The balayage ombré color game is a dime a dozen in Houston but in terms of quality, attention to detail, and truly listening to what the client wants, this is it. Her work is impeccable and she isn’t scared of taking on any challenges you throw her way. You can begin with a consultation so that she can prepare your expectations before your actual appointment. She will tell you what’s possible/​not possible (sometimes it takes a few sessions to get what you want and she’s honest about that). What I really enjoy is how she educates you about the entire process and what you can do to maintain the vibrancy and authenticity of your color. You’re not left in the dark as to what’s going on.
The thing that makes her a stellar standout in the balayage ombré scene is her concern about doing what make sense for the customer, whether it’s my time or money, she is fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. She wants you to get get your money’s worth which can attest for how impressed I am with her quality of service. Maybe you need some fancy salon, a glass of champagne, and some extra pampering for your color experience. But if you’re like me, I can skip all of that if it means I’m spending less time AND still feeling fab by the time I’m out the door.

Jen is amazingly talented! She is very professional! My hair was was a mess! I always dyed my hair at home and it was 3 different colors. Thankfully Jen could fix it! She treats you like your her sister, and all she wants to do is make u feel beautiful! I highly recommend you coming to Jen!

She’s great. I have been to several stylist in CA and TX. She is the best and will be going back to her consistently. I’m probably the most annoying client because of my constant changes and occasional lateness, but she deals with me so professionally and I always tip her well for the inconvenience! Thank you, Jen! Can’t wait until my next appointment. My hair is amazing and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg! She gives me exactly what I was asking for.

Jen is absolutely amazing! I recently moved to Houston from Pittsburgh and was searching for a new hair stylist (Thanks Unilocal!) She was able to fix my botched ombré (which was more like yellow roots fading into white hair) done by my previous stylist and gave me a perfect ash blonde ombré. She also cut my new extensions to blend with the rest of my hair. She was extremely easy to get ahold of and to schedule an appt with. We talked over several texts and she requested pictures of what I was looking for to make sure she got my hair exactly the way I wanted it. She was extremely professional and friendly! Talking to her felt like talking to one of my friends I’ve known forever. After she did my ombré, my hair was very ashy. She told me if the ash didn’t wash out over the next few days and I wanted it toned to a golden color simply to text her and we could arrange an appt. I decided I wanted it toned and she was able to squeeze me in the next day (free of charge.) My hair looks shiny, healthy and most importantly LIKE THE OMBRE I’VE ALWAYS WANTED. She even texted me the next day to make sure I liked the color and it still looked the way I wanted it to after washing it. I would definitely recommend Jen to anyone looking for a stylist who knows exactly how to give you the hair color you want. She is wonderful.

Made the mistake of letting someone else touch my hair. NEVER AGAIN. Hong was able to fit me in her busy schedule and fix the other stylist’s botched work. all while keeping my hair in tact. She may be booked far out, but trust me she’s worth the wait.

I have never gotten out of a hair appointment and felt this happy. MY HAIR IS SO GORGEOUS!!! Seriously, I really didn’t expect it to look this nice, but that just goes to show that Jen is an amazing hair artist. She knows what she’s doing and she assured me that I’m gonna look exactly how I would want to look when it’s all done. Whoohoo! Doing celebratory dance right now!

Have been looking for a good hair stylist over the past year, and I’m so glad Jen was able to squeeze me in. I seriously don’t think I’ll let anyone else touch my hair from now on! If you don’t get a reply back from her, don’t sweat it because she will get back to you. I’m typically awkward at first time appointments with a stylist, but Jen made the time go by SO quickly. She is so down to earth. We literally just talked the whole entire time.
I wanted to go really light, but she had to do some color correction because of previous color in my hair. She wanted to save the integrity of my hair, and recommended that I come in for a second session to get my desired lightness. Happy I listened to her, because after the bleach, my hair is still pretty healthy. My balayage melts so perfectly. She has such a light hand, which is hard to come by. Most hair stylists have a heavy hand which results in an uneven balayage. She is a little pricey, but honestly, you get what you pay for. I’m already anticipating my second session with Jen!

I came to Hong with demarcation lines & extremely damaged hair hoping she would fix my hair & she did more than that! She did so much to keep my hair from becoming anymore damaged but yet getting all the tones correct since I had more than 3 tones in my hair. Yes, she’s pricey, but the results are definitely worth it. She also contacted me a few days after asking how my hair was doing & did I still love it. & of course. Still in love!

Okay, so I’m changing up my review because I was able to get a hold of Jen! Once she messaged me we got an appointment settled right away. I usually feel a little awkward on a first time appointment with stylists, but it’s really easy to warm up to Jen. She is really laid back and took her time explaining to me what needed to be done in order to achieve the look I wanted. I really wanted an ashy colored hair color as I’m so used to my dyed hair looking orangey brown. She took her time and even allowed extra time for the color to settle, making sure the color was perfect and up to my expectations.
After the coloring was finished, she cut my hair and curled it – I felt so gorgeous! I thought my hair would feel a little damaged but its actually really smooth for it being processed and lightened a few levels. People were hitting on me the rest of the day as well. That really took me by surprise. My mother said she liked it a lot, even though she previously didn’t like the idea of me lightening my hair. I’m Filipino so having an ashy brown/​dark blonde hair is usually difficult to pull off. This just tells you how amazing Jen is!
For those that are having a tough time getting in touch with Jen, read Teresa D’s comment as she explains perfectly on what you need to do and why it’s difficult to contact her. You’ll probably have to wait a while since she is extremely busy and highly sought after. She’s pretty much a one man show so everything is done by her, so just sit tight. As for me, I’m definitely looking forward to another appointment with her and exploring more hair coloring options.

