Gültekin Motel

My friends and I booked 2 rooms and stayed for 2 nights. Although the hotel is located in downtown Goreme (walkable distance to anywhere downtown) We absolutely do not recommend this accommodation.
1) The staff who work there at night speak very limited English. There are just 1 – 2 staff who could speak English.
2) Our room was raided by a stray cat (TWICE!) and the cat went through our bed, food and trash in our room (we had to clean up by ourselves!!). The hotel staff left our window open. Upon returning to our room at night around 11pm, we saw trash all over our floor and dirty cat foorprints on our beds. We went to notify the staff. Their staff’s response? «What do you want us to do?»…EPIC…end of game… no hospitality here.
3) Do not get the Belly Dancer/​Dervish Dance dinner program with them. There was just one belly dancer and the performance was actually trashy (she danced not in an artistic way… more like a pole dance to seduce guys)…and the whole belly dancing was just 15 min max. Rest of program were poorly coordinated… and what’s for dinner… pumpkin seeds, bread, peanuts, crackers and a plate of salad and bland, boiled chicken over rice…
4) The hotel rooms are covered in dust. The bar to hang our cloths were dusty (my friend had to wipe the dust off) and my friend and I actually had to put on socks while in our room/​while going to bed because the floor (and potentially our bed linens) were dusty…
