This is one of the worst burgers ever! I was told the burgers are cooked medium RAW, really? I asked for just medium, but instead I get an over cooked patty with two small pieces of burned bacon and a small slice of cheddar! The trio appetizer also sucked! We won’t be coming back to this place!

The burgers were very very good. The sourdough bread is a little too much. I had fries and they were delicious. The atmosphere wad good and the staff was ok. I would definitely go back for the burgers.

This place is great. At first we were worried because the parking lot was packed and we thought it would be a long wait, but that was not the case. We had our take out order in about 15 mins and the burgers were fantastic. Not bad for Friday evening in a resort town. Very interesting menu with lots of innovative toppings. I had the Chronic which was a ½ pounder with avocado, green chili, pepperjack and sour cream. Yummy. My wife had the Beckham, corn smoked bacon, wild mushrooms, onions, guac and American Cheese. She said it was the best burger she ever had. Lot’s of good bun choices as well including gluten free. Very good and very fast! They also had a hopping bar scene if you are into that. We had the kiddos so we took it to go.

This place sucks. It was terrible. It wasn’t even edible but it cost me about $ 15…they took my order down wrong and I wrote it down. We had heard good recommendations from the locals here. Very bad recommendation. I would never eat there again and would steer people far away.

I actually ate raw chicken at this place… My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. We saw they had mediocre reviews so our expectations were pretty low. I made the mistake of ordering the chicken tenders meal. I took a big bite and initially noticed the hot sauce was pretty spicy but as I continue to chew I thought«huh, this is pretty chewy chicken» I look down and my chicken was RAW! Not undercooked, just RAW. Visible muscle striations blood vessels and all. Cold to the touch raw chicken. Naturally I was fuming mad to discover that my mouth is now a breeding ground for salmonella. I abruptly took my chicken to the front counter where I was met with an incompetent employee who actually gave me attitude for being mad! We decided to take our concerns to the manager as I had zero comfort in the ability of this girl to handle our problem competently. The manager was very helpful and nice. He refunded our money obviously. I guess it’s the least you can do for potentially poisoning someone and causing serious illness. When I think of my experience at this place I envision gnawing on raw, chewy chicken with cold blood vessels… never again

Very good & fresh! The food came out in a timely manner, exactly as we ordered it. Sweet potato fries on point!

Fried pickle portion was awesome but taste is ordinary, no seasoned flavor in the breading. Ordered the mushroom burger and the hang over burger that has the fried egg. The food looks better than it tastes. Should have gone to Chili’s instead.

Awesome spot for burgers! It is a pub type atmosphere, but if a great burger is what your looking for this is your place! I’ve tried the Dr. Padre and Boy Bleu and both are outstanding! Outside dining area is nice when the weather is pleasant.

Place is freaking awesome. Had a regular cheese burger-really good. Took a group of kids and we started off with the padre island cheese fries. Basically cheese fries with bbq sauce, jalapeños and bacon. Sit on the patio and enjoy a game of darts.

I loved this place. My buger was good and my beer was cold just as those two things should be! I recommend this place if that’s the kind of food you’re looking for. The atmosphere is like a good dive bar and we know the world cannot have enough of those!

Burgers were good, the cashier at the front super friendly and helpful. I understand it’s the beginning of spring break, and maybe the restaurant is catering to the young crowd… but you may want to refrain from playing profanity laced music at 4 in the afternoon. I had my son & nephew, both 14, who thought it was hilarious that the restaurant was playing Drake super loud & uncensored. Not«kid friendly» at all.

Took kids for lunch and was absolutely disappointed. Burned buns, burned patties, rude cashier and bartender. This is in addition to people entering the wrong door and getting angry that others(us) were in line ahead of them. Will not recommend this dark, dank hole in the wall to anyone… y’all need to polish up this place to get a more diverse crowd

Stopped in and ordered an appetizer of guacamole and chips. Ordered grilled blackened chicken breast. Appetizer was great with big chunks of avocado and not overly spicy Blackened chicken was tasty, as was the grilled squash. Fries were burned. Bartender was playing Rap music at 4:00PM, complete with«F&N“words. Notice — Most civilized people aren’t impressed with crude vulgarities. A bit noisy for my taste, the bar is not separated from the kitchen. Overall a disappointing experience

