If you’re looking for cool pub and place to grab food then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this place. The food is awesome but the beer is even better.

Beer was good bar staff sucked. They have gone through a lot of staff changes and there is only like one or two Bartenders that are really good and others not good at all.

$ 5 martini night is amazing. If you haven’t had the tavern chips or the firecracker shrimp you haven’t lived. Come in on Wednesday for«steal the glass» night. Right next to the movie theater! Drew is the best bartender!

What a beautiful restaurant. The service was great. The portions were filling. I can’t say anything negative about this place. I wish it was closer to where I live because I’d visit often.

Stopped here on our way to Manassas with some friends. We didn’t know what we were walking into but we’re pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and friendly staff. The bar was well stocked with local beers and many different choices of mixed drinks. I chose a rum drink called the Captain’s Booty that was delicious as well as an ahi tuna Asian salad that I would highly recommend. If I am ever in the area again I would certainly stop my for lunch or dinner.

So i literally just walked out after sitting at at their bar for 5 minutes without being spoken to or greeted. As a party of 1 on business, I sat at the bar to keep their 2-tops open. Both bartenders stood in front of me without acknowledging my presence, not once, not twice, but THREE times!!! Oh well… Firebirds has never let me down so I spent my time and $ there.

Had never been disappointed until tonight. The shepherd’s pie was all potato and barely any meat. I specifically asked if there was pepper in the dish and was told it was sparingly used, and not spicy yet when I got my meal, my mouth was burning from the amount of pepper. Even my husband, whose cabbage was extremely spicy, took a taste and said he’s could taste it as well. The Ahi wasn’t as good, but the tomatoes and spinach white pizza that I got in place off my meal was excellent. The waitress wasn’t very friendly and when we explained to the manager the problem with the shepherd’s pie lacking filling, rather than apologize he got all defensive. We had met the previous manager on our first visit and it’s a shame he left for a job closer to home in Culpeper. We’ll probably think twice before returning.

Convenient, decent. Cute friendly staff. Nice beer selection. Food on par. If you are traveling and hate truck stop food, wander off just a little bit to Park Lane. Pleasant surprise. Nice area too. Lil traffic in n out the shopping areas. But easy enough to get to and grab a decent bite and have a good beer.

The Unilocal ratings for Park Lane Tavern are over the place, but my evening visit was a great one, especially considering I was hesitant to even visit. Yeah, I didn’t know what to expect being locating right beside the mall, but in the end I’m very glad I didn’t deviate to somewhere else. First off, the crazy shaped bar is huge, which is where I found an empty chair and admired all the woodwork. Yes, everything is wood, which gives it the entire place a warm and inviting feel combined the dim lighting. I loved it, but then it was on to deciding on food and drink. Fortunately, the friendly bartender was more than helpful on deciding on both, starting with a Gingerbread Stout draft, which I completely loved. Regarding my dinner selection, I was debating between two very interesting selections: the Bacon Stuffed Gouda Burger and the Pat LaFrieda Magner’s Corned Beef Burger. Yes, interesting indeed, right? So, I deferred to the bartender’s opinion and he immediately recommended the latter, to which I easily obliged. Yep, he was right again with yet another on-point recommendation, which was essentially a spectacular combination of two of my favorite handhelds, a burger and reuben sandwich. This was definitely my first experience with a tasty and unique combo like this… and hopefully not my last! With excellent food, drink and service from start to finish, my earlier hesitation was a long, lost memory.

First time there, we were ignored. Second time, told they were closing early. There will be no third time.

Park Lane is definitely a middle of the road type place. The décor is really strange with carpeting in the dining room that is basically an extension of the bar. They have a nice selection of scotches but that’s pretty much where it ends. We had an appetizer that was basically nachos made with ruffles chips. I wasn’t a big fan. Clarendon does’t need anymore Irish Pubs. overall, I may come back but I won’t be rushing.

I wanted to like this place, but there was just no reason to. There were only two of us on a very slow night(maybe 4 other parties in the restaurant), yet the waiter couldn’t keep track of which of us got what, which beer was which, etc… He also kept trying to get me to add $$ extras to my order and ultimately didn’t get my order right. For a simple burger, I got the wrong bun and the wrong cook — much rarer than I wanted. Regardless of the fact that it was dripping blood, the burger was somehow also dry and flavorless. Not impressed. The fries were good, but what fries aren’t? The waiter then disappeared when it was time to pay. We waited around for about 20 minutes between him clearing the plates and seeing him again — at which point we had to flag him down and ask for the check. As for my co-diner, he had to reorder because apparently the sandwich he wanted couldn’t be made without mustard. Makes no sense to me, but whatevs.

