Sarpino’s Pizzeria

I found this place because it’s open late, I ordered the White Pizza. It was delicious! I tried saving a piece but are the whole thing!

DO NOT TRUST THE DELIVERY DRIVERS!!! I am the Manager of an apartment community where this Sarpino’s location delivered to a resident of ours. Because we have a lobby that is open 24 hours and requires deliveries to check in with concierge before access to the resident’s floor is provided, we were able to determine exactly which company it was. We witnessed on our surveillance video the delivery man exit the elevators after making his delivery, grab an expensive decorative piece from one of our tables in the lobby and placed it inside of his empty pizza bag! We couldn’t believe it!!! And when I called and spoke with the General Manager of the store the next day, he wanted me to hold off on calling the police so he could basically call the delivery man and ask him, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALL ON TAPE AND I DESCRIBED HIS EMPLOYEE PERFECTLY TO HIM! Never did he say that he would discipline him in any way! Could not believe they would employ someone like this that is trusted with customer’s personal information and access to their homes!

A coworker and I decided to order from the Braeswood location for lunch. We work in a medical buiilding and with traffic down here it’s so much easier to get food delivered. I placed the order at 11:45…I am typing the comment at 1:30 and still no pizza. I called to check on it at 1 and they said that it was on it’s way… this better be a damn good pizza because we are starving!!!
***Update; pizza arrived at 1:40, the delivery guy was apologetic and had brought us a free large pizza to make up for the wait. I’ll accept the apology, but I doubt we’ll order from here again.

I have ordered pizza from this particular location several times and they are right on the money every time. The pizza is always hot and the delivery time is fast. I usually order before or after the lunch rush. I recommend this location to anyone that is in the area!

I love Sarpino’s pizza! I am just inside the delivery zone, so it’s my go to when ordering delivery from home. I usually get the vegetarian, which comes with pineapple, and the chipotle ranch and jalepeno ranch on the side. Even with it’s delicious and addictive pizza, the downside is sometimes they forget the dipping sauces… If you order online, make sure to call and confirm they didn’t forget anything.

When I spent a week in Houston, I frugally bought 2 large pizzas from Sarpino’s. They were both pretty decent and lasted my whole stay. They sent a bunch of coupons in my email since then but haven’t used any. Not bad but a little spendy.

It’s tough for me to lower my ratings for this place, because the no minimum delivery is great, and the food is very good… when they get your order *right*.
The past three times I have ordered, my order has been wrong. The first two errors were with the turkey club sandwich I ordered both times. The online ordering layout is VERY simple, and lets you select exactly what you want or don’t want on your order. The turkey club comes with bacon, which I did not remove from the order, nor did I remove the lettuce that also comes with the sandwich. I also ordered my sandwich with green peppers and cucumbers. The first time I received the sandwich, it had tiny little bits of green pepper and cucumber, turkey, and cheese. It literally looked like they took one little skinny piece of bell pepper and one little skinny piece of cucumber and diced it. Skimpy. No bacon, no lettuce, and hardly any other veggies I ordered. The second time, I ordered my sandwich the exact same way, even requesting double lettuce and double peppers on the sandwich. This sandwich came to me just turkey, cheese, and bread.
I waited a couple of weeks before ordering from here again. I ordered a large calzone and received a personal pizza… which really wouldn’t have been a big deal, if they had made the pizza the way I had ordered the calzone. I don’t know where they got this order from, but it was revolting. It was SMOTHERED in onions. Disgusting. I took one bite, and threw it in the trash. On a positive note, the delivery driver was friendly.
Until this place understands how to read an order ticket, I will not be ordering from here again.

After a late night event, I was looking for delivery pizza. The national chains were closed, so I called these guys. Their prices were comparable to other pizza places, but they would deliver at 12:30 at night! I ordered their medium classic Italian pizza. It arrived in about 30 minutes or so. The pizza was very good! Crust was like a hand tossed, not too thick, but not a thin. They will be my «go to» pizza place when I come back to Houston, TX! Good job guys!

Website claims fast delivery. Took over 1.5 hours to get my food which ended up being cold, soggy pizza. Buyers beware…

Food is OK but service sucks. Delivery driver didn’t have the right change and also screwed up our order so I had to give him a bigger reward for his screw up.

I have been going to sarpinos for quite some time for lunch and I must say they have never failed me!!! There pizza is super yummy and the crust is amazing. I love the Hawaiian style personal pan which is my personal favorite. You can’t go wrong with this pizza for lunch or dinner!!! Great choice!