Ok let me start by saying I think it’s really unfair people have been giving Jen poor reviews due to not getting in with her. She is amazing at what she does, so understandably it’s going to take her awhile to get back to everyone. She is only one person!
I received a balayge/​ombré and cut from Jen. As she was doing my hair this past weekend I noticed her business phone kept blowing up! Like seriously this girl is well sought after but she isn’t the type of stylist that is constantly on her phone (like so many I’ve experienced before). I really appreciated that and think that this is how every beauty appointment should be. It was truly an amazing customer service experience. Jen and I talked for what it seems like hours because she takes her time, which obviously bore the best outcome because my hair looked and felt amazing after! I didn’t feel like she was rushing to get done with me to get to another person.
Tips:
–Be persistent (like seriously text, call, email etc.)
–She works long hours so the hours she would be able to get back to anyone would be late at night, if you’re ok with that include this in your texts.
–I can already tell you she’s booked every weekend until around May of 2015
–Expect to hear back from here anywhere from 1 – 6 weeks at the latest
–If you do have an appointment with her already, book your next appointment face to face.
–Last but not least be patient! It’s like the saying «good things come to those that wait» this could not be more true.

I’m going to knock this down to 4 stars because she’s still amazing, but I’ve had a hard time getting an appointment with her, I guess because she’s so amazing and busy. I’ve been texting with her for the past 3 weeks or so trying to get some time in. She’s taking mostly colour appointments now, rather than cuts. I still HIGHLY recommend her for any colour (particularly ombré, sombre, etc) that you might want done!

Jennifer is truly the queen of Ombré /​Balayage. She is amazing, I couldn’t be more happy.
Recently, I wanted to do something different to my hair and I fell in love with the ombré/​balayage look. I was having a hard time finding someone in Houston who specializes in this technique. The first Salon I went to was a high-​end salon because I thought, surely, they would know how to do a decent ombré. Wrong! I basically ended up spending $ 300 on a typical highlight job.
The second place I went was to a local salon that claimed they knew how to do what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I spent $ 250 on something that was FAR from what I was wanting. My hair was 4 different colors, highlights boldly went up to my roots, and there were several lines of demarcation.
Spirits low, funds low, on the brink of tears… I was ready to give up and just grab a bottle of store-​bought hair-​color… then I found Jennifer.
Desperate, I called her on a Sunday (her day off) and she returned my call and gave me hope. She assured me that she was an expert in what I was looking for but also was an expert in fixing the messes that others left behind. She was able to fit me into her schedule that week.
Jennifer took very good care of my hair and I am extremely happy with the results. It is exactly what I was looking for and she made it seem effortless. My hair is GORGEOUS and I attribute every ounce of my hair’s beauty and my personal happiness to Jennifer’s expertise and caring personality. I felt like she cared as much for my hair as I did. She’s the best!!!

Jennifer is the absolute queen of the Bayalage/​ombré highlighting technique! I’ve had this technique done to my hair on several occasions before at other high end salons but have never been as happy with the color and technique as I am with Jennifer’s work! Not only did she do An amazing color job but she also corrected a bad haircut I received from another high end salon prior to my appointment with her. I’m so happy to have found a new permanent salon for all my hair services! Best in Houston!

I originally went to a high-​end salon and assumed that they would be able to do a decent ombré to my hair but boy was I WRONG!!! I came out with a full head of blonde, orange and green tinted hair, it was a disaster. I was near to tears before I contacted Jen from Erayba Beauty to help fix my hair
A lot of my friends went to her (I should’ve listened to them the first time) and I found her work on instagram to be phenomenal. Everyone wants to get their hair done by her so she is one busy cookie but she was able to squeeze me in the next day. My hair had to go through a 2 session color correction since there was so much damage from the first guy.(had a second appointment with her the next week) She didn’t want to risk frying my hair any further than it was.
Jen is an ombré and balayage queen. She’s very talented and did a WONDERFUL job. I absolutely love my hair! (I added a photo of the color correction). She gives you her honest opinion and doesn’t just try to take you for your money. If she thinks your hair is at risk of being too damaged she will definitely let you know. She actually gave me a leave in treatment for damage control. My friend came along with me and got his haircut with Jen too. After that, he was obsessed with his new hair and couldn’t stop looking in the mirror. I definitely recommend coming here! The prices are reasonable and definitely worth every penny.

Jennifer saved my hair from a bad ombré experience. I am in love with my hair again. I will definitely recommend anyone who is interested in getting their hair ombré to visit Jennifer FIRST! Totally worth it.

Summer is here, I wanted a new look. I was referred to Jennifer from a friend. She’s super sweet and was very patient with me as I was hesitant with what I wanted. She made me feel very comfortable and walked me through the whole process. She ended up doing a freestyle balayage on my hair. No exaggeration, I LOVE MY HAIR! I get so many compliments on the daily.
She is great at what she does and clearly has a lot of experience. If you’re looking for something fun and new I would definitely see Jennifer.

Jennifer’s work is absolutely amazing. I had my bridal shower airbrush makeup done here. My face looked absolutely flawless. I recieved so many complements.
