I used to come here, I tried everything and saw how it was made they don’t clean their blenders it was clear but I could see left overs as if they just rinsed it off and when I asked for new coffee cause it was cold they just microwaved my cup also they leave their creamers out and the place looks dirty they could use new stuff or new management

Not a fan! I recently moved to Austin, from Portland, and was looking for a new coffee spot. Someone recommend Maui Wowi, so I figured I would give them a shot… Not impressed! The service was bad — it took forever to get our order, despite only ordering two stings AND being the only patrons. The coffee was bad — WAY to sweet and tasted scorched. Note: I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and try one more time.

Smoothies were decent but I wasn’t too impressed with the lack of choices. These are also more of a «dessert» versus one of the healthier options you would find at a juice bar. The only protein option was a soy/whey mix and they have no nut butters, not even peanut butter.

Yum! Got the iced mocha, but with half white chocolate and half dark chocolate. It was definitely better than Starbucks. It’s a bit pricey, but I wouldn’t mind paying it again.

Delicious coffee, great service! I went through the drive thru, wanted a change from Starbucks and got a medium 16 oz kona coffee(I think it’s their house brew) for $ 2.11. Not a bad price and definitely worth it. Fresh, hot and fast! It was served up from a very friendly man(I think the owner) who greeted me with«aloha!“and didn’t mind my puppy jumping at him from the car. I found my hidden gem! It’s right next to heb and super close to home. The menu has a ton of Hawaiian style coffee, lattes, smoothies and breakfast tacos and sweets. Next time I will go inside and check out the café.

I had some trouble finding the location, because I didn’t know it was inside HEB. I’m glad I finally found it though. It was worth the drive around, for sure. I ordered a matcha green tea smoothie. It was about 60 degrees outside and the lady that took my order made sure I knew they had hot drink options in the same flavor since it was«cold» outside. I assured her I wanted the smoothie. With the $ 1 off check-in offer, my smoothie was a little over $ 4, and definitely worth it. The matcha green tea flavor was very rich and pronounced. The smoothie was the perfect consistency, and they put real whipped cream on top. I’d love to go back and try more flavors!

Not a bad spot for a cup of coffee, they made a decent latte. However, service is extremely slow. I waited at the register for close to dive minutes before someone appeared from the back to provide service. A few minutes later, when I had a question about connecting to the wifi, I was subject to a similar wait. Note that this is not a spot with reliable wifi. They had to reset their modem in order for me to connect. Thirty minutes later, the connection dropped again and this time I was unable to re-establish a connection. Bottom line: if you are shopping at HEB and want a good cup of coffee, you might want to try this. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

Trying to quit coffee so I got a steamed milk. I was the only one in the café. Free wi-fi but you have to ask for the password. The wi-fi speed was bit slow. There are outlets all over which was very convenient.

Came here while I was shopping and got a blended ice coffee and man was it delicious!!! The service was fairly quick and the décor was nice and tropical which I’m sure that’s what they are going for. The gentleman who helped me out was a nice guy and he chatted me up while I was waiting for my drink. Overall it’s a good coffee shop and it’s different from Starbucks. Definitely would come back again when I’m shopping here at the HEB. Prices are a little steep though my drink was about 5.65 so just know for the blended ice coffees it was a little pricey.

You gotta try Frozen espresso here. It is full of delight!!! It is a little expensive but worth paying for that and has a very cosy atmosphere.

Nice quiet area in the front of super HEB. Didn’t try the smoothies since I’m cutting down sugar. Iced kona coffee was delicious! Lots of seating. Couches were a bit tough, smoothies were tasty!

I am in love with this place! Every coffee drinker knows the difference between a mass produced cup of coffee and a gourmet coffee! Then there are big name coffee shops that sell overpriced mass produced cups off coffee they claim as gourmet! This one is the real deal! I comfortable space with loads of character and serving gourmet coffee at a reasonable price! I ordered their dark roast with a shot of espresso(black) and a pumpkin latte for my friend! Mine was $ 4 for a large… um amazing price and even better product for the price! My friend said his latte was really good and a small was about $ 3! The Barista(think her name was Yum) was great! She was quick and friendly!

Nice place in the morning! Calm and soothing! It probably gets crowded during the day with H.E.B. connected, I’m sorry I don’t get around the area too much anymore.

We live in America. What this means is that we get so accustomed to certain things that we start to actually believe they are necessary to our survival. In other words, we get an overwelming sense that we are actually entitled to these things, like we are entitled to water and air. And I’m not just talking about modern conveniences like internet and clean public bathrooms, oh no. I’m also referring to Customer Service. We think it’s our God-given right that wherever we go, if we are spending ANY amount of money and/or time, than we MUST be treated like Jesus. As long as we are The Customer and waiters, checkers, counter folk, etc. are Working, then this reduces them down to peasants in the corn field and promotes us up to Kings and Queens of Universal Proportions. It doesn’t matter that when these folks get off work they are therefor transferred into The Customer role wherever they go, or that some of us may be service staff for a living, nope. As long as one person is getting paid(rather poorly, most likely) to stand there and the other person is paying money, then there might as well be the Grand Freaking Canyon between us as human beings. It’s our God-given, right, dammit. We’re Americans. We’re not some kind of European hobo heathens. I recognize this and thus, when I go anywhere as The Customer, I don’t expect, nor desire, Jesus Service. I expect to find someone working their minimum wage job and to make some kind of attempt at not being completely miserable about it. Muster up a smile, a «hello», or just not kick me, and I’m ok. Get my order right, don’t make me wait 2 hours, I’m good. Just because I live in America doesn’t make me Jesus and I get that. So, when I experience a less-than-friendly service worker, I don’t sweat it. They’re humans, not robots. I’m human, not Jesus. I think you get my point already. That being said… DONODENY A PREGNANTWOMANHERSMOOTHIE. I could have written Corporate and complained about the employee and possibly gotten them written up/fired, but I didn’t. I’m not some entitled American jackass. But, if she happens to lose her job because her company goes out of business because people stop getting smoothies from there because they have the absolute worst customer service imaginable… then she has nobody to blame but herself.

Maui Wowi is a Hawaiian-themed coffee & smoothie shop. Their coffee comes from the Hawaiian islands. The shop is really cute. It’s decorated with leis, straw hats, and grass skirts. The music they play at this shop are popular songs that remind you of the beach like the Beach Boys, «Somewhere Over the Rainbow» with the ukelele, and«Lucky» by Colbie Caillet & Jason Mraz. =) Originally, I was looking for Teo’s Café known for their gelatos & espresso. As the barista at Maui Wowi said, «Teo’s is no longer at this Parmer location. We snatched up their lease.» This place is a franchise and is connected to the H-E-B on I-35& Parmer Lane. I ordered their iced latte with coconut syrup added and currently using their Wi-Fi to type this… =) k, time to get back to work! Thanks for reading. P. S. They have a few locations around town, and the awesome pink paper umbrella with my drink? I took it home. ;)
