It pains me to give this place three stars since Quicklys used to be one of my go to bubble tea shops in Flushing. I mean this franchise used to have three stores in flushing, but popularity and quality seemed to decline. This particular store is a shell of its formal glory but still serves up a great breakfast deal before hopping onto the 7 Line in the morning. 2 Pork buns for $ 1.50 is a definite steal. It won’t be the best or worst buns you’ve ever had but its definitely convenient and cheap. Despite the decline, this place has some of my favorite taiwanese popcorn chicken. Swing by for a perfect after work snack and you won’t be disappointed or ruin your appetite before dinner.

Really liked the store before the previous renovation. I loved the bread sales they use to have. Now there are very few seats indoors. The seating is awkward and it feels too empty in the inside where there is just space and no seats. The change of the cashier location is the worst part of their change. You can only order outside. The arrangement of the cashier is really inconvenient.

I usually get strawberry black tea or strawberry green tea when I come here. There’s a small discount if you have a student ID. What I don’t understand is why this place seems to always be getting remodeled(I think it’s happened at least 3 times over the past 5 years) and having their non-bubble tea menu change. The spring rolls and vegetable steamed buns are both pretty good.

Expertly constructed and organized food are hard to find in Flushing. However, do not be underestimated by this small store. The drinks are instantly refreshing like the green apple slush on a hot day. I often pass by based on the way that the subway is in front. Convenient location, delicious food and amazing drinks! A must go in Flushing!

I came for a quick caffeine boost before a test and the girl was friendly and speedy. My coffee tea blend was pretty good, not too sweet.

First renovation, they were serving bubble tea drinks and bakery goods. There were more seating areas at both sides of the place. And the register was towards back of the house and kitchen behind it. Second renovation, they have a window to order food like Crispy Fried Chicken, Fish Balls on a stick, Meat Pies, now have Bento Boxes(from my last visit on 6÷19÷2015) and drinks: slush, bubble tea and etc. You are ask to wait inside for your order and the seating area is like 4 tables and a few chairs.

Service was quick — they do justice to their name. As for the food, let’s just say it wasn’t good at all. Filling — yes. But, the meat and fish balls on the stick that I ordered was previously sitting in a pot of sauce in the open. That’s just disgusting. The hot dog on the stick tasted like plastic and fake. Overall, the food was greasy and unpleasant to swallow. I don’t recommend eating the meat pie because the crust is super hard and hard to even swallow. The pork bao, however, was delightful in taste — the pork bao and Fishballs were the only things I managed to finish because it actually tasted good.

the first review I did was back in 2011, so much has changed since then. they renovated so many times and the last renovation was a few months ago. the cashier is now by a window in the front and you go in to pick up. how dumb is this? what if it’s raining out?! that little awning isn’t going to cover anyone and no one will want to order from you. also my beloved favorite popcorn chicken portion got so small for $ 3.75 and last night the meat and breading tasted suspect. something was off about it and I wasn’t about to get food poisoning so I threw that crap out. the drinks I feel like became more expensive after the renovation. I guess they need to make their $ back. but seriously what is the owner thinking?! quickly recently opened up in Orlando and they serve ice cream sandwiches and other cool items. why can’t we have that? the decorations and paintings on the wall are also cute and cool. ugh quickly NYC I dislike you. going back to chatime and kungfu tea.

I came here to get some Taiwanese street food and was not disappointed! Although Taiwan’s night markets still serve superior street snacks the spicy fried chicken nuggets at Quickly came pretty close(it’s probably better for you anyway since the chicken nuggets in Taiwan will probably clog your arteries faster). I looked for duck/pork blood rice cakes(preferably grilled, rolled up in peanut powder with Chinese parsely hanging off of it, but didn’t see anything like that) – a classic night market staple, but perhaps too exotic to draw in many customers. The Chicken meat pie was not bad(be sure they warm it up first). The best was the«Red Bean H M organic milk». I suspect that while the milk is organic the syrup was quite the opposite of that. It did have a nice maple syrupy after taste. Skip the bubbles – you don’t want to know what makes them so chewy.

This is the second bubble tea shop I discovered that has Lychee Bubble Tea! Compared to the Luther milk tea I usually order at Chattime, the color did appear visibly darker and much, much sweeter. I think I’ll stick to Chattime for that one, but I’ve been to Quickly ‘s several times for bubble tea and I would say that it is one of my top 3 favorites! I also like the renovations that they have been making over the past year. I see that they have a new snack stall on the left side when you walk in the door. It seems to sell a variety of food such as the Chinese buns, bread, and fried stuff. Staff here are always nice and friendly too!

