We happened to walk by this place and a peek in(to see the cozy décor) sealed the deal. Let me caveat this by saying, we did not expect to be transported to Italy — we were craving some classic Italian food after a morning of site seeing. The waitress was outgoing and friendly — the best service we’ve had since arriving in Prague(we were starting to wonder if service with a smile existed in Prague –it does here!). The food was delicious and exactly what we were looking for. Here’s what we had: Pappardelle alla bolognese — savory meat sauce in my favorite paper thin noodles Penne amatraciano — bold flavors with a kick of spice from the thai chili peppers 5 stars for the price, service, and quality

This place was awful. Tacky. Touristy. Fake. My pasta was not al dente, just raw. Someone else received giant chunks of sausage on her plate. The gnocchi was absolutely swimming in cheese like American mac and cheese. Couldn’t find much seafood in the risotto, and the prawns were pretty gross and overcooked. The Sommelier poured one bottle of wine very fancy, and the other was served by a regular waiter. Strange. And the bill was horrific! The night before we spent half as much and ordered more. Don’t go unless you’re too stupid to find your way out of Prag 1. The people recommending this place as «real Italy» probably ate at chain restaurants on their Italy trips.

The food was good the wine was excellent, and the service too was excellent. The prices were fair, the dessert, which was a raspberry crostata was very good.

I’ll try to keep this short. What I ordered: Spaghetti aglio e olio. What I received: Thick, white egg noodles drowning in butter, with thick chunks of old-tasting garlic. I’ve been to Florence, Rome, Venice, and all over Tuscany, and that is NOT what a plate of of pasta should look or taste like. That plate of pasta was an insult to all who love Italian Food. Waiter was rude, too. Never again.

We enjoyed Aldente from the moment we walked until we finished our Meas and left. THEFOODWASDELICIOUS. MY My wife’s salad was fresh, had a nice variety of ingredients and very lightly dressed. still crisp. I ordered scallops expertly cooked with wine and herbs We both ordered pork chops which arrived hot off the grill well seasoned and covered in fresh mushrooms. The waitstaff was attentive, but not at all I intrusive, The price was very reasonable given the level of service and quality of food. Treat yourself when you are in Prague.

Solid Italian meal with good service. We actually sat next to a family visiting from Italy, who seemed very pleased with their meals. I had gnocchi and my husband had the bolognese. Both were good. The chocolate cake was also a nice way to cap off the meal. Recommend for when you need an alternative to Czech food.

Never been to an Italian restaurant as bad as this one. Absolutely tasteless! The grilled salmon is OK, but the pasta and the viel steak are the worst ever. I didn’t leave a tip for a 1st time since ages!

I was on vacation in Prague and after eating the more traditional Czech cuisine for several meals, I began craving something different. Maybe it was all the Italian tourists I happened to see when I was walking around, but I decided to scope out an Italian restaurant. Aldente definitely did not disappoint! Since my friend and I didn’t have reservations, we were seated in the downstairs area, which was very quiet and quaint, though a little dark. My meal here is probably one of the best Italian meals I have ever had anywhere! I had the spaghetti alla chitarra with guanciale. The homemade pasta tasted incredibly fresh and had a lovely texture. I also very much enjoyed the tiramisu, which was perfectly soft and moist and not too alcohol-laden. The staff was friendly, and communication in English was not at all a problem. I definitely recommend trying this place out!

After living in Prague for over a month this is by far the best meal I’ve had. Great environment, amazing staff with great english, and awesome food. With the help of the staff we had wine, appetizer, the nightly special and dessert and they were all great. The prices were great for the quality as well!

Wow! I am not sure why this place wasn’t packed. The prices were great, the food was phenomenal, the service was good and the small touches of how things were served and plated made it a wonderful experience. I will be dreaming of this meal for some time to come. The lasagna was supreme, melting in my mouth with every bite. And the tiramisu for dessert was light and flavorful, begging for every bite to be savored. YUM! Go. Now.

This place is sometimes just amazing and sometimes I feel its just ok. I like to come here in the summer when the weather is nice and you can be watching the people passing by. Then, it really feels like Italy

Wonderful Italian food in Prague at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere outside on the sidewalk. Excellent service as well. Ordered 3 pasta dishes, all homemade and beautifully prepared. This is coming from San Francisco foodies. The gelateria next door Aldolce is owned by the same people and offers the incredible gelato. Best pistachio I’ve ever had, easily. That includes travel throughout Europe and Italy. Excellent service, too. So good we went back! Can’t recommend either restaurant highly enough!

Best Italian food I had ever. I’ve been all over Italy and to many fine Italian restaurants in the states but this one has beaten them all. Fantastic octopus appetizer followed by a great linguini and clams. Tons of flavor and they even make their own delicious pasta. Wine list is expansive but may definitely on the high priced side. Even though I didn’t have any, I hear the tiramisu is killer. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. They spoke English very well. I would 100% go back.

I enjoyed my pasta here, fettucini with porcini mushrooms. I also had the green salad which I thought was just OK, and actually had a fair number of brown lettuce. In general, the service was friendly and warm, but the waiter who took our order was annoying. He tried to talk us out of the wine we ordered, and practically begged us, loudly, to get dessert. «Not even limoncello?! Grappa?!» Everyone was staring and it was kind of uncomfortable. The other waitress and maitre d were very nice, and the atmosphere was very charming, so I would go back.

Accidentally we came across this little jewel «Aldente». We had a reservation next door ‚ But didn’t like the mostly bar ambience and Stumbled across Aldente. Being from NY and San Francisco, we had experienced Quite a few good Italian restaurants. This Was phenomenal… from the humble mixed green and tomato salad to divine Freshly sliced prosciutto and incredible Pasta main courses… We were amazed And would eat here on a weekly basis Except for the distance. An unexpected Bonus was the waitress and maître de. Unbelievably gracious and warm… Plus, the food and wine prices are more Than fair.
