far, because to be honest, in PR, people aren’t in a hurry to take care of customers,

I actually came here with local I had met. She recommended this place as she’s been here before. Long story short. The service is HORRIBLE as everyone has stated. The food(We both ordered a burger) it took 2 hours to receive our food. The burger itself wasn’t really good I could have cooked a better one on a foreman grill. Apparently the service seemingly everyone has experienced is normal for San Juan. This wasn’t the only place I received terrible service the people that live there say it’s normal and they are use to it.

I came here several nights while on vacation just to check out the scene. I came on a random Tuesday night where they had multiple beer specials and food specials(2 for 1 until midnight). The live music was great and the locals seemed to be having a great time. I came again on a Thursday and then a Friday night. As promised there was live music but the scene was quite different as the crowd seemed to be at a minimum. Didn’t get to try the food as they didn’t offer any late night options when I went on a Friday night.

First bad review I have ever given on Unilocal.Only good thing they had were the coconut mojitos and the nutella mouse dessert. Their ceviche was … I dont even call that ceviche. The peanut butter wings were good. But The food did not sit well with me. There are much better restaurants in PR. Take it from a local. Also, can someone please adopt the kitty that walks around the tables. Didnt bother me but his eyes were killing me and I already have two kitties at home!

A waitress from another restaurant suggested this place, so we decided to check it out. The service was terrible and the food was sub-par. We also had to pay $ 5 to park in their lot. I would most definitely not go back.

We went on a Wednesday night and sat outside. Drinks took a while to come out and our waitress was not the friendliest, which I understand, she was a bit busy! My hubby ordered the poke and received the seared tuna, which he didn’t mind because he really enjoyed it. I had a steak that was too rubbery. I’ve had better steak back home. There was also a little cat under my table that enjoyed small pieces of tuna. Probably wouldn’t return…

Decent mellow bar scene on a Friday night. Ordered piña coladas but they weren’t as creamy as I have had. The churrascarito skewer apps were very good and so were the peanut butter wings. Bacailao fritters were not great. There was live music which was nice.

I have never left a negative review in my life but I need to say something about my experience in this restaurant. I think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Service took forever !!! We called the manager and he cooked the food for our table. Terrible service, don’t waste your time or money in the restaurant.

Service took two hours and literally everything was subpar. Skewers, pizza, spring rolls, «famous wings» all not great.

Good food and drinks even though the wait was long and my food was only warm it was good and will try them again and hopefully my food will be HOT. I had steak and eggs with hash browns and toast with Belgian waffles with mango butter. Again good but I’m sure it would have been great hot. Yeah you should definitely try them!

Solo fui a darme unos tragos y la realidad es que se pasó muy bien. El lugar es cómodo y la terraza esta muy buena con área tipo lounge. Quiero volver para probar sus platos pero definitivamente me gusto.

Went on a Tuesday night as we were looking for a place with live music and a great atmosphere — we found it! Our valet recommended it as most of the San Juan area was dead on this particular Tuesday. 2 for 1 drinks and appetizers didn’t disappoint. We shared a lounge area outdoors with a few locals and had a great time chatting with them and learning about the island. The place was however absolutely packed, which made navigating indoors difficult and dancing impossible, but the bars staff(both indoors and out) kept the drinks coming with no issues. A popular NBA player even stopped by to hang out and have some drinks! A great time all the way around. We’ll be back.

They have a ridic happy hour special here — double quantity appts and certain drinks all night long, no limit either. So pretty much BOGO. The appetizers they have are really good, and since you’re getting double the quality, they easily become full-on meals. This place is great if you can get in before the crowd does, and I think it’s a little better to be sitting outside, even though there’s AC inside. The atmosphere is pretty fun and relaxing. I feel like they’re trying to be a classier place, but what type of classy place offers 2 drinks for the price of one? We didn’t order any entrees, but the appetizers were delicious. The wings aren’t your typical batch-deep-fried wings you get at any bar. Dare I say«gourmet» wings? They had this mango salsa that was spicy and sweet, and they had this dry-rub on it that tasted just as good on their own. We got this shrimp appt too that reminded me of bang-bang shrimp from BoneFish — although this one wasn’t mayo based, which I liked more. We got an off appetizer menu gnocchi which was very cheesy and great. We also got this poke tuna on rice, which was barely mediocre. I would have been satisfied without it, or subbing it out for more gnocchi or shrimp. Service is super slow though, and I’m not sure if it was because we didn’t order any drinks. Our waiter barely came to our table, and didn’t give us our waters until our food was ready. To be fair, it was a busy night, but I remember my drink-refilling game was on point when I was a waiter back in the day.

I am not one of give too many bad reviews. Would’ve given it 1 star but the coffee is really good. The place is not at all what it used to. It looks deteriorated and on it’s way to abandonment. The food was not good at all and the service was extremely slow. My hubby ordered the A Caballo Steak & Eggs cooked medium and they gave him a well done, chewey skirt steak. The potatoes were very cold. I ordered a Burro and instead of ground meat like the menu says it has, it looked like they took a pre-made burger from the refrigerator and re-heated it on a pan, then shred it and put it on the burrito. My plate was very cold too. It was pretty bad. For a dessert we ordered some French toasts. That was the worst part since they were staled and tasted very old. The sides were hard like when bread goes bad. I’m sorry Mango’s. You used to be one of our favorite places for brunch last year but the owner apparently doesn’t love the place anymore and it’s letting it die a slow death.

