I had the 2 fish, 2 shrimp, 2 oysters with fries, and coleslaw. Everything was good except the coleslaw. The food is pretty expensive for the small servings you get. I don’t eat very much, and I was still hungry. So I ordered more food.

Really basic sea food, nothing out of the ordinary and I believe Sea Island in San Antonio actually a little better. My kids had the fried fish and shrimp and it tastes a lot like Long John Silvers.

I have NEVER had an argument with an employee of any kind of business until my family and I ate here this passed weekend on our Summer trip to Corpus Christi. When you walk into Snoopy’s, you order your food at the counter then sit down while they make your food and they will call your name over intercom to pick up your order. So, the first employee you have contact with is the cashier at the counter(they have a couple). I can’t remember her name but it was similar to Jan or Jeanette. Wow, I’m still in SHOCK at how she treated us. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly and expressed how deeply annoyed she was with my husband and I as we were ordering our food. Anytime we asked a question she became more annoyed. I felt as if at any moment she was going to reach across the counter, grab me by my shoulders and scream«JUSTORDERYOURFU#/%ENFOOD, STUPIDTOURISTS!». Finally, I asked if she was the manager. She said no and asked why. I said«Because you’re being very rude.» Her response ****loud, heavy sigh**** «RAAAY,(turns to manager), SHE’S SAYING I’M BEINGRUUUUUDE». It reminded me of my eldest daughter tattle telling on her little sister. The manager acknowledged me with a glance and then the cashier goes«So how? How am I being rude?!» I felt like I was in the freaken twilight zone. Neither she or the manager apologized. All she did was continued to challenge my accusation of her rude behavior. Being that this exchange was taking place in front of my 3 kids, I bit down on my tongue as hard as I could and asked if we could please be done with the order. Paid. Sat down on the patio outside to get as far away from that miserable, young chick as I could. We ate our meal drenched in sweat because it was so hot outside. It was almost comical because the whole family was so quiet as we ate. The cashier ruined our happy vacation vibe during that meal and will never even know it or care, frankly. I gave 2 stars because as much as I hate to admit it… the fish was freaken delicious!!! Haha. It was a little pricey for the small portion but it was really fresh and crispy. P. S. I even vented to a sweet, mild mannered table busser but still no apology. Bottom line, THESTAFFHERESUCKS! THEFOODISEXPENSIVE! BUTYHEFISHISGOOD! To the mean, miserable girl who took our order. Mean people suck and you shouldn’t go through life with such a miserable scowl on your face. Treat others how you yourself would like to be treated. I hope whatever has caused you to be so sour will heal.

Wonderful experience Quality service Casual atmosphere Beautiful views I enjoy good boiled shrimp, and that’s what they had here. Fresh, cooked and chilled perfectly. The seafood combo was tasty and crunchy. There’s a reason they’ve been around since 1980.

We went here a week ago and the food was fresh and tasty, my boyfriend had the crab cakes and wanted more because they were so good. I had the fish and chips which were flakey and deliciously battered. Don’t sit outside, the seagulls are a nuisance, the staff is nice, it’s a seat yourself and fill your own cup kind of place. They take credit cards and there’s an ATM inside if you need it. Get here before the crowd, so glad we did! They don’t have any crab other than crab cakes.

The tell tale signs were there. Friends we never dine with were raving about it. Reviews spoke more extensively about the location and the sunset views rather than speaking about the food.(The Oasis in Austin now comes to mind). We were hoping for table service and instead were greeted by a fast food menu board that was dominated by fried fish plates. The outdoor patio is right on the water but the sun was too bright and too hot to the point of distraction so we retired to the inside of the restaurant and were summarily beset by flies. The food was«meh» at best. My wife and I started wondering how vastly different other people’s taste buds might be. Less than an hour after eating the fish, shrimp and oysters I was regretting our decision to submit to the tourist hype and looking for something to suplant the metalic after taste.

We hadn’t really expected a walk in and order restaurant but I will say that they were fast and tasty. My kids loved the fried fish and shrimp. The little bit of coleslaw that comes with all the meals was amazing! But, be prepared for canned soda to drink and going next door for dessert(Scoopy’s offers ice cream and cakes). Oh and we found it really difficult to get to, my GPS took us all the wrong places.

Ok service not friendly whatsoever. The ice cream was good, I don’t think they make it themselves that’s why lol. The cake was alright. The view was fantastic.

What can I say? After a long day of cruising on the yacht, I decided to anchor at Snoopy’s. I was a little dissapointed that they only had one parking space. I guess I was the lucky one and was able to park. So I get in and ordered the fish sandwich. It came with cheese which was unusual to say the least. This was a risky move on their part. Im sad to say the sandwich would have done well without. Service was quick amd staff was nice. Probably because they have never seen a money boat before… money yacht, money yacht people. Anyway, I’d recommend if you need a quick bite on the bay. But better get there early so you can park your yacht!

