Un des tout premiers pub de Genève. Ambiance garantie.

They have the most delicious quinoa black bean veggie burger patty! We went there on a Saturday night and it wasnt packed. They also have cider and mouth watering fries. What a great find for us vegetarians!

Les burgers sont pas mal, c’est sympa l’ambiance de ce bar, surtout les soirs où il y a des groupes de musique

Nicest traditional pub in Geneva. Don’t agree with the neg reviews. It’s a great sports bar, a place to go for a beer and hang out. Of course, if you come smack in the middle of a game night you may need to actively get yourself to the counter to get a beer. Nice to be able to get a decent burger in the middle of the afternoon Saturdays or Sundays. The one gripe I do have is that they used to have the best lamb curry, but they changed recipe(or cook) and shrunk the portion, so I don’t go there as much to eat.

Watch American football Sunday night. Good service. One of the only places to offer an IPA. They were out when I went. Pay attention to your service # to get your food on time. Dont pay with American Express. $ 100 minimum.

I’ve never eaten here, but it’s a great pub to visit if you’re missing that type of atmosphere while in Geneva. It’s lovely in nice weather as you can stand outside with your drink(or sit on the patio). At butini tram station.

God knows how this pub makes any return custom, this place has some of the worse atmosphere and food known to man. Lets begin with the food shall we? The food here has made me ill on more than one occasion and for the price you expect it to come out on a golden plate. I’ve tried the burger right through to the salad and every time I have been keeled over the toilet the next morning. I mentioned it to one of the staid who I got along well with and she said it wasn’t the first time she had heard about people getting ill and she doubts it would be the last Then, lets talk about the price of beer, which along with Lady Godivas is one of the most expensive places to drink in Geneva. You usually get a load of jumped up business men and UN workers who make the atmosphere unbearable. Them, along with the staff(most of which are being employed illegally(from the mouth of a former employee)) help to create one of the most damn right depressing bars in Geneva. On the positive side, this is a TV heaven. They have more TV’s than you can count and they show as much sport as they can… unless there is nothing on and then you get Eastenders on the TV. Trust me, the«Queen Vic» has more going on in it than this place. My final thought? Avoid at all costs.

I once made a failed attempt at a homemade burger. The first reason for my failure was that I was too greedy. Instead of relying on the unadulterated flavor of good meat, I tried to spice up my patty with minced garlic and onions, seasoned breadcrumbs, various spices, and egg yolk to hold it all together. The fatal blow was when I miscalculated the heat settings, and completely undercooked the burger. My poor boyfriend, the guinea pig of my experiment, noted that the burger wasn’t bad, it just didn’t really taste like a burger. It was more like… a pâté. The reason I relay this story is because when I bit into my Pickwick’s burger, I experienced deja vous. Then I understood why the server had been so reluctant to cook our burgers medium, but insisted that they only cook their burgers well-done. We had persisted in our demand, and what we got was an over-spiced, under-cooked burger that tasted more like the mid-cooked version of a meat-loaf. On top of the salty and runny burger, the half-toasted bun was like a sponge that had absorbed the oil from everything around it, and I had to lop off the top bun and eat my burger with a knife an fork to stop the seepage of oil every time I tightened my grasp on the burger for a bite. It wasn’t that the burger was terrible. Some members of our group quite liked the flavor. But if you’re a burger purist that believes in a good old hunk of pink-centered beef, I’d skip the burger and stick to Pickwick’s addictive nachos with salsa and guacamole.

After going for a nice stroll around the botanical gardens, we needed a hot beverage to warm ourselves. We parked not too far away and walked to Mr. Pickwick Pub. There seemed to be a good handful of people there enjoying their libations. Plenty of seating near the bar and the back. Apparently there’s a downstairs area for more seating, but we didn’t get a chance to take a look. We settled on hot tea as the selection for warm drinks weren’t too interesting. They had a bunch of beer on tap. There were multiple screens for sports and other interesting content. There was one screen which was showing a dart match. I’ve never seen people playing darts so seriously in my life, but it was engaging nonetheless(but you’re talking to someone who watched bowling when they were a kid…). Overall good loungey atmosphere. It looked like many of the folks there spoke English and from what the Myke H. has stated that’s their preferred language. Probably good for the tourist and those who like beer.

4 Star based on previous experience, may jump to 5 stars on Sunday(fingers crossed for American Football). This place was busy. We stopped by here for dinner based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Arrived around 7pm and was able to find a table topside. Club Sandwich was phenomenal(Americans brace yourself, it includes egg, why didn’t we think of that), and the beer was cold, can’t ask for much more. Downstairs looks like a place that goes off with additional bars. Fill with tall tables, i hear they have a Trivia night. We played a few rounds of darts and called it a night. English is the preferred language in this establishment. All-in-all a nice little place

I would not recommend this pub other than for an occasional sporting event as its a bit dark and grim inside. It does have the benefit of its multiple screens. Not my first choice.

Lady Godiva and The Club House have surpassed this place. Service is patchy and food average. Needs fresh management.
