We found this little gem of a wine bar thanks to Unilocal.Hubby and I were looking for a non-Moravian wine fix(since I’ve yet to try one I like) in the Old Town and found Tempo Allegro. I enjoyed an Italian Cabernet Sauvignon and hubby had a glass of Rioja. It was a Sunday night and we had the place to ourselves — though it only has five tables anyway and is tiny. I noticed a garden terrace in the back as well. We stopped by the following afternoon for more wine and some nibbles. We opted for pecorino cheese, artichoke hearts and prosciutto, which was all quite yummy. It was marginally busier on our second visit, but still felt very intimate.

This is a great little bar! Hemingway’s wasn’t open so we went next door and glad we did. Have a charcuterie platter with your wine. Yummy! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is intimate. They also have an outdoor garden area that looks very nice.

After several full days of walking and tourists, this small wine bar was a nice respite. Bottle of Elsa Bianchi Syrah and plate of olives, cheeses, and salamis hit the spot. Best presentation of a delicious brownie ever!

Wandered into this place when I saw they had homemade blueberry and raspberry cheesecake. Funny enough, the interior, friendly staff and variety of wine, meat and cheese made me forget all about the cheesecake! This small wine bar and café is located right near karlovy lazne, so if you are out and about near the charles bridge/staromestska area, then you can easily walk down this side road and find it. The inside is quite small, there is only about 5 tables, so if you come at a busy time you may have to wait for a table. Luckily I came smack in the middle of the day, it was empty so I got my pick of where to sit plus I got great service. There are very nice photos of France/Paris in frames on the walls, and the design and wine display is nice as well. They have a lot of wines to choose from, but I thought the best was the Czech Reisling I had the dried pepper salam and the spicy cheese with a fresh bagette. Delicious. Came with fresh olive oil and was more then enough for one person to be full off of. Usually I am not a huge fan of these types of eateries, but I really enjoyed this one. Great place to sit for a while, relax with free wifi and a glass of wine.

Came here in hopes of Italian food, but found out the only«food» item really is the quiche. It’s a cozy and cute place to unwind… and they give you a LOT of cheese. We ordered three cheeses, proscuitto, and a quiche. The quiche was spot on perfect. It was cheesy and the crust was buttery and flaky. The cheeses were hit and miss with me. One of them was hard and flavorless(but I’m afraid I don’t remember which one it was). Overall, cute spot but I had been expecting more from the rave reviews.

Truly wonderful! The owner here goes out of his way to make sure your experience is enjoyable. The wine list is varied and the owner seems more than happy to describe each and every wine to you. The lication is great if you are downtown, just a short walk from the Charles Bridge. They have a small tapas selection, and they can make a tapas plate as per your preferences. The place is tiny, so make sure you have a reservation.

Found based on Unilocal & next to Hemingway’s. too tiny of a space because this place should take off. Fabulous wine list. Not too pricey. Serves finger — snack food. Would highly recommend. Owner a doll. Ugly dog needs to go.

Secreted away on twisty Karolíny Svetle is this little gem of a wine bar. Perfect location close to, but not in the center of the tourist area — it’s a lovely escape from the bustle of Old Town. I had a Morovian Rosé and the owner’s selection of olives, cheeses, and arugula salad.(The spicy pecorino was amazing!) The wine bar is non-smoking, with wifi, and a second seating area. It was the perfect place to spend an hour talking and watching the rain fall on the cobblestones outside. They also serve coffee and have regular menu items.

Tempo Allegro was an accidental find, but a pleasant surprise. The wine bar hasn’t officially opened yet as it is still in its soft opening. The owner said that he is hoping to open sometime in late September/early October. The location is great as it is really close to the Charles Bridge(3 minute walk), and it is right next door to the Hemingway Bar. A good selection of of wine, featuring a lot of Italian and French wines as well as a few local wines. The Czech Riesling I had was light, sweet, and refreshing. There are dessert, cheese and meat pairings as well. I tried the lemon mint tart which was pretty good, a bit tart for my taste, but still good. The owner is really nice and super friendly. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink if you’re in the neighborhood.
