An original Houston deli who’s name was sold out to become just another trait lacking chain. Something about a fight in the family that split the original Antone’s crew up. So out goes the old school deli’s and in comes franchised sandwich store which supplies premade sandwiches to Kroger’s deli section. The name sake stores them selves stock bare sandwich with a few sides thrown in. Food: Turkey swiss on white– Bread’s not so fresh, crumbly. 2 pieces of sweet pickles to last the entire distance of the meat filled baton. Pre-made and wrapped like in Krogers. C+ Pasta– Zingy with a touch of crunchy pickled relish. B Not sure why even have a store when it just has pre-made poboys. All the fond memories of the late after school meals and friendly get togethers are now replaced by empty booth and library quiet tables.
