My first visit here I’d say was pretty average. I honestly don’t remember what I ordered but apparently I thought it was worth a second visit. Actually, I recall loving their pickled veggies in the salsa bar. I guess that’s not really a good reason to go back for dinner, but I wanted Mexican and Taco Bell was the only other option in the immediate area. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. The female employee was re-stocking or cleaning the salsa bar. She quickly finished up and went behind the counter to take our order. I noticed the prices seemed a little high. But whatever… we are in Folsom. I ordered what is usually safe at any taqueria, super nachos(w/steak). The bf ordered his usual carne asada burrito. The cashier had trouble making change, like there wasn’t enough money in the register. The cook had to come out of his pocket. So my steak nachos was basically refried beans over chips. There were tiny pieces of steak hidden somewhere in the beans. The carne asada burrito wasn’t any better, in fact, as far as taste, was definitely worse. He said easy on the beans and rice, and of course it was half-filled with beans and rice, and just a little of the aforementioned tiny pieces of steak. It was really inedible and overpriced. We didn’t complain because the 2 staff were really nice, and I’m guessing we were one of a handful of dining customers that evening. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

The guy who took our order was doing it all so bare this in mind with my review. It was a one man job so I didn’t have high expectations. To begin the bathrooms were clean however no seat covers OR toilet paper! Big no no. We then ordered food and had the guy clean up some tables outside for us. He brought us chips, but didn’t mention where the salsa bar was so we didn’t learn til after. The tortilla chips were dry — no good. My taco salad was so-so. It came with a few pieces of steak(on the dry side), shredded lettuce, beans, guacamole, and sour cream. It was small and over $ 10. Family members said their meals were just O.K. Drinks: Horchata was a FAIL! Very watered down and not a hint of cinnamon in there. On top of that, they add a bunch of ice to an already pricey and not good drink. We wouldn’t come back to this place. It was a shame because not knowing the shopping center, it looked like the only family owned business so we wanted to support it. Catered towards white people and don’t blame them, it’s Folsom, but they lost our business.

Not up to par with a good taquería. Food is ok. Flavors so-so. No pastor! Salsa bar is nice. Salsas decent.

We always go for the fajitas. This place is good and reliable. There is always a great coupon out on the net too. Good selection of salsa and the beans here are great.

Really friendly staff, clean restaurant, and tasty food. Filling and cheap for Folsom prices. I was a little apprehensive about eating here since some of the reviews were negative, but everything was great. Good fast food, spicy salsas, and flavorful grilled chicken. They’ve been open a few years so they’re obviously doing something right.

$ 4.99 fish taco lunch special with rice, beans and free chips and salsa!!! I only spent 5 bucks and I’m stuffed… with quality food! This is a little hole in the wall right off iron point road… they just remodeled and added a lot of sitting. It was the only problem and they fixed it. The prices are reasonable even if not ordering from the specials menu and the cheese quesadillas are fantastic. This place is also very quick if you have a strict hour lunch, you will have plenty of time!

I had lunch here last week. Food was good, not great. It seemed a little expensive for what I got. I’d say it was a ‘forgettable’ meal and there are better options in the area.

Amazing! Nice staff, nice new clean tables inside and outside by the fountain. I’ve had the chicken burrito and the chicken tacos, truly delicious place, skip going to El Rincon Del Sabor(not that good), try Los Cerros!!!

Burrito tortillas are too soft. Otherwise good food & healthier than most fast food

I would only go here because it was close to work and I wasn’t in the mood for Taco Bell. The menu is okay, a little limited for a taqueria. Quality of the food is pretty decent, big portions. I never eat in the restaurant, which is pretty small, and I have to agree that the tables that have been eaten at are never cleaned off by any of the workers. If I had the time I’d drive down East Bidwell for some Andelbertos: P

Stopped in Folsom to do some outlet shopping and decided to get some food at Subway but then I saw this taqueria and decided to get a burrito for myself while the rest of my company went next door. Ordered my typical carne asada burrito with rice, beans, onions and cilantro w/hot sauce. Total came to $ 5.71(no drink, but did come with tortilla chips). They had a nice salsa bar with various kinds of hot sauce, some limes, jalapeño and carrots, etc. My order was ready in ten minutes — they cook it to order, so that’s good. Now, my burrito wasn’t the best I ever had(and I’ve been around!) but it was still a solid, good burrito. The steak wasn’t seasoned enough, but a sqeeze of lime and some hot sauce took care of that. This taqueria seemed new — staff was very friendly and place was very clean, including the restroom. Reading the other reviews, I wonder if they improved because of some of the complaints? Whatever the case, I was satisfied.

This is the 2nd time I have gone to this restaurant… and it will likely be the last. While the guy taking orders and delivering the food was nice, the place was very dirty… none of the empty tables were cleaned off… we had to do that for ourselves… the Salas bar was empty… nobody bothered to re-fill the station after lunch… there were no self-serve chips, and no napkins. I had the Carne Asada Burrito and it was fair… so, for my money, I would recommend La Placita or Adanberto’s.

Felt like grabbin some tacos for the lil road trip to Yosemite. Stopped here. Figured it was a nice hole in the wall. Should of known something was up when the cashier, didnt know a lik of spanish. I should of just placed my order with the taquero, but anyways. Ran to the store while they were makin em. had mom’s pick em up. Got to the car. Damn. they had no kind of salsa for the tacos. WTF… most plain, lame tacos of chicken and al pastor I ever had. I had more joy eating some doritos than the tacos. So disappointed.

This is a great little hole in the wall. It’s small and cozy, but the food is great and the staff is very friendly. It’s very quickly become a weekly spot for me and some of my friends. The only con for me is that is a little pricey. But I haven’t had a dish there I didn’t like and it’s in a convenient location. Definitely worth a try if you’ve never been there before, and the Salsa Negra is fantastic!

this place was long on my list for trying. I went for the lunch and ordered the wet chicken burrito, it was huge and taste was really good. …we were the first customers for the lunch ., so we got the #1 sign for our order but soon people started pouring in… looks like its pretty hit among the crowd, the staff is very nice and order was deleivered in very less time. Salsa was good and they have 6 varities to choose from, i will be going there sure and trying new stuff…

I spotted this new Taqueria while buying shoes for the squids at REI. It’s directly across the way, so I thought what the heck, maybe I’ll find a diamond in the rough? Unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered a crispy and soft taco and both were bland. The salsa is ok and I had to drown them in it to make it more palatable. Unfortunately I won’t be going back. The staff is friendly and nice though, so I would recommend you try it and see for yourself. I’d hate for them to not succeed, since it looks like a mom and pop operation.
