Good coffee, Texenza coffee lite with dark chocolate highly recommended!

Doh! — Could have had Starbucks!(slap forehead in imitation of those old V8 juice commercials). There’s nothing really wrong with the place if you want your coffee fix and it’s the closest place you find — but unless it is the closest place, there are bound to be better choices at hand. Bright, clean, utilitarian rather than cozy. Friendly staff — no hipster baristas here.

I’ll be honest. we took this exit off 35 when we saw the sign for Starbucks… Not seeing the Starbucks, we were going to hit the café at HEB, but then we saw Texenza, so stopped here instead. My iced coffee was very tasty and Thuy and I agreed that it tasted better than iced coffees from Starbucks. Not sure if the coffee was a mocha, but it had a chocolate element to it. Thanks for the caffeine for that long drive home.

I live very close to this coffee shop and I honestly prefer to go here than any national chain. The staff is friendly and I really love the cold brewed vanilla lattes. Every time I go here it’s packed with folks from my neighborhood and I always end up chatting people up. For the area it’s probably the best local coffee place. Of course, if you know of another nearby, I’d love to hear it!

This is my 1st time here and the coffee and tacos were good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking of seating. Décor is cool not to bright and not do plain. The only reason I didn’t give it is 5 stars is because a majority of the tables hadn’t been wiped off and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a few weeks. I will return.

The staff is nice enough, the food is ok, and the coffee is decent, but the reason I only gave this place two stars? Their ‘free’ wifi. Don’t be fooled. They recently switched to some strange, unheard of service to manage their internet. Now, when you want to use their wifi, it requires you register your email address with said strange company. Not comfortable giving out my regular email address, I used a nonsense(yet valid) email address and decided to run a little experiment. I spent about thirty minutes browsing around various commercial websites(Amazon, B&N, Ovestock, etc) and ran a couple of pointed web searches through Google. Within three days, my nonsense email address that I’d created for the express purpose of browsing the web at Texenza was inundated with spam, spam, and more spam. Clearly, this company monitors your web habits and sells your email address. I would not be surprised if Texenza is getting a kick back as an agreement to use their service. There are plenty of places that offer free wifi in this city that do not sell you down the river. Go for the coffee, if you like, but if you value your privacy, leave your laptop home.

If starbuck is 3 star I would rate texenza 4 starts. From my experience latte at this place had nicer staff and slightly stronger latte and bolder taste then starbuck’s latte.

Good coffee — they use coffee roasted in Seattle. The employees were knowledgeable about coffee(a must for a good coffee house) and very friendly. Beats $bucks any day!

«Meh» is right. Oh, Texenza. Texenza is not good, people. They pull the wool over your eyes with their deals — and they ARE good deals… if you know their word of the day, you’ll get half off. If you have one of their website coupons, you’ll get half off. And the drinks are already cheap, so that’s nice of them. But a discount on crap still means that you are paying, however little, for crap. If you’re not really that into coffee, then this is your place. Perhaps you won’t even notice that you’re ingesting what seems to me to be the equivalent of panther piss(note: I have no idea what that tastes like, but if I ever had to give a best guess, I’d offer up a Texenza mocha). I feel like Texenza has some prime real estate, which is a waste. They have free wi-fi, which is a waste. They have such nice employees, which is also a waste. They even have fans, which is a misleading waste. It’s not good or great. It’s only average when it applies itself, which doesn’t seem to be often. Oh, Texenza.

My neighborhood coffee shop. I find the cold brewed mochas here pretty good(choc stars & plenty of whip if you want ‘em to sugarbuzz it up). The breakfast tacos & sammiches aren’t bad either. I’ll give them an extra star for this: follow them on twitter where they give a word of the day that will get you half price drinks.

I sometimes go to this place to work, and it’s a good place for gathering and also for work. Yet, I only give 2 stars because their coffee don’t taste good(other espresso beverages are good, just regular coffee), and the place isn’t too clean. I sometimes go very early in the morning, and the tables and floors are so dirty already. I have to wipe the table before being able to sit down…

Update: This place is called Texenza, not Texana. My apologies…