Warning: This is not a review about their bubble tea I can’t believe quickly’s now serving breakfast, yup I said it! breakfast! I come here once or twice a week before heading to work. Must try their dia boa(pork buns stuffed with cabbages), sweet potatoes(they coated the skin with sugar cause it’s super sweet) and Coffee. Trust me it’s good and cheap! Okay food: Pumpkin Congee(no taste) Scallion pancake(Disappointed that it’s steamed not deep fried and It’s salty) Tea eggs(beyond salty :()

Quickly is my new go to bubble tea place. In terms of flavor, COCO jasmine tea beats them, but I do love their sesame, coconut, and coffee flavors with reduced sugar(even their reduced sugar Thai and taro teas are sooooooo sweet!). Their bubbles are pretty firm and a little undercooked, but I really like them anyway. Quickly is also my go-to takeout coffee place. I like my coffee creamy with no sugar, and theirs is amazing! Rich, creamy, and hot. They also opened a mini duck counter so you can get some roasted duck, noodles, duck feet, and more with your drink. It’s already packed in little labeled takeout boxes so no need to wait. They still have their famous snacks and breads available. What seals the deal for me is their location, seating, and free WiFi. It’s right at the escalator of the 7 train, and they have tons of little tables and unlimited free WiFi. I knocked off one star because: their bathroom is so. Gross. I’m not a restroom princess, but this place makes camping more preferable. They keep it locked now, which I assume makes it a little cleaner. But still, shudder.

Before Kung Fu Tea came along, Quickly was my favorite(which explains why Quicklys have been going out of business since Kung Fu Tea showed up). It is not as sweet as Kung Fu Tea so it is an alternative if you do not like it super sweet. Moreover, they have different flavors and specialty drinks than Kung Fu Tea. I had my very first bubble tea here! I was sad to see the old store go, but the new décor is nice. I haven’t been here since the reopening, but I remember it being a great place to get bubble tea if you’ve never had it before. It was cheap and the toppings were free, no matter how much you get. I’m not sure if they offer student discounts anymore(you get 50 cents off) I heard from a friend that they still sell their spicy chicken, which was my favorite thing on their menu besides the bubble tea. Its pretty much popcorn chicken with seasoning on it, not really spicy but very good.

Bubble Tea anyone? With or without Tapioca pearls? This location sits directly opposite Macy’s on Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing, Queens. Good quality bubble tea that is fresh. Service takes an eternity with few workers serving customers and fulfilling orders. Minimal seating is available. Quickly is the spot where local high school students and 20 year olds hang until the wee hours of the afternoon on a very minimal budget.

I came back today to have some boba here since I haven’t been here since high school. Lots have changed besides the décor, firstly the bubble tea itself. I decided to get the Thai tea slush with no sugar, tapioca, and herbal jelly. I was excited to try this flavor but I was given the taro slush, I suppose they didn’t hear me? The slush itself was delicious, but the tapioca didn’t have a nice, chewy consistency-they were kind of hard. I think they may have undercooked their bubbles. My brother and friend tried the watermelon slush deal– 2 watermelon slushes with bubbles for $ 2.99. It wasn’t slushy and was a little watery, it was more like watermelon juice than a slush. Quickly was my go-to when I was in high school and in saddened that I didn’t have a great experience. I’d be willing to go back, maybe they were having an off day? But for the time being I’ll be going to kung fu, shiny tea, and comebuy.

There’s nothing more tragic than the fate of Quickly. It wasn’t too long ago that they were the poster image of bubble teas all around the city. Now every location is slowly being phased out and being replaced by Kung Fu Teas, Cocos, Chatimes, Teabaars, and many more other bubble tea shops. Even in Taiwan, this once popular bubble tea franchise is becoming harder to find. What’s left of Quickly in Flushing is this bakery/café hybrid. This place needed the renovation as the old Quickly here was dirty and filled with graffiti. I think Quickly’s bubble teas are still comparable to any bubble tea place. They just lack variety and the ability to customize. The snacks had gone downhill, more noteworthy being their fried chicken. The pieces have gotten smaller to the point where some are just pieces of fried dough. Their tempura fish sticks taste are a little better but its just covered with MSG. Maybe it was the lack of marketing or failing to go with the times that brought the downfall of Quickly. I hope this one stays though as it serves as a reminder of what started the bubble tea craze.

I sipped by first bubble tea a little over 11 years ago in the Quickly behind Flushing Library. It was a strawberry bubble tea with bubbles and a pink straw. And I think it was called Quickly’s, not Quickly.(A girl never forgets when she pops her first tapioca, alright?) Since then I have been with Kung Fu Tea and Cha-Time and have forgotten about this little chain. 11 years later… I was a little sad to hear that my first location closed down so when I saw this Quickly on Roosevelt Ave, I HAD to go in. The place looked very modern and upgraded with their two flat screen TVs on the wall and their multiple digital menu displays. There were tables and chairs for 4 along the walls but only 1 other customer in the store :-\ I had the LARGE coffee-flavored bubble tea(they also sell coffee drinks) for $ 3.25 with 2FREE toppings after my student discount. Loved the drink(smooth, RICH flavor), not their tapioca(too mushy), and the straw was very thin and flimsy when I tried to poke it through the lid(no problems drinking with it though). But free wifi, nice music, and a big table for me to sip my boba and crack open my book while waiting for the boyfriend. By the time he came to pick me up, a few more parties of 2 – 4 people have entered and I felt safe knowing that my first bubble tea chain is still being loved.
