One of my favorite spots in the Houston area for… shakes! I don’t visit Someburger very often and I havent been to the Baytown location, but everytime I’m in the mood for a chocolate shake, this is one of my go-to spots. Yes, I admit I have only eaten their burger and fries one time just to say that I have, but they were nothing special if you don’t like frozen patties and fries. Their milkshakes are just really addicting. They’re made with some brand of ice cream that I’ve never heard of, but that’s ok. I believe they only have chocolate, vanilla and sometimes strawberry. You can also have them make a malt for about 75 cents more.

It is what it is. Flat frozen patties and low quality toppings. I wish them luck in being able to keep afloat with property taxes only increasing after all these years. Stop in for a mom and pop nostalgia shake shop but not for a good burger.

I have been coming here since the late 60’s before they moved to this location. I love this place and the burgers are great. Friendly people working.

If you’re in the mood for a quick and yummy burger, this is the spot! I’ve driven by this tiny stand at the corner of 11th and Studewood since moving to the neighborhood and finally had some cash in hand(and a hamburger craving!) so I dropped by. This is not a fancy place with friendly service. If you want fancy, there’s plenty of places around the block. If you want friendly service, go to Chick-Fil-A. Yes, the people behind the counter are a little curt but the interaction is very brief so it doesn’t really affect the situation much. The famous Someburger is only $ 3.50 and comes with all the bells and whistles but you can opt for bigger and cheesier options too. The taste of the burger was reminiscent of Whataburger but without the chopped onions it wasn’t exactly the same. The fries were good but the star of the meal was definitely the onion rings! Crispy, big, delicious slices of onion… mmmmm. I may have to make another trip for those and try a raved about malt as well. The big problems with this place are: cash only, service, and the poor seating situation. The only seating options are two picnic tables surrounded by hungry pigeons. If you take your order to go, it’s definitely worth it!

I am extremely disappointed with my someburger experience today. I have been going to someburger with my grandparents since I was a child. I have always thought highly of the establishment, as it was one of our go-to neighborhood spots. Today, we pulled up to someburger and started ordering. Everything was going fine until I had to adjust one of the 4 meals I was ordering. The older Hispanic lady taking my order was so awful. When I first began ordering she demanded me to «speak up!» when I thought I was speaking at a good volume. I ignored her tone and kept going with my order. Upon adjusting my order, she looks at me with a confused and sour face. I then further explained my request, when she yells«WHATEVER!» and closes the window INMYFACE and refused to serve me! I remained calm and polite thought the exchange and feel so disrespected. I have worked in the industry and have never seen or experienced such horrible customer service. Won’t be returning to Someburger for a while.

Other reviewers were right about their onion rings — DELICIOUS! I liked my burger. The place is a small, trailer-like shop with 2 benches to sit(not recommended; too much bird poop. Lol) We ate our burgers in the truck. Other than that, it was fine.

I have been driving by this establishment almost every day for twelve or so years. I have always opted to keep on driving home because the line is too long, or I didn’t have cash at the time(they don’t accept credit cards). Well, today was the day! No line and and I had cash on hand, plus a «junk food appetite»! I will keep this short and sweet… The bad reviews of this establishment are all on point! Extremely rude employees, dry buns, dried out, flavorless meat, and basically just crap! Worse or equal to typical American fast food. I rank the worst fast food burger joints above someburger! The rude employees were probably a big influence on this negative review!

Dang, has saved my butt many a day over the years. Nothing fancy, but would, rather eat there than Ruggles Green(suspect the green) across the street.

It is what it is. Likely Costco burgers/chicken patties and frozen fries/poppers. Don’t expect customer service because they treat you like they are doing you a favor and don’t ask for any extra condiments. :) The only reason I go here is for the malts… because when they make them and don’t forget the malt they are like homestyle, great. However you can wait a long time for your food and 99% of the time I have gone there someone that was after me in line gets their food first. They really need to work on their customer service, but don’t think they really care what people think.

