A+ experience here for only $ 40 a night. We booked this place online and we instantly received an email from the staff about organizing a shuttle to the hotel. Our hot air balloon ride was cancelled and Ali helped us book a wonderful tour of Cappadoccia. We were still able to make the best of our one day here despite the cancellation. We were given multiple free rides into town or to restaurants, tea when we were waiting in the lobby and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. More on the breakfast: there are tons of fresh fruit, olives, dried fruits, cheeses, and breads to choose from. They also will fry you an egg or give you an omelette. Also their dog is awesome! This is the place to stay in Goreme.

Divan Cave hotel was wonderful! It surpassed all my expectations of anything! I love Cappadocia!!! Though we did not stay here long, I will most definitely be back one day! Room: Ali upgraded us to a cave suite as February is a bit slow. Thank you! It was huge and he was going to bring us another bed because we had requested two beds! Can you believe it!!! I was traveling with my sister, we can share, it was no big deal. Staff: The hotel was a great deal because of Ali. He is the hotel’s manager and our tour guide. He took us on a walking tour of Rose Valley and showed us a bunch of churches. It was amazing! I am a afraid of climbing up and down hills and he was more than patient. He set up other wonderful tours for us as well and provided excellent recommendations. We went with the hot air balloon and the underground tour. We loved i!!! Ali also offered to take us to the panoramic view of Cappadoia. He provided two wake up calls but we were so exhausted from the hike up to Rose Valley we could not rally. I’ll come back for this!!! Food: Same every morning. I like the Turkish version of french toast. They were also more than happy to make omelets on request. I declined as there was so much food already. The view was to die for. I facetimed my friends just to show them! Ali — I’ll be back! You and your staff are wonderful! This time you’ll have to take us up to the panoramic view. Thank you for such hospitable service Stayed: February 2014

After my complete stay here, despite the mess up with my hot air balloon reservation, I must say, I would come back. Provide good breakfast, eggs and omelette a included, great service, free private rides to old town and open air museum(I’m sure there’s more but we only went there. Hanife was super helpful with directions, making reservations for us for the rest of our stay, super friendly, answered all out questions and very approachable(trust me, being approachable is huge for me). Ali was funny, approachable, fun, knowledgeable and treated us like friends(it was a warm feeling) Showed us the best view at night after some wine. He gave us the free Rose Valley hike. It was him and his puppy, Shaki, they’re a team. Ramo cooked for us. Him and his cousin provided us with great breakfast every morning and dinner the night we arrived at midnight which he didn’t have to. His English is more limited than Ali and Hanife but his nonverbals are welcoming. He nods at us every morning to say good morning and offered to make us eggs. I fully trust the people here and now I have nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend.

Between Ali and Hanife, the staff we interacted with most at Divan, our stay was top notch. There were many things that stood out to us, but the hospitality and knowledge that the staff displayed is one of the overarching themes. The hospitality began even before we started our trip to Turkey as Hanife answered all of my questions through e-mail within no more than an hour or so of me e-mailing her. When we got there, she told us how to get around Goreme and what was worthwhile. Whenever we had a spare hour or two of downtime, we would ask them what they recommended and they always had something to fill that time if we wanted. Though I’m not sure they offer it at all times, perhaps just when things aren’t as busy, one of the most impactful things for us was that they offered to drive us at one point to the Goreme Open Air Museum. It’s only a mile or so away, but you wouldn’t get that service nearly anywhere else. Then, we even set up a time for them to come pick us up when we were done. All in all, a great stay and I would unhesitatingly recommend Divan to anyone visiting Turkey. Also, that dust/sand in your shower? It’s normal. You’re living in a cave after all…

Good: — Reservation was easy and communication afterwards was great! — We got upgraded to cave suite(room 348) — We paid cash and got a discount — All the staff speaks English and so they were very helpful with booking tours(I recommend booking all the tours at where you are staying and paying cash to get maximum discount) — Healthy breakfast buffet options every morning(included to room rate) — Airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost(complimentary if you book both the daily tour and hot air balloon ride) — The guests staying here were very nice! We even ended up having dinner with another guest who had reservations to Top Deck restaurant. — Divan Cave House is located up in the hill, a short walking distance away from the town center — Great views of hot air balloons at sunrise — Free Wi-Fi Not so Good: — Cave hotel is an experience in itself. That said, the cave room had that slight cave-y(read stale) smell. Note: Most hotels requires credit card information to reserve rooms, give your cc information to the manager over the phone and DONOT email your cc number. I made a mistake of emailing my cc information and the very next day, someone in Bulgaria was going on a shopping spree with my card. Btw, Unilocal map is off. Open google map and search Fairy Chimney Inn. Divan Cave House is nearby that hotel.