Food wise this place is legit. It’s a burger joint — they serve the standard fare in a casual atmosphere. You order the burgers and pick them up when they’re ready. Self service drinks. The bar is right in the middle of the restaurant and they have a great selection of beer. The tables don’t seat a big crowd but there are tables outside on the patio as well. The portions were huge and reasonably priced. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the burgers were delicious. Definitely worth it you will not be disappointed. We will definitely return. It was a little dark inside but we didn’t mind it one bit. I would rather have an awesome meal in a hole in the wall than a crappy meal in a «fancy» place. If you agree then this is the place for you.

We stopped here yesterday after reading some great reviews. I ordered the Boy Bleu burger. Disappointed when I got it because it had no actual bleu cheese on it that I could see it was topped with a bleu cheese dressing type sauce. Surprisingly it was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly and flavored nicely, the bacon was too die for. Dont forget the toasted sourdough bun which was amazing! It was a fork and knife meal. The fries were crispy and well flavored. Only giving 4 stars because the place needs a good cleaning. They have a lot of eclectic things on the wslls and booths. They would look better if they werent all dusty. Great place in general.

Great food, great service. It’s a nice place for a casual date but nothing fancy. Very kick back, nice big bar and so-so patio. if u can keep the birds away. I had the Mr. Beckham and it was the shizz… I must mention, I’m not fond of burgers with bacon but I went for it and didn’t regret one bite! Amazing bacon!!! The onion rings were also good, tasted like they used corn bread for the crust, good and different in that department

I had«The Chronic Burger». The moist patty was topped with green chile’s, Monterey jack cheese, avocado, and a pleasant surprise of sour cream on a toasted bun.

I ate here on a visit to Padre/Corpus. The place is busy and has a bar. We waited about 30 minutes for our food and we were informed about the wait and decided to wait. It was worth the wait. The burgers were well done which is how I like it. The sweet potato fries are delicious!!! Overall good burger place to eat.

I was in Corpus Christi on vacation recently and we decided to stop by at this burger joint due to the glowing recommendation of an acquaintance. Despite opening at 11 am and us arriving to the empty establishment at 11:10 am, we were informed that the kitchen was not ready to prepare any food for the next 30 minutes AND that they ran out of the regular french fries before even opening. «Ok…» I thought. «Maybe the food will be worth the delay.» Fast forward 30 minutes. Our plates arrived and I was delighted to see the huge portion size. Overall, I found the Dr. Padre burger(one of their most popular offerings) to be decent but very, very greasy. However, I did enjoy the crispy sweet potato fries. I also like how they have many customization options(for those burger enthusiasts out there). That being said, there are definitely other restaurants I would like to try out before frequenting this place again.

Real potential – AOK plus a little bit extra! Three stars and ½ for customized burgers made to order in an fun, casual environment. The ambience is a little dark inside(or was the one time I visited) and featured a laid-back dining room not unlike the inside of a boathouse with eclectic décor and even a Volkswagen hood hanging from the ceiling. PIBC counter service was very friendly and competent and the seat yourself instructions were easy to follow. I am one of those oddballs who prefer to eat my burger open-faced with a fork, so I ordered the«Hang Over», a ½ pound beef burger topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, and an over-easy fried egg on homemade sourdough paired with Idaho potato garlic fries.. My dining partner ordered the Dr Padre with homemade white bun and smoked thick slabs of bacon, American cheese and BBQ sauce paired with regular fries. My burger was a touch over-cooked but still flavorful, and the fried egg was perfectly executed. I really enjoyed cutting through the runny yolk and letting that thick, yellowy goodness coat every bite. The fries were great as well, but I did prefer the plain to the garlic variety. PIBC boasts an impressive beer list with something everyone should enjoy. To my utter amazement, there was even a gluten-free beer option(isn’t beer a WHEAT beverage!?!), though what that tastes like I am not brave enough to discover – at least not on my first visit. I will likely return to PIBC and give them another chance to live up to their reputation among some of the locals as the«best burger you’ve ever tasted». I’m eager to try the Rockefeller or the Mr Beckham on my next visit.
