We ate at the restaurant because of a deal we got with admission to Mount Pilatus to get a Cheese Fondue lunch with salad. At a 32CHD value per person, it was quite worth it, however I wasn’t too impressed with the service or price of food here. The salad was tasty, but the big pot of fondue just came with bread(you could ask for more). I’m not an expert on the swiss customs, but I thought you would get like small pickles, onions or vegges with the fondue as well. After we were done, I suggested we get more bread, and the entire time we were trying to get the attention of the wait staff(nor did they come over to check on us). About 20 mins after we were done, she came over and put a white pepper grinder on the table, which I noticed everyone else had, and meant to be eaten with the cheese. I was annoyed, and tried harder to get more bread so I can properly experience the meal. So many times, they would walk by or close by, without looking at other tables or catching anyone’s eye. We were there for 2.30 hours! We also got an Apple Strudel for dessert for 10CHF but didn’t seem any much better than the one in the cafeteria upstairs, except for presentation. I don’t know if it was worth the money if you were paying full price for the Fondue. Great views though up at the Hotel.