So my dining experience started off not great when it comes to service. When we walked in the host went to seat the customers in front of us and the customer was an off duty police officer and they went in to talk about the bomb threat at the mall. The host never came back and we stood there a few minutes before another hostess came to seat us. The other host just flat out ignored us. He saw we were right behind the cop and the women he was with. Just flat out rude. Then after we were finally seated, our waiter did not provide good service. Asked for our drink orders and after I ordered water, my spouse a soda, he did not even give my daughter a chance to order before he walked off. When he brought our drinks back, my daughter order a Mountain Dew and he brought back water with ice. Not the same by no means. While we were waiting for our food, the customers at the table next to ours, who were seated before us had not even gotten a waitress come over to take their drink orders. When the customer decided to say something to a hostess who seated other customers, she did not apologize for the wait, but did get someone over. When the waitress arrived, she asked the customer had they been waited on and did not apologize for the fact the they had been waiting for over 10 minutes, just to make a drink order. When our food arrived it was okay. I ordered pizza and it was okay. Even though it had different meats, it was very bland. Not good enough to finish by no means. Hubby order the burger and was satisfied and my daughter said the fish and chips were okay. Even though the food was okay, will not return due to the service.

For starters, I’m glad I did not notice the claim on Unilocal that Park Place was closed today on Tuesdays. This place has phenomenal woodwork and is in true form a classic pub atmosphere, well, at least the best you can do in the American suburb. The beer selection serves anyone and everybody. Lots of mixed specialties too. The salmon was recommended by the bartender, a sweet, professional and attentive Reese Witherspoon with a hint of Pam Andersen lookalike but better looking. Salmon was good but too salty due to the capers. I’m pretty sure the chef salted the fish where it didn’t need to. Still pretty good as long as the water kept coming! Deducted one star from 4 only because we are not at half stars yet.

Park Lane Tavern is a beautiful restaurant. We came in at 5 on a Saturday evening and they were able to accommodate our party of 10, no problem. The food was very good. I highly recommend the the bacon stuffed Gouda burger. My one complaint would be the size of the appetizers. The soft pretzels and firecracker shrimp either need to be more reasonably priced or better portioned. Service was friendly and fast. Overall a good experience.

My dear Tavern, You have earned the rarely awarded 5 star on my first(and likely rare) visit to your establishment. As an out-of-towner who is picky about her food, I found you on Unilocal with your consistent 4 stars after 111 reviews. On this 112th review, let me comment you, your server Courtney, and the delicacies food you served on this most auspicious HS graduation(King George HS graduation of my nephew Seth’s) occasion. You split our check. You served 5 excellent meals including the Cobb salad, cranberry chicken salad, steak salad, peppersteak, London broil, ahi tuna appetizer and Jameson Whiskey Bread Pudding. When polling my family for their experience, they said the experience was: excellent, fantastic, elegant. Bread pudding was the hit of the meal. That said, great atmosphere, free parking, kind service, yummy food, and in the world of my family«God bless you/yelp for helping find a wonderful meal when we knew nothing about this area». And, thank you, Unilocal and tavern team for earning me brownie(or maybe bread pudding) points with my family!!! If I’m ever in Fredericksburg again, I will be sure to stop in again!

This place reminded me a lot of the The Pub at International Mall here in Tampa, FL. A lot of different beers and scotches. I got Maker’s Mark Bourbon Chicken, 2 chicken breast over some mashed potatoes with a Maker’s Mark Bourbon glaze over the top. The glaze was amazing and the mashed potatoes were so good I couldn’t stop eating them. It’s the type of food you can get at any number of other pub/bars. Which is not a bad thing!

I went to the tavern unexpectedly, and was extremely happy with the results. The service was great, our waiter never let our glasses empty and made great suggestions as we were newcomers to the gastropub. We started with the sampler platter app, the goat cheese was delicious! My boyfriend really enjoyed the beer selection! He tried the Ocktoberfest and the speckled hen. I had the pumpkin beer! All great choices. for dinner he had the fish and chips, which he ate so quickly I only had time for a little taste, yum! I had the jaigersnitzel… large portion and great flavor. When we told the waiter it was my birthday, he immediately brought me a sample of their most expensive scotch. Very nice! Finished off with the bread pudding. Sweet, hot and creamy!
