Great strip steak, shared with my wife. Ordered mr and perfect, juicy all the way. One of the best on our trip. Server was personable and efficient. We shared a salad and steak, she made it happen. Marriott standard! +

Had the ribeye with asparagus and broccoli. Nicely done. Booth is hard to sit in. Waitress very attentive and crowd was steady.

I don’t know why there’s so many negatives on here, but I’ve been staying in this hotel forever. I have never had a problem with service or food. As far as hotel bars and restaurants go, this place is on it. I had the BBQ salmon on a cedar plank with a side salad, and steamed rice for lunch. It was perfectly done, and it’s a nice generous portion. I’ve also had the steak salad quite a few times. It’s been consistently good. No complaints here…

I don’t know if the food is good or not. The bartender acknowledged me, then ignored me for ten minutes. He had multiple interactions with several other bar patrons, but couldn’t take away the dirty glasses or the paid bill in front of me, never mind ask me if I wanted a drink or a menu. I would have taken both. Additionally, this moron blew a big single diner bill as my company allows $ 150 for dinner, and I would have spent it all. It’s hard to understand how some places operate, and if there was a McDonalds or Subway within 5 miles of this hotel this place would be out of business. Stay at a different hotel when you come to Kansas City… Unless you don’t plan to eat.

The food was very good and the service impeccable. I had the smoked pork chop and it was flavorful and moist. Prices were reasonable for a hotel.

Great Food and service. They make an excellent Martini. Also as a side order the Brussel Sprouts and get a side of Siracha

I thought the overall ambiance of the restaurant was pretty nice. The TVs arena little had to see from some seats, but overall they are well positioned. I also thought the finishings were nice. Sadly, a restaurant is about more than the fixtures. The pricing, as others have mentioned, is absurd. $ 24 for a price of salmon. Nothing included with it at all. No rice or vegetables. Nothing. Salmon on a plate. It was okay, but lacked the crisp outside I would expect from a steakhouse. On the plus side, the beer selection was pretty nice and prices for the beers were pretty reasonable, but they also have glasses on the small side. Fine for me, but could be an issue for others. Overall, I’d stick with the non entre items on the menu(burgers and salads).

In town on business. I ordered the KCBBQ Brisket, thinking I’m in Kansas City even the hotel restaurant should get this right. WRONG! The Brisket was thick, tough and very fatty. It was drowned in bbq sauce and still had no flavor. The cheddar mashed potatoes came out barely warm and the cheese was arch stretchy. I ordered a Pepsi to wash it down and it was flat and watery.

Traveling for business + no rental car + nearest restaurants 10 miles away = I chose to ignore the bad reviews and stumble downstairs. It’s pricey for what you get, and I wouldn’t come here if I wasn’t staying here, but I am glad I didn’t leave the hotel. We sat in the bar, which was cozy. The service was excellent(upon seating, I looked up at a speaker above our booth and the hostess immediately said, «is the music too loud? Let me turn it down.» The music actually wasn’t that bad. But I let her turn it down anyway.) Server was attentive, and the chef came around during the meal to check on us. I got the steak ceasar, which was ok. The steak was a bit tough, and I would skip it next time and get a baked potato on the side instead. My husband got the brisket– and that was actually really really really good. Like actual restaurant good. Bottomline, get the brisket and skip the cab if you are staying here and lazy.

Don’t waste your time or money. Grab dinner before you get to the hotel. My sparkling water was served promptly but the glass was full of water spots. I didn’t say anything as there was no harm — just very unsightly and distasteful. As the waitress was taking my order I dropped a knife. She said«I’ll get that later». I ordered the steak salad and waited 27 minutes. She never came back to my table again. I saw her bringing drinks and bread to other tables. I tried to get her attention but she never even glanced my way. I don’t expect much from hotel restaurants but this was the worst I have ever encountered. I got up and left !

This is a typical Marriott restaurant with similar pricing, feel, and experience. The food was good, but a bit pricey for what you get, but the convenience of it in an area where there isn’t anything for about 10 minutes is key. I got the steak salad, but changed it up to be on the spinach salad. They made the change without an issue. It was great, and I would recommend it if you are looking for something on the lighter side. The service here was excellent, and was definitely some of the best service I have received at a Marriott hotel restaurant .

