I love this little gem! The food is very reasonable, delicious and the location is perfect. I’m bummed I didn’t know about it sooner, I’ve been driving to tim-buk-to for Thai food. I had the chicken fried rice(OMG the ) and the Phad Thai. So yummy and the owner Chad is so kind. I’m a lifer. I’ll be back, maybe for lunch …

Best Thai in Chino Hills! We’ve tried other restaurants and we love their Thai Iced Tea«the bomb» hands down, the best in town. Their beef satay, fried rice, pad Thai dishes and everything else on the menu is fantastic. A must item to order is the Tom Yum Kai soup!

Can’t go wrong with the S-1 and S-8. Don’t forget to add a Thai Ice Tea for your afternoon boost. I love this place. Food comes out fresh and hot. The rice is unbelievable. I can eat this all day! Thank you Thai Original BBQ!

We’ve been eating here since we moved to Chino Hills in 2005. We’ve always loved the simplicity and homeliness of the restaurant. They haven’t changed anything since we’ve first been here. I think only the fishes in the fish tank have changed.

I dine at the Thai Original BBQ in Cerritos all the time and it is one of my favorite Thai restaurant so when I found out there was one in Chino Hills I really wanted to try it. I ordered the S-1 because they ran out of S-2. S-1 is the chicken bbq plate, and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as good as the Cerritos location. At the Cerritos location, the chicken would be falling off the bones as oppose to this location where I had to use the fork and knife to cut the chicken out. I think I’ll stick to the Cerritos location for some S1 and S2 plate. It was a nice try Chino Hills but Cerritos location takes the win!

Highly Recommended by a good friend of mine when I asked for a great food in chino hills. We were not disappointed. Good service is big to me and Tony took his time to see that we were well taken care of. The Pad Thai and Veg Rice were delicious. 5stars and will be back again…

Don’t let the exterior or the interior of this place drive you away because you’ll be missing out! For years, I judged this restaurant by its cover refusing to believe that it would be any good. Boy was I wrong! I’d like to call this Thai comfort food because you get the best of both worlds of Thai food and BBQ. I had a very specific craving for Thai noodles and BBQ ribs and I was searching for a place with both. The hangry monster from within was raging with impatience as I looked on Unilocal trying to figure out what to eat. My husband was fearing for his life when he came upon this spot and saw that it offered both. We ordered the pad see ew and the S-2 combo with the BBQ ribs. Both orders came in such large portions, my tummy was super happy to see it! They were both delicious and we gobbled both down in no time! Come here to satisfy your tummy!

It’s been a long time since we’ve eaten here… a really long time(I’m talking years ago). But I’m glad this place is still here. Their food is as good as I remember it and the service was attentive. The price is still reasonable and the portions are good. A great place to have lunch!

This is a nice place to eat Thai food and chill. Our food came pretty quick. The portion was decent and flavor was above decent.

I’ve been coming here for years now, as a fallback place to eat with my parents when fast food is too cheap, cooking at home is too messy, and anywhere better is too expensive; either that, or they’re too impatient to wait for Korean food. The noodles feel tough and the flavor is all the same. The service and the Thai tea are very nice though. They treat you very well here, and it’s a very welcoming place. It’s just not worth coming back here for the food. Pros: –Extremely friendly service! –You never have to wait to be seated(I wonder why, though…) –Pricing is good: just expensive enough to be more exquisite than fast food, but just cheap enough to not be considered too expensive! Cons: –The food is not very tasty. –Leftovers do not sit well in the fridge… Rice and noodles both especially get very hard and dry after even just a few hours in the fridge. –Even with an underpopulated room, food takes a little too long to come out. –They sized down on the size of the Thai tea –The music selection is KIISFM coming from one side of the restaurant. If I had the choice, I would take my business elsewhere. It’s just getting less and less worth to eat here!

Ordered food on super bowl from the LA(Hollywood Blvd) location and it was amazing! After much research I learned there was one in Chino Hills! So today after work I stopped to pick up room the owner is such a nice guy. As I sat waiting for my food he brought me a sample of my food to try fresh and a free Thai ice tea! Talk about exceptional customer service! I will tell everyone to come here just for the service alone but the food was even better! So happy there is one close to home!

