Cave Hotel Saksağan

We looked over so many options. Finally we decided on the Cave Hotel Saksagan. And we are so glad we did! The owner/​manager was so helpful to us, and born and raised in Goreme, knew his stuff and loved the place. His recommendations guided us time and again to great moments. Okay, so he thought one underground city would be enough. For most it would be, but we wanted to visit the two largest ones and were glad we did. We got a great value for what we paid, and with everything considered, I seriously doubt you could do better. I stay perhaps 150 hotel nights in a year. The owner, the helper (breakfast, reception) and the cleaning person were so special counting in all those stays. The fairy chimney was the real deal! And that makes sense as Numan’s family was among the first offering rooms in town. If you want bland high end polish and super comforts and large TVs, please go elsewhere. Our goal was to be out and about a lot, and yet this base made all the difference! If you want a great rate, an amazing (!!!) breakfast and the sense of a nice spot in a cave room, this is the place.
