The tacos and the salsa is off the charts! The staff are always super nice and the patrons are all friendly. Dropped in for a few beers and tacos; started talking to the locals and before long I felt like I’d known them my entire life. Put Rosa’s on your bucket list. Biker friendly but please respect, «no colors.»

Rosa’s is aptly described as a «Dive bar». I like the place, but was completely in shock when the bar tender told me it was $ 7.00(U.S. dollars, and not Pesos) for a large draft beer!!! This is two dollars more than Twin Peaks down the road that DEFINITELY is not a «dive bar». Rosa’s is cool, but they are overcharging significantly for beer! We were wearing our veteran motorcycle vests, and a kind gentleman insisted on buying us a shot, and this is the reason I go there as the people are very nice. SHAMEONYOUOWNERS for overcharging so much for beer!!!

First off, as long as I’ve lived in El Paso I can’t believe no one has ever recommend Rosas Contina! I’m always looking for new places to eat and I have to say I wish I would have came across this place much sooner. My husband and I tried the Tacos and the enchiladas, and they were delicious! If your craving some good home style Mexican food just like Grandma used to make, this is the place. Everything was so tasty we were tempted to try everything on the menu. Just gives us a good reason to come back!

We just heard the Rosa song at Sombra Antigua by a wonder singer/guitarist with my friend from Denver. She had to go see the namesake bar. We went in so she could buy her husband. T-shirt, sat at the bar and had a drink. The bartenders was very nice, the beers were inexpensive. I her the food is great. I’ll return to try the food.

Fantastic hole in the wall. Authentic Mexican Food. Try the Chile rellenos plate, or red beef enchiladas with egg on top. The queso burger is good too. Service is awesome, Carol will remember you and the cold beer you drink will be at the table along with some hot soup before you even order.

Out in the west Texas town of El Paso… people rave about the tacos… but get the BURGER instead! Trust me, its a tasty mofo! .res is a bit on weak side. Salsas are az kikn hot! Chile rellenos are a bit greasy! But dem burgers. who woulda thought?? Marty Robins memorabilia was ok, expected more! Always packed for lunch weekdays!

Rosa’s is a cool bar. They have live music, good people watching, and friendly service. Do not, under any circumstance, eat the food. It is the terrible school cafeteria version of Mexican food that, I’m pretty sure, is being cooked by the Mexican ladies in the kitchen as a way of getting revenge on the gringos eating it for stealing most of the southwestern United States from Mexico. Again, great bar, awful food. Go over the border and get some real Mexican food for half the price.

Very good, inexpensive food. I had a wonderful burrito, slathered in Green, spicy chile sauce.

My mother is actually the one who discovered this place. She had done some research on neat places to eat here and found it. Now, to understand WHY Rosa’s Cantina is famous, you need to listen to the song El Paso by Marty Robbins! Once you hear it, come to Rosa’s and soak it up! I have been on a Thursday and a Friday. On Thursday, the special is chicken tacos! All of the food is made fresh, no cans or microwaves here! The prices are awesome and the staff is really great! Rosa’s also has a full bar and live music at night if you are looking for something like that! The memorabilia on the walls is neat to look at and the atmosphere can’t be beat! I wish I had known about this place when I first got to El Paso 3 years ago! They also sell shirts, hats, and shot glasses!!!

An El Paso landmark. We love the song written by Marty Robins and wanted to see if the place actually existed. Yup!!! It sure does!!! We had tacos and the green chili cheese fries. Over all the food was good. During the day it’s a family friendly environment. And in the evening it turns into a dance hall with lives bands.

Went by there 05−09−15 for the first time. I heard it was a nice place and friendly people. The customer service was below standard. The female bartender too forever to serve my wife and I. She barely greeted us and was unfriendly. The other younger waitress had an attitude and never greeted us. The tall white manager had the same attitude. It was a bad experience. We’ll never go by there again sorry to say. Customer service and service not there.

Just moved to El Paso and came here with the family on our very first full day, a Sunday. Guitar player singing all sorts of American tunes and nice people all around. Well, we’re here on out second Sunday in a row and we like it even more. This may turn into a Sunday tradition. We feel welcome even two 10 year olds and a 7 year old. Best tacos ever!

OMG still awesome chili rellano’s! Good basic Mexican food right on the border. Love stopping in for the Marty Robbins burger too. Nothing fancy here folks — just awesome Mexican food in your basic neighborhood bar.

Was in El Paso for a meeting of Anglicans… had to go here to get the infamous flavor of the west Texas town of El Paso. It was absolutely enchanting, and not disappointing… a classic cantina… along the tracks, yards from the border… dirt parking lot away from everything but industrial dirt. All that I had hoped for. Our waitress was terrific… gave two clergy a terrific experience… asked what we had hoped to have and produced it. Tequila rich drinks, cold beers, authentic Mexican food, delicious. I could see Felina dancing… the only thing missing was the outline of where the handsome young cowboy laid dead. We went here twice in a two day stay and had a ball… got the t-shirt and bumper sticker! Wish I had bought the hat.

Yes, this is a famous bar due to the Marty Robins song, ‘El Paso,’ but there is also a local flare to this place that makes it worth visiting despite the tourist value. The staff is extremely friendly, and the crowd(although very diverse) is always fun and engaging. The food by itself is worth going for, although the kitchen closes somewhat early. Don’t show up at 8pm looking for dinner. That’s only a slight drawback when you realize that the locals who frequent Rosa’s are a fun and boisterous crowd that make it the best dive bar in town in my opinion! If you’re looking for good and cheap booze, live music, and a friendly atmosphere, stop by there. You’ll be surprised at what you’ll find. I certainly was, and have been going back on a regular basis for a year now.

Terrible service. Felt like we were ignored until we asked if we should get drinks from the bar ourselves. Also the kitchen was closed no food. Other Hispanic people were getting service. We happen to be white and another white couple walked out because they didn’t get service!

Definitely a dive, but worth it! Their chips are from a bag, but the salsa was on the mark. And the food was fantastic! My husband got a plate with tacos and enchiladas and said it was amazing. I got a burrito with rice and beans — the beans were great, but my rice was a little soggy. Still good to the taste though! Definitely a place on the El Paso bucket list.

I was out in the west Texas town of El Paso, not far from the New Mexico border, when I happened to drive by the infamous Rosa’s Cantina. How could I not stop in and see where that wicked, Mexican maiden tempted the gunslinging cowboy so long ago? The faded exterior hints at a seedy interior, but it’s not so. Inside the sights, sounds and smells were as welcoming as a dancing bar girl. The scent of fresh tortillas and beans and the sound of laughing diners were apparent in the dimly-lit dining area. A few tables and a red light on the wall a suggestion of the good times that must’ve occured within. Alas, I could not stop for a bite to eat nor a brew. I was off to see other sights in El Paso. But the spirit of Felina indeed lingers still at Rosa’s. I’ll be back. Out in the West Texas town of El Paso I fell in love with a Mexican girl. Night-time would find me in Rosa’s cantina; Music would play and Felina would whirl.