This is a great place to stop and enjoy a quick meal outside in the beautiful weather. Burger and fries basket is my recommendation

Great neighborhood burger joint. The ladies that work the shack are very friendly. If you live in the Height then it great place to walk to or ride your bike.

This is by far the best greasy spoon burger in Houston. Perfect setting for a Heights area eatery. They have now added a covered eating area in the back with plenty of tables. I drive from Hobby area for this burger and last time there another lady told me she drives from Jersey Village. I don’t think anything else needs to be said.

This is basically just an overpriced Whataburger. Actually, I’d say Whataburger is better. It was good though. The way they dress the burger reminds me of Whataburger, which I really like. I’d go here way more often if it wasn’t overpriced. For this price, I don’t think I’ll be back. I’ll get my burger fix elsewhere

This place hasn’t changed in 25 years. The best part of this place is their fries, they’re delicious. The burgers remind me a lot of whataburger. They’re not anything very unique, but they are definitely a good tasting burger. This place isn’t a place you go to sit down and eat at. You either take it home or eat in the car. I’d say if I go here it isn’t so much because the food blows my mind, but it’s more or less to remind myself of a place I used to go to as a kid.

TRYTHEONIONRINGS No frills neighborhood hamburger joint best enjoyed on a sunny day. The burgers are standard affairs much like this utterly unassuming Heights institution. It is a straightforward establishment operated by the same stern industrious ladies for decades. Someburger hasn’t changed, why should it?

My Order ================ 1. Double Meat, Double Cheese Burger with mustard, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Approx. $ 6 + tax 2. Onion Ring. Approx. $ 3 + tax 3. Coke. $ 1.59 + tax Review Summary ================ Food: 3 out of 5 Service: 3 out of 5 Ambience/Atmosphere: 3 out of 5 Value for money: 2 out of 5 Review Detail ================ Food: This was a pretty middle of the road burger. Being in the Heights and across from Ruggles Green, maybe my expectations were a little high. Another review mentioned«hand shaped patties». Nope. I saw one of the cooks taking the burger patties out of the freezer and they were the standard mass-produced frozen burger patties with paper between each patty and each patty had exact edges(as if made by a machine, not«hand shaped»). The burger was cooked fine. They didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked, which is fine for an average burger place. The bun was toasted on the griddle, pretty standard. It was definitely not a $ 6 burger. A step above Burger King, but not a great burger. The onion rings were very good. Fresh, crispy, and hot. The nice thick kind, not the thin ones that fall apart. Service: The lady who took my order was efficient but surly. Ambience/Atmosphere: You can’t eat inside the place since it’s all a big kitchen. There are picnic tables under a canopy in the parking lot area. Lots of pigeon poop on the tables and benches, but it was ok. I imagine it’s got to suck in the summer, though. Value for money: I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either.

A fine burger in the tradition of Whataburger and other no-frills, thin patty purveyors. The burgers are fresh and and the patty has a crisp to it that I enjoy. It’s a hole-in-the-wall roadside burger with zero pretensions and a tasty, solid product. Tip handsomely. Those grouchy ladies have been sweating it out in there for years. People who over-analyze this kind of place should have their smug faces punched repeatedly.

I was hanging out at a friend’s place in the Heights and decided to grab a burger from here because it was within the walking distance from his house. The menus are behind the glass windows, on the rear wall. They have a pretty small menu selection — burger, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and etc. The standard fare you’d expect from a burger stand. My friends and I got the some burger combo(SBB combo). We had to wait for more than 10 minutes for the food to come out. There were a couple of people in front of us but there was virtually no line. The ingredients are pretty fresh, at least the veggies. The toasted buns are a nice touch. The biggest problem about this place is that the patty is very low-quality and dry. If not for the dry patty, I would have given 3 stars. With tax included, it’s a little over 7 dollars for the combo, which includes a drink. The consensus was that we would have rather gone to burger king than coming here. The food here is mediocre at best. Though it was a hole-in-the-wall type of feel but the food is somewhat disappointing. 1) Dry patty 2) Sort of a slow service 3) Pretty much on par with burger king 4) cash only