The food was overpriced. Spent about $ 35 on a pizza and 5 wings. The wings were pretty dry and didn’t taste fresh at all. The pizza was so greasy that it leaked everywhere in my car after picking it up my clothes and the kitchen counter. It was hardly edible. I mean the grease was just dripping off the pizza. I took a bite anyway after using a paper towel to take some grease off and the pizza was just gross. The cheese-​everything. Don’t waste your money here. There are plenty other pizza places nearby even on the same street (kirby)

If I could I would rate a 0! We just ordered pizza and salad there and they delivered to us this evening. So I’m getting my plate together serving my salad when I noticed a black and red bug just moving around. Talk about being grossed out and spoiled my appetite. My husband called the Manager who had no consideration that we found a live bug in our food. I wanted a full refund and he refused talk about poor costumer service. You would think to avoid live postings like this you would honor a refund to some one who found a bug in there food. I will never order from them again and I Highly recommend the same. I will be posting this on every website not to mention contacting the news for unsanitary food environment. And the City of Houston. I will be canceling the charge on my credit card. Horrible, gross, live bugs in food.

I use this location to order pizza for my employees in our office — it’s always a hit. I use the website to order and have never had an issue. I love the quality of the pizzas — I have to compliment the veggie pesto — I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m convinced if I was forced to become one, I possibly could avoid killing people if this was consistently available for me to eat… :-)

Sarpinos has fresh ingredients and the food is delicious! Move over Domino’s, there’s a new pizzeria in town!
The spinach Alfredo pizza is awesome! The calzones are fresh, not soggy. The cannolis are great!

The good: Their pizza menu is extensive! But if you can’t find a single pizza you like, you can make your own. I tried the Spinach Special — spinach, cheese, and garlic butter sauce, I think. It was pretty good! My boyfriend got the Hawaiian — Canadian bacon, more bacon, pineapple, and cheese. He liked the toppings a lot, but didn’t think much of the basics of the pizza (sauce, cheese, crust). They deliver, or you can pick it up.
The bad: The location is super weird — in a pretty empty shopping center behind the Kroger on Main. I wouldn’t eat there — definitely pick it up or have it delivered. Or may be at lunch time there are people there — but when I was there around 7:30 not a single person was eating in the pizzeria. I picked up our pizzas, and the service was pretty bad — people were just waiting around for their pizzas, and I waited a while before he told me I could come up to pay. It looked like their was something going on — they seemed really confused about where pizzas were. I agreed with my boyfriend — the pizzas are creative, but the basics (sauce, cheese, and crust) were just okay. A-​OK pizza.

Warning! Warning! Warning! — do not order from this place or at least past 10:00 pm. my girlfriend ordered from this place last night at 10:15 pm a ceasar salad and a chicken Parmesan and have been paying for it since then. This is clearly food poisoning and I will report this to the BBB ASAP.
To make matter’s worst. I attempted to speak with the manager and he refuses to get on the phone and provide some kind of explanation.
This is unacceptable and you people should be ashamed of yourselves to be in business.

Note: This is not a review of the restaurant experience as a whole, just on convenience, service, quality of my delivery experience.
Around 10 am this morning that after breakfast hunger pain really kicked in. So I took to EAT24 because I needed delivery options as I don’t drive into work. Found Sarpino’s as close by and my best option as they didn’t have a crazy minimum order (only ordering for myself so the $ 10 was waaay better than other options) and delivery was free. Placed my order as a «pre-​order» (Gyro Sandwich on Pita & drink) because they weren’t open yet. Delivery was set for 11:30.
Now on to the good stuff. My lunch was delivered 10 minutes before time — check, Gyro was absolutely delicious (*add feta to, totally worth the .75*) — check, food also came with chips which I didn’t realize it did — check+. My only complaint was that when the delivery guy gave me my food, he said that I needed to pay for it. I had to go and print out my Paypal receipt to show I had in fact paid. HOWEVER, he was extremely polite about it and apologetic to the fact that he didn’t have the right information. Even promised to make sure he double checks for next time. He introduced himself and gave his name and everything. THAT put them back up to 4 stars. Plus again, the food was just well… Great. I see others have bad thoughts about their pizzas but I can certainly vouch for the Gyro. Do it!

Place is terrible ordered anchovies they gave me artichokes, ordered an Italian roast beef instead of aujus they gave a little container of?? hot water maybe? Called to complain and for 20 minutes they kept hanging up in my face and when I finally got ahold of them he said «I’ll send you some anchovies» This would have been fine if I didn’t hate artichokes. But i let it slide. 2 hours later… Nothing. This wasn’t a small order BTW this was a $ 50 order.
UPDATE: delivered my anchovies and aujus. Aujus looked a little better.

I wake up from a nap. It’s 9:00PM. I haven’t eaten dinner, and was too lazy to go out to grab something. I went onto grubHub, but most of the delivery restaurants were either closed or had a fee/​minimum order. Except for Sarpino’s. Although the wait was almost an hour long, it’s still nice to find a place opened this late and providing free delivery.
I wasn’t really in the mood for pizza, so I got their gyro sandwich, which looked to be pretty popular. It came about an hour later, wrapped in foil in a styrofoam box w/​a bag of chips. The gyro meat tasted like the typical mystery meat in mall-​food gyros, but I enjoyed their selection of veggies to top it. It came with a good helping of tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and green peppers. The onions gave it a little sweetness, while the others helped give it a contrast in texture.
Overall, it filled me up and didn’t make me want to hit the gym. I’m definitely going to try more things from this menu later. Great place to get delivery!
