The only thing I’m giving a star for is the atmosphere. They did a good job trying to create a medieval interior or what we think of it. But this is where it ends. The food was awful Every single dish we ordered. Soups — onion soup(honzova cubical) and goulash in a bread bowl, were extremely oversalted. Croutons in the onion soup had to be sitting there for a very long while while the rest of the food were cooking, so they become a disgusting slimy and saggy bread mass. Pork knee(veprove koleno) was very dry, lacked meat and the skin was so hard, we could barely open it with 2 knives. Chicken wings were just disgusting. I mean how can you really ruin chicken wings? Total disappointment on all accounts. The waiter S. Parisek, the name we got from the check, was extremely rude, and almost threw the plates we were asking for a half an hour in our faces. We are never coming back, and never recommend to anyone. AVOIDBYALLMEANS, SAVEYOUMONEY!!!

You really get the feeling you are experiencing history as you delve into this castle like place. It is dark and dungeony but is classic and fun. If you love theme meals, you’ll love this.

Yes, it’s a tourist spot, but it is pretty cool. The food isn’t the greatest, but it’s very passable, especially since Prague isn’t exactly known for it’s gourmet cuisine. The restaurant itself feels like you’re going into a medieval cave/underground restaurant. The ambiance and aesthetics are pretty cool and very fun. The price is pretty cheap/reasonable as well.
