So this rating is related to other burger places in Europe in general. My first time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised. Price for meal with drink and Frites around 20CHF. High by USA standards but we are talking Geneva, so not bad. Burger was done completely through, quite a feat for this area based on previous tries. Fries were hot and crispy, something hard to get with larger fries… So good Setting is very casual but adequate. You pay up front and they bring to table. Will be on my regular schedule for my next trip to Geneva.

Strategic location being right opposite Geneva train station and so we were able to have a relaxed meal till it was time for our train. I have to admit, I found the name funny and it made me a little sceptic of what to expect but their burgers proved to be extremely delicious and fresh. The bun was fluffy and soft. the burger itself was bigger than average and it came with a side of extremely chunky fries which were cooked well and not at all oily/greasy in a nicely presented basket. My only complaint was that it took time for the burgers to arrive, but the upside was that they arrived freshly made and warm.

Among the top burger places in Geneva. And everything is Swiss made/grown. Good value student deals too.

Toujours de délicieux burgers. C’est un fast food. On commande à la caisse. On va se poser à une table… et on nous ammèné notre plat. Les produits servis sont(quasiment) tous d’origine suisse. Les sirops sont à volonté et délicieux. Bref… A recommander pour un bon moment!

Here is a spot for a decent burger. The fries are really good and there is a whole variety of burgers to choose from. Some are more eclectic than others but overall it seems to work.

I can’t believe I found a burger joint so close to where I stay when I’m in Geneva! Well, the place is called Holy Cow, and it’s attributed to all things beef. But to my surprise, they did have a vegetarian burger. It takes a bit longer to make it, given the rarity of the order I guess. But it’s such a delight to eat! I had the veggie zest, which also has an apple and mango sauce. Very unusual from the burgers in Paris, and very tasty! It might not be as fashionable as the burgers in Paris(yes, you read that right), but it gets the job done. The buns are good, but the ice tea could be better. It’s pretty large, and almost always has teens hanging around. No sodas like Coke and Pepsi, instead bottled juices, iced tea made by the place itself, and the like. A burger with fries and a drink costs about 22 Swiss Francs. Not cheap, but definitely worth it! And it’s just across the train station, so like me, you can have a burger takeaway before catching your train. Holy Cow, you have a customer for life now!

A very good hamburger and fries! The ambient is pretty cool and the service just fine and it’s not so expensive.

Still the best fries ever. Sad that the veggie patty is so soft, since the bread is not toasted I’d like some crispy somewhere… Will continue to go however, because OMGTHOSEFRIES. And all you can eat sauces. Yumyumyum

Hands down the best vegetarian burger I have ever had. I had the veggie zest burger and to this day, I still dream of it! Wish canada had such good burgers!

Amazing!!! This was the best meal I had in Switzerland! It was so good. I had the burger with the pineapple and mint sauce. Sounds strange but it was so good. I find beef in other countries outside of the USA tastes better anyway. The fries are the best part! They were So perfectly crispy and soft in the middle! I really enjoyed my meal and it’s right across from the train station so it’s easy to get to! Definitely try this place!

The storefront promises ‘gourmet burger bar’ and the menu certainly is extensive, but these burgers are a huge disappointment, particularly considering the price you’re paying(although it is Geneva so that’s a moot point). They are large but quantity us not quality. The meat is dry and the bread tasteless. Pretty standard lettuce and sauce, with disappointing other dressings depending on what you order. On top of all this, the ambience makes me feel like I’m in a McDonald’s from 1993. Ať least the fries are good and there’s unlimited sauce. Average burgers aren’t just average, they make me sad.

If I could give a 6th star, I would do it without hesitation. This is the best burger in town, if not in all of Europe. Great for American expats

This is my first place to try a «Genevan» burger. I got the Bacon Avocado Beef which is a decent size that came with side of fries. Having lived in the US before, I’ve tried a lot of great burgers. In comparison to them, this wasn’t the best but also not the worst I’ve had. The burger meat could use more spices to really enhance the flavor and it was a bit too dry. Although I wouldn’t mind coming back for their other burgers on the menu as they have quite a selection.

Gourmet burgers? Wishful thinking is more like it. The burgers have this aftertaste that is unpleasant. I don’t know if it has seeming to do with the sauce or the way the patty is cooked but it is very unfortunate because, otherwise it could have been a nice experience.