Very casual atmosphere, friendly staff and nice view. Ordered the ½ combo dinner which came with 2 each of fried oysters, fish and shrimp, coleslaw which is not sweet with little if any dressing and fries. All was good but the fish is the star of the show. Their tarter sauce is also really good. Also ordered the crab stuffed jalapenos and was not a fan. There was several to a order but the jalapenos are pickled and stuffed with very little crab and battered in cornmeal. Wasn’t that good to me. The meal and jalapenos with a ice water came to about $ 22.

Is always a disappointment to eat on a dock on a bay, breath the fresh ocean air and still get bad seafood. Rumor is most places in Port Aransas use the same, frozen Sysco shrimp you can find in Kansas. Some pros: — Great views — Large patio — Friendly staff The cons are all focused on the food: — Frozen fries, straight from the bag — Frozen shrimp, fried without much taste — Dense, bland hushpuppies — No beer on draft — No fresh oysters I will say the fried fish was pretty decent and had good breading, if a little heavy on the grease. I don’t mean to be overly critical, but it’s a real downer to be looking forward to seafood, get charged $ 35++ for two meals and leave disappointed, with a tummy full of grease.

Fried seafood doesn’t have to be heavy, greasy, or mystery meat. Check all the above for Snoopy’s. It’s old school, yeah. But that doesn’t mean it has to nasty. Expensive, bad food, good location. 2⁄3 is bad. Ordered fish and chips. I ended up peeling off the breading to get to the fish. It was saturated with oil and stinky. Deep fried fish, when done right, gently steams the fish, blanketed by a light airy batter resulting in a crispy, decadent crust with a perfectly steamed fish in the center. It’s actually not terrible for you. This is not the case at Snoopy’s. They need some training. Skip this place and go to Boat & Net or Long John Silvers if you want a guilty pleasure.

Oh Snoopys, you’re back to your amazing self. I ate here twice this week and could eat here ever day for life if possible. Love the people, love the view, love the Mahi Mahi. Can’t wait to come back.

I have been coming to snoopys since childhood and it didn’t disappoint. I wanted to introduce my hubby and we tried the crab stuffed jalapeños and tea and both enjoyed the flavors :) I would recommend the stop if you are in the area

Went here after reading so many good reviews and the hotel said the place was awesome. Sadly that couldn’t be any further from the truth. It does have very nice outdoor seating but the fact the tables never cleaned didn’t help. The shrimp tasted like bleach, the oysters were not cooked right and the frozen fries, well I could do without. All in all extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

Snoopy’s is a local favorite that offers fresh seafood from the gulf. The restaurant aesthetic fits the port aransas theme of fishing with pictures, fake fish, and fishing poles hanging up all around the store. This was a nice touch to the experience, but the main attraction for Snoopy’s is definitely the fresh food. I shared two items with my mom, the fish and chips and the broiled fish. Both dishes were delicious. However, the prices were a bit steep as you pretty much have to spend more than $ 10 for a meal that has a large enough portion. Overall, I had a solid experience and will likely visit again when I’m in the area. The food and service was great, and while the furniture wasn’t super nice, I found the aesthetics to be pleasing and suitable. It does get a bit crowded, but the line moves quick and there is usually some sort of seating outside. The only major downside to Snoopy’s is a little overpricing.

Best fish and chips you’ll find in the area. It’s a bit overpriced because they know they’re the best, but the view and the quality of food make the experience worth it. The seafood is fresh and the restaurant is located on a pier. There is a family friendly vibe and the staff is very nice. You won’t find food and friendliness like this in any ordinary place. Snoopy’s definitely has a distinct character. I’ll definitely be going back.

This is the place to get very fresh seafood at a very reasonable price. It is located under the bridge to the Padre Island. The restaurant is a self serve type. We were there in the labor there weekend, and it was a little busy, but still reasonable. We tried the fresh shrimps and a ½ combo. The shrimps are fresh, but you can still taste a little sea water taste, not a big issue for us since the freshness of the shrimps is more important! The combo came with 2 fried oysters, 2 fried shrimps and 2 fried fish, with salad and fries. The fish was very fresh! It reminded me of the fresh fish in Australia. Fries were also good. Overall, great experience, worth the visit!

Don’t be intimidated by the line out the door! The line moves fast. We were halfway down the ramp, and were sitting down eating within 30 minutes. There is seating outside along the water, but mainly 2 tops — and there is also seating inside, but with the doors open. It might be a bit tougher for a large group(8+) if it’s busy. The food is awesome. You’re going to get something fried. And that something is going to be seafood. Whether or not you get the fish and chips(awesome), or fried oysters, or fish tacos — you will then top it off with the perfect tartar sauce. It’s got just enough tang, but not overpowering. They do have some kids items as well, like a grilled cheese. Is it worth a 30 minute drive if you’re in downtown Port A? Eh, well, we made the trip. Haha, but definitely if you’re passing through via the South, you should stop off here.

Is it kinda divey, and basically a shack? Yes. Is there no AC and a long line? Yep. Does the parking lot reek of dead fish? Oh yeah … Is it totally freaking worth it? Damn right. Come for shrimp, stay for the beer and the sunset. Awesome views off the deck. Ice cold beer. Excellent seafood. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. What’s not to like?
