Hôtel Kipling Manotel

Pretty good hotel.
ROOMS
The rooms are a good size and have an understated elegance. The beds were pretty comfortable and cushy. The nice touch is the piece of Swiss chocolate on the beds. Our particular room had a small minibar area where you could utilize a mini-​refrigerator and brew coffee and tea from Keurig cups. It had its own sink too.
One oddity is there there is a single toilet near the entrance without a sink. Then you’ve got the bathroom on the other side of the room which is complete with sink and shower. So while its great to have multiple toilets, you still need to walk over to wash your hands.
SERVICE
The concierge will provide you with a transportation pass for a small charge if you need one and that will allow you to take all public transportation. Additionally, they’ll map out places to check out in Geneva including some restaurants that are part of the Manotel chain. At each of those restaurants you get a coupon for 15% off per person in your room and one place we actually remembered to use the coupon was at Restaurant Edelweiss nearby.
BONUS
Complimentary fresh squeezed OJ is available in the lobby and it was amazing. Like Paris level good but that makes sense as Geneva is considered the French part of Switzerland. Wow, I must’ve had four of five glasses.
LOCATION
The location is also mere minutes away from the train station so that is always good but it is right smack dab in the center of a more commercial area. No complaints here and I felt this was a good, comfortable stay at a fair price.

Das Kipling ist ein sehr nettes, kleines Hotel mit viel Charme. Erst noch sehr zentral gelegen, ist es zu Fuss vom Bahnhof in unter 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Das bedeutet auch dass der See max. 5 Minuten entfernt ist. Trotz der zentralen Lage hatten wir keine Probleme was Lärm betrifft.
Beim Betreten des Hotels fühlt man sich zuerst ein bisschen wie in einem asiatischen Spa. Angenehmer Duft und die ganze Dekoration und Möblierung erinnert an eine Insel fernab und liess bei mir aus irgendwelchen Gründen ein wenig Schatzsucher Feeling aufkommen.
Die Preise sind sehr unterschiedlich. Wir haben hier für CHF 140.- übernachtet. Als ich wenig später wieder in diesem Hotel buchen wollte, war ein Zimmer CHF 240.-

Great hotel and service. I would give it 5 stars but for the location (which is good but could be better). I would definitely go back

This is my favorite hotel in Geneva. It’s small, but very comfortable. The staff is really helpful. The rooms are like you might have at home, and so it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a hotel. If you travel as often as I do, this is a huge bonus.