So went to this place recommended by a family friend because of its atmosphere. They are right. This place is great. Went on a Saturday night for dinner visiting from miami. While they had the inside super busy because of a birthday celebrate the outside had space. We sat at the bar and it was perfect. The bartender was a sweetheart recommended the passion fruit sangria. Wow yummy. Ordered the calamari, churrasco skewers and mini pionono. Shared it with a friend and so filling. Their appetizers are amazing to turn your meal into a tapa style. Service was great and at your pace. She was always attentive and paid attention to us. Later in the night around 9 it gets pretty packed but she was still focusing on everyone and what they wanted. Must come to this place if you want a good atmosphere and where the locals go.

Very DISAPPOINTED. The service by FRANCIS(Curly hair waitress) was horrible. We had a group of 9 and she didn’t bother to explain the special for Tuesday. appetizers took 20−25min and another 20 – 25 min for the main entrée. She gave a lot of attitude. Unnecessary & had the nerve to ask for her full tip which she did not deserve. The food is good the several times I visit with friends and family but cancels out when the vibe gets ruined by bad service.

Came again 5 months later. Wasn’t a lot of people but looks like everyone had a groupon except me. Ordered a drink and an appetizer. 25 minutes later drink arrives. 45min later appetizer arrives without any plates napkins or silver wear. I wanted to order dinner but waitress never stayed long enough for my vocal cords to begin making sounds that turned into words. Never got to order as we waited another 10minutes to flag our waitress down and tell her that I no longer was interested in eating. They comped the drinks and we left! Nightmare hour that I cannot get back from my vacation! Avoid this place!!! Sad but the groupon special was more important than customers with cash! Never coming back! PS I gave this place great reviews my first time here!

I eat at Mango’s a lot because it is so close to my house… everything is great! The atmosphere is super friendly, you can even bring your animal friends to sit out side with you. They have plenty of outside seating(covered), and decent inside seating. My favorite drink is the coconut mojito. It has great flavor, and can be addicting;). Today we had: Appetizer: Cod Nuggets with Mango sauce. The nuggets were a generous size, and there were six total. Full of flavor, and a great texture. Meals: cheese pizza, shrimp pizza, dorado, and the chicken. The pizzas were very good, but nothing to write home about. The dorado was amazing. It had a soft mofongo stuffing and was covered Ina tamarind sauce, so tasty!!! The chicken plate was HUGE! Like 2 people could share it and have trouble walking out! The rice and beans are a great compliment to any dish, and so is the spicy cabbage slaw. Drink: parcha sangria(passion fruit). This is a light, refreshing, substitute for any wine. It was garnished with bits of citrus fruits and was really sweet.

5 of us on a girls trip… we stopped twice on the same day for cold beers with a fun bartender(Vanessa?) We were going back to actually eat another night and found happy hour and half price appitizers that were crazy good, vodoo wings, pineapple/coconut shrimp, beef skewers and one other thing, idk. We drank and had another round of apps. When the bill came there was obviouviously a loss in translation, 140 $…they automatically doulbled the orders and charged full price. We had met a nice man from Boston during our first beer break earlier in the week and he helped us get a discount on our bill and explain our confusion. Sadly we never had a real meal to rave about but we did stop again for shots on my SIL’s bday. This was a fun spot close to the apartment/condo we rented and we would go back.

I dined here with 6 other gal pals as part of a bachelorette lunch. Mango’s was one of many Unilocal-inspired stops for food during our getaway in Puerto Rico. If you’re anywhere near Condado, Ocean Park, San Juan, or Santurce, I think Mango’s is worth the stop for a great and inexpensive brunch or lunch! Plus, they have their own parking lot, which is a plus along the area’s super-crowded streets. We were happy to discover on weekends, from 9 until 3, that you can order from either their brunch menu(serving standards such as benedict, French toast, steak & eggs, etc.) or from their lunch menu, which included all of the magical Puerto Rican dishes you’d expect, with a modern, contemporary flare. To top it all off, the service we received was wonderful! Although there weren’t any patio seats available for a party of 7, we were happy to have our own big table in the air-conditioned interior, right among the hustle and bustle of the bar. The pitcher of red sangria we ordered slaked the thirst of all 6 who had their glasses filled, and my Bloody Mary-loving friends were happy with their drinks as well. Prices were reasonable on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. As for food, Mango’s remains in my mind as one of my favorite meals of the entire trip. My order consisted of the Tostones appetizer, which was comprised of a sharable portion of pounded and perfectly fried plantains with a delicious dipping sauce, and my entrée was the Tuna Poki, a beautifully-presented tower of tuna tartare atop avocado and a healthy portion of crispy rice. My fellow diners raved and raved about their food, from the gnocchi(we ordered more because it was so good) to the steak and eggs(from one of the pickiest gals of the group), to the French toast, and OMG — the chicken wings! Never before have I had such meaty, juicy wings! Margarita Pizza was a huge hit as was the grilled chicken sandwich. When I’m back in PR someday, I’ll be back to Mango’s, for sure!
