The previous review was regarding brunch, which I haven’t yet tried. This review is regarding my recent lunch here. The restaurant only takes reservations during the week, and as this is a small place, I would definitely recommend calling in advance to save a seat. There are mostly two person tables that could be put together to accommodate larger groups. You walk through the kitchen back to the seating area. The seating area is very homey, and cosy. I felt as if I was in my friend’s house having a bite to eat. The lunch menu is heavily oriented towards large salads, and a few other options. My friend chose the Lasagna, and I selected the suggestion of the day — the Omelet, both of which came with a small mixed salad. The portions are quite large, and couldn’t complete it all. I had a bite of my friend’s lasagna and everything was made fresh and tasted good. My favourite though of the meal was the salad. I will definitely check out one of their salads next time. We each also tried one of their desserts, my friend the chocolate molleux and I the apple cobbler, both of which were amazing. They also have a large selection of teas here highlighted on a separate menu, and the loose leaf tea was very good. I saw people coming in after lunch time just to have a tea and dessert. The service was friendly and our food was served very soon after ordering. During the warmer months there is a lovely outdoor terrace for seating. I have already made plans with my friend to return when it is warmer.
