Hotel Europe

My favorite hotel with superb kitchen, hosts which know what true hospitality means, a beatifull wellness and nicely located in the center of Zermatt. Next year hoping to stay there again if not earlier im Summer.

Tucked away off the high street, this is a wonderful family owned boutique hotel. The owner is a shepherd by trade so there is a very aesthetically pleasing sheep theme. My husband and I were traveling with our 7 and 9 year olds so we needed a room to accommodate us. The owner approved a room with a king bed and a pull out for the children. the room was very nice with a deck. The bathroom is nicely designed and the bath tub is wonderful. Breakfast was included and was an assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, fruits. They had a cook your own eggs section. I am sure the restaurant is great though we wanted to be out and about in Zermatt and be a bit more casual. The owner is omnipresent and very friendly and his staff is great. As with all hotels in Zermatt, Hotel Europe, has an electric car which they will use to take you to and from the train station (it’s a 10 minute walk.) We thought it was a great hotel and a good value for our family of four.
