Sweet Tomatoes is a favorite between my best friend and I so we always love stopping in. Today we both agreed that this was the absolute best experience here we’ve ever had! The salad bar was tidy and fully stocked, and the food was extra delicious.

Pretty expensive for a salad bar. If you are gluten free and vegetarian, this is a good choice. But most soup options just so– so.

Smells like dirty dish water. My friends and I did not stay. We walked in and found a giant pickle stuck to the back of a plate on the serving rack. My thoughts were if they are not taking the time to clean the visible, then they are not taking the time to clean the invisible. We walked right out.

It’s a great place for salad if you must eat gluten free. Some of their other offers are not so friendly for those of us who need GF items but their salad choices are great. I do appreciate that they mark their items so that we who need GF can be careful not to eat it. On occasion they have a GF coconut muffin that are out of this world but I have yet to get any at this location. I did have some at their sister restaurant The Soup Plantation in San Diego and loved them.

Food is ok. This store has had its ovens down for over a week. What’s the point of going if you can’t have bread with your salad or even baked potatoe. They said they don’t know when their ovens will be fixed and for me to try back in a couple of weeks.

Second time I’ve gone to eat lunch and oven was not working. Didn’t even go inside. Last time I visited they did not tell me the ovens were not working until the end of the line. Really come on

I have been so many different restaurants. However I just love this place the most. Many options, not only for salads but also different drinks, delicious soups and bakeries. GREATGREATANDGREAT !!

I found an earring in my salad. I was lowkey about it and just got a new tray. I showed the manager and he refunded me and took my number so that he could get me some«free passes» — I never want to eat here again, but regardless they never reached out to me. It wasn’t handled very professionally. There are a few members of their staff(grace, and the bakery boys) that made my visit really fun, but the management is bad. And I’m grossed out. That’s all

I fell in love with this place the first time I came in. The price is very good for the quality of the food. It’s funny to read reviews complaining about the lack of meat. Well, that’s what Sweet Tomatoes is all about! The lack of meat. Even though there is no meat, which I thought would bother me, I felt more than satisfied with the awesome salads. You get a great variety with great flavors all around. They have some pastas, focaccia, and soups(although the soups were a bit on the salty side for my taste), sweet potatoes and baked potatoes, corn muffins, breads, coffees and some very good desserts. The ice cream quality is out of this world. I’ll be back for sure, many times. I definitely recommend this place.

Fresh salads and very good variety. However, the soup was a bit bland. But the breads and desserts were scrumptious! Will return!

Weylie from WahlieTV made me put Sweet Tomatoes as a must-visit during my Spring Break back home! I honestly didn’t expect much since it’s just salad, right? I don’t know why, but it simply is just so good! I added random items onto my salad, wanting to experiment, and I didn’t dislike any items in the salad! Chickpeas, beets, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes were some of the new items I’ve never had in a salad(I usually only eat Caesar). Make sure to skip the 3 premade ones at the very start of the line though, meh. I tried couscous for the first time, bleh. Sweet broccoli with bacon was also a pass. Beware of the carb-y area though. Muffins, potatoes, bacon bits, soups, oh my god. I’ll make sure to make better decisions next time to make room for the soft serve and blue berry muffin! Honestly excited for my next visit!

I’m not really into buffets, but Sweet Tomatoes is a buffet that I’m truly a fan of. You have a salad line that you go in beforehand, and then you have a choice from breads, muffins, mac and cheese, pizza, bread sticks. Along with that, you have a variety of soups to choose from. Everything is hot, straight from the kitchen. The food is good, but what I enjoy the most, is this place has plenty of seating, and I don’t feel like I’m bumping elbows with people here. The ambiance is nice. It isn’t loud in here, and I can have a conversation with someone here and not worry about having to yell over someone sitting near me. Comfortable, warm, and yummy.

I always seem to go to this place after a workout(so like once a month :)) but I am such a fan! The huge salad bar at the entrance has the freshest ingredients with premade salads that change every month. Inside are at least six hand made soups(with meat and no meat), baked potatoes, pastas, and fresh bread. Their blueberry muffins are famous and so good with butter. Also recommend their mac and cheese and soft serve ice cream(tastes like cool whip). For drinks you can have anything from fresh lemonade to flavored teas and coffees. Did I also mention they have a milk dispenser! The only bad thing is that there are few meat options. Besides the chicken noodle soup(which is okay) and pasta with a bit of ground beef that’s it on the meat. Totally recommend!

Decent soup and salad place but nothing special. They have blue cheese crumbles, which I love. But for about $ 10, I would expect something similar to Jason’s Deli salad bar. Jason’s Deli salad bar has fresher ingredients, is better stocked and has more variety. The carbs were ok. Mac and cheese had a runny consistency and the pasta with red sauce didn’t have much flavor and was over cooked. The dessert area is awesome. They had an Oreo ice cream that was great!

A great place to be, if you want to keep it light! A assortment of veggies and dips n sauces are great and so are the pastas. A grt choice for the price you pay for a buffet! Very fresh, everything.

I came here for the first time with a friend of mine to pick up lunch. We were both in a rush and just needed to snag something quick. There was a huge, two-sided, salad bar with pre-made salads and make-your-own salads. I liked the fresh ingredients and variety. For a first-time customer, I was very confused on how to maneuver this restaurant. I ended up spending way too much money on way too much food because I felt rushed and confused. Next time I will be a pro! I was disappointed in the chicken noodle soup. The chicken was WAY overcooked and the noodles were too. It also needed salt. Next time I will try to eat at the restaurant instead of getting it to go, because they give SMU student discounts and I can order what I want without being in a time crunch!

Sweet Tomatoes is a San Diego based restaurant chain. I’ve been to 3 of these babies now. I don’t know what it is about this business, but it keeps me coming back. And typically, I don’t like buffets. Its just so different, fresh and clean! Its not just your typical all you can eat soup & salad bar. Its SO much more. They’ve got ready made tossed salads that are to die for, as well as a rotating new salad on the bar as well. Last month it was a strawberry salad, this month its a BBQ ranch salad. But my favorite will always be the wonton happiness salad. And of course, all the toppings your heart could desire to make your own. Everything on the salad bar is labeled with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and notes what nuts are in the ingredients for those with allergies. They also have a carby area with muffins, pizza and other breads, along with pastas. There are a plethora of delicious soups that are labeled as well. They offer a small dessert selection, including soft serve ice cream. This location is on the smaller side of the locations I have been to(Arlington and Houston) but it was still great. I could’ve swore there was a valet option… well it IS Dallas after all. Note: I never noticed until my 3rd visit that I did not see any meat protein options at the salad bar. They had about half vegetarian soup options and half carnivore soup options. So take that into account if you are looking for more salad/meat options, cuz this isn’t the place for that.

Awesome food I want one of these in Tulsa! So many choices for salad bar potatoes, soup bar; there’s some pasta. Desserts. What’s not to love. Don’t look for beef or chicken or any other meat here. It’s vegetarian, almost. Yet here are some dairy products. But I love it! After devouring a yummy salad with shredded butternut squash and a side of Hawaiian slaw, then I went back and had blueberry muffin, corn bread and macaroni and cheese. Bad for the diet but yummy food. I will definitely come back when I visit Dallas again. I wonder where else there is a Sweet Tomatoes?

This place is my most favorite salad bar/buffet. I love how fresh the soups are. If you have a salad craving, this is definitely the place to be!