After reading the reviews I was really worried about eating at T-bone Charlie’s but I was very happy. I avoided ordering a hamburger or the quesadillas and opted for the steak salad. I was with 6 others and everyone was very happy with their meals as I was. Dessert was great and I highly recommend the gooey cake. Service was terrific and our waitress linda was very helpful and efficient. Two ordered the brisket, another had the sliders and the rest had the salad. Bread pudding was a hit too. Don’t be afraid to eat here it wasn’t bad at all.

Pretty bad overall but not horrible. Spent two weeks here and ate here 3 times as a last resort. Burger was surprisingly bad considering its KC.

If you have the means… GOSOMEWHEREELSE!!! I had the quesadilla and it was dripping with butter on the tortilla and the butter tasted old as well. The cheese was very low quality and was completely overcooked. Wish I would have heeded the reviews I read on here and not given them the chance.

No on the quesadillas but the wings are good. The blue cheeseburger is ok, but nothing to get excited about. Service is great though. I was there two nights and both times everyone is very friendly. Took great care of our group. If you need to stay at an airport hotel with restaurant, this is a solid choice

I have been forced to eat here on a few occasions because there is absolutely nothing around this hotel and when you take the hotel shuttle from the airport and don’t have a car, you are stuck with few options. I ate here for lunch last week and was greatly disappointed. A few years ago, I would always order the corn chowder because it was so delicious. Then they struck it from the menu. So this time, I ordered the soup of the day(Chicken chili) and a side of asparagus and hoped for the best. The soup was lukewarm at best, making me wonder how long it had set at an unsafe temperature. I asked the server to have my soup heated up and for some bread because I only got crackers.(All the other soup comes with bread). I have ordered the asparagus before, and it was plump, juicy, and nicely seasoned. Not so this time. It was thinner than a pencil. I have never seen asparagus that thin before. When I asked the server for more water, she brought it back, I was disgusted at first sip. The water tasted(and smelled) like dirty socks. I don’t know where she got that water, but it did not taste like the water I had in the first glass.

I wish I’d have read the reviews on this place before I ate here, because I definitely would have gone elsewhere. But I was staying at the hotel, and it did give the impression that it could be a decent steak house. So i gave it a shot. Bad idea; or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I’m only giving it 2 stars instead of one, because as far as airport hotel restaurants go, it probably meets that expectation. I had hoped for more. I ordered the KC strip(in KC). took half an hour, devoid of juice, and had a horrible flavor. I’m assuming it was defrosted from frozen, and as another reviewer pointed out, was chemically tenderized, which probably was the very artificial taste. This piece of meat has made me very hesistant to order steak out for a very long time. The augratin potatoes side was at least edible, though not very flavorful. An aside, the bartender was arguing with another patron about being overcharged for ‘house’ wine when the menu indicated some premium wines. I won’t be going back.

I’m going to write this review in the spirit of SNL’s Weekend Update a’la Amy Poehler and Seth Myers. «Really?» *Ahem* I get that I’m at an airport hotel restaurant and should expect to be charged $ 8 for a $ 5 glass of wine, but ordering a $ 30 fillet mignon that tastes like $ 10, you really think it’s ok to charge me an additional $ 4 for a baked potato? Really? When the baked potato is better than the fillet itself, and then you call me «strange» when I ask for salt and pepper and steak sauce after requesting no butter or oil on my steak… really? Don’t judge my eating habits, ass hat, when you pre-compliment your wife who’s cooking for chucking out a $ 30 steak that tastes like a gristly sirloin before I’ve even had my first bite… and then you huff and puff around the bar because the other 10 people at it are wondering where the the drinks they ordered twenty minutes ago are… really? Really. The fact that any hotel bar/restaurant thinks they have some un-holy right to charge anyone $ 30 for anything sans salad, sans side, sans friendly customer service is absolutely appalling. Who do you think you are«everything is ala carte»… Del Frisco’s you are not. I’ve never used such«flavor» when reviewing such a flavorless place, but this is one bad dining experience I’d soon forget. Save yourself the post workday treat… you’d be better off with a glass of wine and a Power Bar from the hotel lobby. Really.

Surprisingly bad food for a Marriott. I got a tenderized, marinated Kansas City strip(in Kansas City no less). It was chemically tenderized and marinated(salt water added to add weight). Since marinated steaks turn grey instead of brown when cooked, this one had a coating of worchestershire sauce for color. The asparagus were good but the baked potoato was bland. All in all, a disappointing meal(and no bread and butter!).
