Café Bombay is one of my favorite bars in all of town. They have a little bit of everything from liquors, to teas to desserts, they have it all. I usually get a couple beers and gin tonic water. I’m really open to try out other things though. But what café Bombay is popular for, is its hookah. A lot of bars now have hookah but for a while Bombay was one of the places to have hookah, and they were the best at making it. One huge compliant I have with this establishment, is that they have a stupid rule were you have to be 25 in order to get a hookah. Like really? Drinking and smoking age is 18 but to smoke there you have to be 25… A few months ago I went with a friend and we ordered a hookah and they ID us even though I was 19 and my friend was 20. They told us we could not smoke so we simply left. However, this has not happened in a while. I usually go with a younger group of friends and ironically they don’t ID for the hookah. My friend who is 18 always orders it because she looks the oldest and they never tuned us down. Rumor has it is that one American got in trouble for some reason with Bombay over the hookah so they changed the smoking age limit. Non the less I think it is very stupid. Another complaint I have about this bar is that because it is so poplar, it is almost always busy. My friends and I try to get here Easley do we can have good seating a good half hour before the huge crowd arrives. So if you plan to come down to Bombay try to head there around 10:30 — 11:00. Other than that the staff is attentive if it is not packed. I know I complaint a lot about this place but you should certainly try it if it is not so busy.

A popular place in Rota to sit back and relax and enjoy some hookah. I was with a big group and was one of the DD for the night, so I cannot vouch for the drinks. Everyone in the party liked the sangria. I didn’t try the hookah either but it smelled so delicious. They offer a lot of mixed drinks, shots and teas as well as dessert. The staff that helped us out were attentive even though it was very busy. The place is fairly big and clean. There is street or underground parking.

Close to most of the bars in town, this place offers good liquor at a decent price. This place offers hookah as well. You can tell the establishment is well kept and clean. Only negative is the place closed at midnight during the week.
