Die Atmosphäre ist sehr luftig, nicht überladen, schlicht und trotzdem fein, weiss gedeckt. Für meinen Geschmack gut für einen stressfreien Lunch.
Die Lage am Zürisee ist speziell im Sommer sehr schön.
Die Menu Auswahl ist ok, und bietet etwa 20 verschiedene Gerichte. Mit einem Fokus auf frisch und simple.
Leider hatte ich nicht das bestellte Entrecôte Café de Paris erhalten, sondern ein Entrecôte mit Kräuterbutter. Nach etwas Verwirrung und einer Entschuldigung hatte ich natürlich nicht mehr gewechselt, ich hatte ja schliesslich Hunger. Sowas kann vorkommen. Das Fleisch war gut und zart und auch die anderen Speisen waren in Ordnung.
Alles in Allem ein ok Restaurant, es hat mich nicht extrem überwältigt, aber ich würde durchaus auch wieder hingehen.

This is a rather fancy restaurant/​café. At daytime it’s perfect for lounging around with a latte and enjoying the panoramic view towards lake zurich, and in the evening its great for dinner or even a little get together with friends.
The cuisine is all about fresh and simple. But let me tell you — their idea of simple is gooood. I had the baby lettuce salad with bacon on top of it, and it was absolutely delicious. I think the combination of the ingredients make their food really special. I also had a ‘white wine soup’ which was very creamy with little fish nuggets (?). The soup sadly looked really plain but was full of aroma. My mom had the ‘pici pasta’ with baby artichokes etc, i tried and it was absolutely delicious.
It indeed is pricey — but welcome to zurich where food is the price it is… At least you get high quality food at brasserie kongresshaus, it’s well worth the price.
If you’re about to visit a big concert in the tonhalle and want to eat something before the concert, come too early — about 2 hours before concert if you don’t want to have to rush afterwards. There will be a lot of people also wanting to enjoy a meal before a popular concert.
