Kogo is a relatively upscale dining experience complete with modern décor and a fantastic wine/champagne menu. This place is a great spot to entertain clients have a nice sit down quiet dinner. The cuisine is actually pretty good too, especially the steak. The steak was cooked to perfection and served with a health portion of potatoes that were nicely seasoned. The major downside of this pace was the chicken Caesar salad and just the overall service. The salad itself was boarder line terrible complete with average tasting lettuce and horrendous chicken, literally tasted like cold chicken nuggets. The service was also daily slow and we found ourselves continually pouring our own wine, etc… Not cool. Overall, go for the steak but skip the starter salads. Kogo is an elegant Italian restaurant right in the city centre. In the summer their courtyard is perfect for enjoying some wine or a nice dinner. They serve a lot of sea food and typical Italian dishes. I have to say that considering the prices the food was just ok; it was good but did not meet high expectations. I would go there again for the nice atmosphere though.

Good Italian food, I took the risotto a la pescatore and another time, the St Pietro fish, it was good. Only one negative thing, I think the service and the waiters are bad(didn’t get any bread, gave us a little bottle of sparkling water instead of a big one. No non smoking area.) Anyway, I could come back only for the food, but as I said, I believe the service and the waiters are mediocre.

Dining Date May 18, 2015 for dinner. Great outdoor seating area with plenty of shade and cover. Home made pasta is delicious. The pasta veal ragout was outstanding. Overall a very good meal with terrific atmosphere. Service was top notch as well.

very good food, meat(fiorentina steak, lamb etc), fish(branzino/seabass etc) or any of the soups or pastas… I think the success is that the owner is always present and cooks himself. anything you chose here it won’t disappoint. it’s a little pricey for Prague but that should not be a problem for getting good quality food.

In Prag zum Italiener essen gehen — warum? So ging’s mir beim ersten Mal auch. Mir wurde lokale Spezialitaeten versprochen, es stellte sich dann als Mediteranes Restaurant heraus. Dann wurde es mehr spezifisch und wurde ein Italienisches Lokal und dann hoerte ich, dass auch Pizza angeboten werden sollte. Ich fragte mich selbst, warum ich in Prag zu einem Italiener gehen sollte. Mit schlechter Laune schloss ich mich den Kollegen an und erwartet«nichts» von diesem Abend. Voll ueberrascht las ich die Speise– und Wein-Karte. Feinste Vorspeisen, variantenreiches Angebot mit Fleisch und Fisch wurden neben guter Pasta und Pizza geboten. Die Wein-Karte zeigte interessante Weine aus allen Regionen Italiens(auch aus meiner Lieblingsregion Alto Adige /Suedtirol). Ich waehlte das Tatar de Manzo und das Filetto de Manzo mit Gaenseleber. Oh — war das gut! Perfekt bereitet und sehr schoen angerichtet. Ein Schmaus fuer Augen und Zunge. Der Lagrein von Franz Haas begleitete das Fleisch vollendet. Mittlerweile war ich ein zweites Mal dort, um Service und Qualitaet nochmals zu checken. Alles war immer noch perfekt. Ein aufmerksamer Service, ein tolles Frisch-Fisch-Angebot und nette Anachspeisen-Karte lockt schon fuer den naechsten Besuch. Was habe ich gelernt? Vorurteile sind nicht immer richtig.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The waiters are very helpful, the food is phenomenal and the prices are perfectly acceptable I recommend this is a great place to go in Prague. The staff makes you feel welcome and like family, actually they are a lot of fun.

This is a very elegant restaurant with great service that never lets you down. It is a perfect place for any occasion — whether private romantic dinner or business lunch. They have a great selection of wines and in summer the garden that is located inside the courtyard is just amazing! Definitely try fish in this place as this is one of the restaurants where you can be assured that the fish/seafood is going to be fresh and tasty.

We ate here our first night on Prague. Warm and stylish ambience, super friendly, efficient staff, lovely setting with garden terrace once you pass through an up scale shopping center. We had a super Chardonnay and great seafood. I had a seafood ceviche salad and my husband had grilled mixed seafood. We also ordered a side dish of grilled veggies. All was very well prepared, presented and flavorful. The ceviche was uniquely prepared and delicious though the salad greens underneath were a bit over saturated in the light lemon dressing. The grilled seafood was great. All in all, a fantastic first meal in Prague. Definitely will return. Wish it had a no-smoking area though.

Just finished a great meal. I had the grilled seafood and it was perfect. The owner introduced himself and he is clearly in love with his restaurant. Had a nice Italian Chardonnay that was moderately priced, complimenting my fish and my wife’s ceviche. Not easy dishes to prepare well but these were excellent. Only reason it does not get 5 stars — too much cigarette smoke.

I believe Kogo restaurant is the best Italian restaurant in the city. I’ve never tried the Italian cuisine better(besides Italy, and Ticino, Switzerland of course). Home made pasta, the highest quality sea-food, fresh and tasty vegetables. This is the place which is worth your money and time. On average I would say you pay about 500 – 700 kc per meal.
