Just above the city of Sierre, we found St-Michel to be opened for walk-ins during their busy time of Harvest. Kevin, our host, was patient and generous with his pour as we tasted from they whites to the reds. The tasting was free assuming your buying a bottle or two! They had a small tasting room behind their VATS and all the comfort of a small cabin. Love it! We were able to taste any of the wines on their menu and it was really refreshing. Switzerland’s wines are more known for their whites and you really can’t go wrong. There’s a clear sign near their driveway and a small parking lot if you’re in coming by car. If you’re in the area, give Cave St-Michel a whirl and pick up a bottle since it’s rare that any of the producers export out of Switzerland. You won’t be disappointed, till next time, cheers!