Love coming to this place for Thai food. I usually get the S-1 which is the BBQ Chicken, or the beef sate with the peanut sauce. Make sure to add the cucumber salad for the appetizer, and try the Thai coffee or Thai Tea to drink. Everything here is really good! The freshness of the food and excellent customer service provided is why I’ll always be coming back to this place! Last night I was in such a hurry to get to my car that I forgot I had taken out my wallet and an envelope of money, and set it down on the seat. I got a text as I was getting up to leave and I forgot my wallet and money. Thank you to Chad for not only finding my wallet and envelope of money, but for being an honest business owner here in Chino Hills and returning it to me. It could have been easy for someone to return the wallet itself and keep the cash, which was over $ 400 by the way. I’m glad to know that there are still honest people people out there looking out for one another. Thanks again Chad, your kindest is very much appreciated! Stop by this place to get your Thai fix, you won’t be disappointed.

First impressions: I came in and thought this place is nice and clean. Then again, it had just opened. We sat at our table and it was really sticky, and yet the server stated it was clean. Ordering: When we ordered, it seemed the server did not understand what I was saying, he smiled politely and agreed to everything I commented on not really giving input to my questions. I was disappointed to say that he did not give me a recommendation. I ordered a 7-up and he said they were out. They only had Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Really? Food: The food was delicious. That’s all I have to say. Final Impressions: The food is overall good. Service, is okay as the waiter had trouble understanding my requests. Not the best place, but at least the food was tasty. Update: The shrimp fried rice only had two pieces of shrimp. Is this common for these dishes, or were they being stingy with the shrimp?

first thai og bbq i had was in carson, ca. that was a long time ago, and how i missed eating their shrimp fried rice. for some reason, i prefer their version of shrimp fried rice compared to other thai restaurants i’ve been to, not too oily, not too dry either. i ordered the beef sate dinner, where it has some beef skewers, shrimp fried rice and a little salad on the side, with peanut butter sauce. though im not a fan of dipping my beef in peanut sauce, so i asked for vinegar instead. thats how filipinos eat their bbq beef. on vinegar! try it! the food was really good, it didnt disapoint… one star off, was everytime we needed something, the waiter would disappear, then i’d always walk up to the counter and this other guy is always on his phone, but he makes up for it with fast service, even if he wasnt our waiter, he goes back to us really fast.

Pretty good Thai food, friendly service and quality eats. I had the beef sate combination with shrimp fried rice and small side of the cucumber salad. The sate was your standard sate no better or worse than other Thai restaurants but where they shined was on the shrimp fried rice. It was a light basic fried rice but very good. A lot of places overdo fried rice with too many ingredients. Less is more in this case. The cucumber salad was a real small side but also very good. I will order a full side of this on my next visit. It’s definitely worth a try.

I’ve been to another Thai Original BBQ, but enjoyed my experience here a lot more here. First, this place is really clean! Another table even dropped a chopstick cover and didn’t bother to pick it up(rude), but the waiter picked it up within three minutes! The service was really good. The tall waiter who was wearing a gold watch was really sweet, courteous, and constantly checked in with us. BEEFSATE(appetizer): Comes with 8 skewers of marinated beef for 13 dollars. Sure the beef only goes down like half the skewer, but at least the flavor is there! You don’t even need the peanut sauce, but the peanut sauce is tasty!(: I didn’t try the cucumber salad that comes in a little sauce dish, so don’t expect much for that. If you got the Sate Dinner, it’s the same thing with just shrimp fried rice for an extra dollar. I’d get that next time instead. THAIBBQCHICKENDINNER: Comes with half a bbq chicken over shrimp fried rice for a total of like 9 dollars! Such a steal! The shrimp fried rice is simple and delicious. I appreciate the lack of oiliness on the rice. Really hearty and healthy meal. They have a yummy honey sauce on the side as well. You can order this without the rice a la carte too. PHADSEEEWE: They spell it weird here, but I loved my dish. You have the option of which meat you want and I got mine with chicken. It was enjoyable and exactly what I expected. Decent size portion considering it’s like 9 dollars. PHADTHAI: Ordered it with shrimp and it came out good. If anything, it tastes a hint sweeter than other places. I still ate it haha so I can’t say anything. Again, really good portion size for 9 dollars. Just look at my photos! Overall, flavor is consistent with the other branch I’ve been to. Clean restaurant with good service. Really reasonable prices too! Would recommend just paying the dollar for shrimp fried rice if you have a big enough party to share. What’s not to love about a few more carbs!(: Definitely coming back in the future!