It’s definitely better than burger chains like McDo and Burger King style, it’s good but nothing more than that. Inglewood, RoadRunner and Blaqk are definitely better places than Holy Cow, maybe if those 3 places didn’t exist, Holy Cow would be my favorite, but those made the standards very high for Geneva! The beer there is really good though!

Now I can say I’ve tried Holy Cow! but I think I’ll stick to Inglewood in the future. I didn’t get a burger but the chicken sandwich I ordered was good but not for 13 francs. The bun was too large for the amount of meat and there weren’t enough toppings since they«sold» you on the toppings. I will say that the fries were good and the service was pretty fast.

Definitely a step or two up from McDonalds, but not a really great burger. Nevertheless, it could still be the best in Geneva.

I have heard alot about Holy Cow and now that they have a convenient new location right outside the Geneva train station, I had to stop for lunch. There are two other locations in Lausanne, and a 2nd location in Geneva(Rue de carouge 14). First, I have to note that it is difficult to find a good burger(especially Chicken or veggie burger) in Switzerland. I like that this place unlike McDonalds utilises all fresh local products and takes the time to cook your order vs. utilising a heat lamp to keep your food warm. There are MANY different flavors of burger to choose from — which can be overwhelming upon first entering. The décor is whimsical and light hearted, I love the cartoon cow drawings everywhere(definitely check out the website!). Upon first entering you wait in line, give your order, and then take your number to a table and wait for your food to be delivered. You can also take away if you desire too. Behind the register is a table that you can utilise to grab some pre packaged mustard, or pump some ketchup for yourself. There are also great biodegradable knives here that you can use to cut your burger into bite size pieces. If you stay the seating area is not large enough for the amount of people that are looking for a spot. The volume is also quiet loud. There are a couple of seats outside if it is a nice day, but the volume doesn’t decrease. The food was delivered warm and fresh. The pommes frites(fries) were good and so was the burger. However, the bun was nothing special(Rando burger still has my favourite buns). I loved the flavor of the Camembert & Cranberry Chicken burger. I definitely want to try some of their other unique selections. If you read my Rando burger review, you are probably wondering why I would rate this one star less? The food was comparably good, but the atmosphere and ambiance decreased the rating for me. I happen to like a more intimate and quieter setting. This place while whimsical was loud and lacking that extra friendly touch. I liked that at Rando burger I could speak with the owners, and watch my burger getting made. I was missing the cosy friendly atmosphere here.

Considering the«buzz», this place is suprizingly poor! The bun is mostly air and each slice twice a thick as the beef patty meaning a 4 to 1 ratio bread to beef! The beef patty itself was not particularly high quality and felt a bit«lumpy» to me. I took the Yo Ginza(teriyaki sauce and ginger) burger but I could make a better teriyaki sauce myself and the ginger must have simply been rubbed on the burger because I could hardly taste it and definitely couldn’t see it. This all came at the princely sum of Fr 14.95 — WOW are you kidding me??? I ate only half and then left to find some delicious sushi just up the street.

I truly enjoyed my burger and I must say its the best burger I have tasted in Switzerland yet. It was juicy and had flavor unlike the dry and crumbly hockey pucks I have tasted and paid 30CHF for. The menu is very creative, loads of cute names. I ate the Elvis blue. which was blue cheese and bacon, fantastic. The burger itself is a nice size, the bun is huge and the french fires are perfect, not the thin crispy frites you get around here… these were thick cut, freshly cut American french fries! perfectly salted and the perfect crunch on the outside yet creamy potato on the inside. It was about 20CHF for the«menu» which is the meal, burger, fries and a drink. I will be back there for sure. The staff, super friendly… The girl who took our order was telling me how she is trying to limit herself to one burger per week but they are so good that its been three days this week and shes eaten three burgers. We sat outside since it was a bit hot inside, but the place was clean, people friendly and there was fast service. I ordered, got my ketchup, Heinz of course, only the best, and I was walking to my table and my number was being called already. They bring the food right to you. If you are craving a burger, this is an American quality burger. If the place had air conditioning I would have given it 5 stars. I wish restaurants in Switzerland would get it that we want to eat in comfort and not sweat.
