Such a hidden gem! Place is a little scary from the outside BUT inside offers so much more. Clean, friendly and REALLY great food! We loved it and will be back

We were greeted by nicely dress service team. We enjoyed the calamari, oysters, tuna with wasabi, and drum Vera Cruz all deliciously prepared and the margaritas were on point. The manager and service team were friendly and cared about the customer experience.

the service was good. the food is below par. The Mahi-mahi was a little cold for a medium rare. The ceviche was«overcooked» and the acidity was too strong.

My brother-in-law and I had the hamburger; my sister had the tuna melt. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This is a really nice restaurant. Like many places here in Texas, it looks better on the inside than it does on the outside. The menu has lots of good choices, and the bar has a nice variety of beers on tap. I’m sure we will return to this restaurant.

This is a «newer» restaurant on Padre Island and it’s WOW for seafood! Everything is prepared to order. So far have been there 3 times in 3 weeks. Have had salmon, drum fish vera cruz, fried oysters(pecan crusted), ALL delish! VERY fresh seafood. Choice of side dishes are included with meal. Moderate prices. Sounds like Mexican restaurant but it isn’t. Would like to know if anyone has tried steaks there? Hard to find but starting to be well known. Good drinks and service. Wish they didn’t have a TV!

Stopped here on the way to the beach. The outside didn’t look like much but I’m glad we stayed the course after reading reviews here. Fish taco & po boy, delish!!! I would stop here again.

Everyone’s main entrees were very, very good. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 was because the calamari was over-cooked and a small portion for nearly $ 10($ 8.99 before tax/tip) and the first beer was totally flat. They totally swapped out our beers for us without any questions though. Service was outstanding and atmosphere was very relaxed. We look forward to the next visit and hopefully no issues next time.

We stumbled onto this place by accident, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! The waiter was very good and fast, we asked what he liked… The grilled fish tacos were amazing. The salads were so fresh and tasty as well. What a lunch! Could not have been better. Great is an understatement.

They were super busy — we ate their on our way out of town Labor Day weekend. So the service was a little slow. But it was seriously the best meal we had all(long) weekend!

Hidden gem. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is really good for the price. There are plenty of options and service has been very good in my experience.

Service was excellent. Cocktails were a do not repeat. Shrimp cocktail was tasty, but could do with a few more shrimps considering the size of the order. My wife had the shrimp scampi, while I had the drum. We both selected the rice and carrots with green beans. The shrimp scampi was good, but my wife said the sauce was too rich for her. I tried it and agreed it was very rich. My drum was well prepared and had a good flavor. The rice was also very well prepared. The green beans and carrots were, well, average. The food and service is above average, so we were surprised that the cocktail drinks were a disappointment. We noticed another couple came in and ordered just an appetizer and one drink, but decided to not order a second drink. They do need to improve on the quality of the bar drinks. Though, the ice tea was good. We will probably try it again to sample another dish.

Last time we where down here this was a boat shop. I hope the boat shop comes back. Food was great, however the service was not. Better dinner experience can be found on the island, keep driving

My 3 star review isn’t for the food. it’s for the lack of service and extremely long wait to receive our entrees and pay. Give yourself 2 hours during lunch… on a slow day. We ordered the fish tacos(blackened) and the chicken fajitas. We were surprised by how good the food was. My fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My side of fries were also coated in a batter which gave them a crunchier texture. If we didn’t have to wait 45 minutes just to receive our food, I would have rated them higher.

We weren’t impressed. Maybe it was because we came around 10pm and the kitchen place was going to close soon. The ambiance was very beachy which was nice. We sat on the patio and got attacked by the Mosquitos so we decided to move indoors. The bacon wrapped shrimp was a hit but they only give you 5 and they rather smaller than anticipated. I ordered the Primavera Pasta. It was bland no taste whatsever, it came with celery and scallops which was not mentioned on the menu. Again maybe because it was closing and they were giving us scraps from the day, idk. My hubby got fish and shrimp and that’s only because they were out of the chicken cordon bleu. His was ok. They give one piece of fish and a few shrimps on the side… So overall it was cool for a late last minute meal however I wouldn’t recommend it…

What a pleasant surprise. From freshly made sides to fresh seafood Cancun Seafood was a perfect place for a beach town lunch. The service was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Although There were plenty of options, substitution requests were all accepted. Seems to be a proudly ran family owned casual restaurant where pride is truly taken in the preparation of the food. Fried shrimp, grilled shrimp PO-boy and grilled shrimp dinner were all good. Home made rice was good but the bacon and cabbage was phenomenal. Chocolate cake and brownie with ice cream was a favorite of the kids.

Did you ever eat at a place so good you didn’t want to tell anyone about it so you can have it to yourself? This is that place. I’m only writing the review because the people there are so nice that I want them to succeed. Cancun is new(a month old when we visited yesterday) but it has already hit its stride as a top-quality seafood place. After the Blue Angels airshow at the Naval Air Station was scratched for weather, the boy and I headed to Snoopy’s thinking we’d get some classic Corpus seafood. We arrived to discover the power was out. 0 for 2 on the day. So we drove south a few miles to Scuttlebutt’s. 45 minute wait. 0 for 3. So we went back to the car, fired up the Unilocal app and found this place right around the corner. Thank you, Unilocal. The building is tucked behind the Padre Island Burger Company with a smallish parking lot.(The angled parking helps.) We were seated immediately and surveyed the crowd. It was a mix of families and mature locals in a brightly lit, clean room with a moderate noise level. Our waiter was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and the food we ordered arrived in a timely fashion, hitting us with wave after wave of really high quality flavor, texture and aromas. We started with oysters for my heir(the menu offered a variety of fried oysters, but he requested raw) and the ceviche for me. The former were fine and the latter was a revelation. The smoky, citrusy fish with shredded cabbage on a crispy tostada was perfect. Then, our entrees arrived; we both had local-caught drum. My son chose blackened and I chose the florentine and shared tastes. The blackening spice had a nice degree of complexity that some restaurants’ lack. The florentine was stuffed with asparagus, perfectly baked and arrived resting in a lemon cream sauce. The rice was on point and the squash-based vegetable mix was great. We had no room for dessert and didn’t want any: the food was so good we were completely satisfied. Note: I saw a piña colada being delivered to another table and ordered one on impulse and was happy to discover it was of the same high quality as everything else in this place. I didn’t watch the bartender make it, but I’d be surprised if anything came out of a mixer bottle. It tasted fresh, well balanced and creamy. I would make the 3 hour drive back from Austin just for this drink. It’s that good.
