Excellent food with delicate presentation. Was fearful of their Asian fusion menu but was sold once presented. Flavors were surprisingly sharp and they don’t fear the challenge of presenting their ideas in a non-Asian country.

Hmmm, what to say. This place has dropped a long way since my last visits here. Originally, I stumbled across it in 2008, when it was Gordon Ramsay’s maze, which was fairly fantastic. Then, in 2010, it was a decent hotel restaurant, not quite up to the previous standards. This time, we were disappointed by the menu selection, which had been reduced to a la carte only(previously there was always a multi-course menu), the Scallops my partner had were ok, not particularly special, my Black Truffle and Wild Mushroom Flan was flavorful, but again, nothing special, if you have truffle oil in your kitchen. We both went for the lobster as mains, which was unimaginatively prepared, the sides were sparse and boring, the side salad was a few diced bell peppers and cherry tomatoes with a bit of balsamic vinegar sprinkled over it… The tiramisu was too heavy on the alcohol to enjoy, my sticky toffee pudding was ok, didn’t really lead to excitement. The cocktails were mostly ice cubes, however, the wine selection was quite good, even by the glass. All in all, considering I traveled to Prague the first time to go to maze, I won’t probably dine at Zinc again, next time I happen to be in town.
